Yeah but his acceleration over the first 30m is meant to be like godly, which is what counts for triple jump, so he is pretty damn fast where it counts haha
thighs dude for the hop and step, but definately calves for jump..focus on the thighs more tho, for theyll help u get the best possible hop and best step u can get.
MOMENTUM(speed and body mass)...u need to swing the knees forward to help drive the body and to also get the legs high enuf for the next phase..also, he uses his arms to help keep the momentum between speed loss during phases.
Believe it or not... he was one of the strongest athletes in terms of weight lifting etc... except his physic doesnt show it. I remember a little discussion on that on a program on the BBC a few years a go. Thats were his explosiveness comes from... his natural strength.
think about how good he could be as a long jumper i mean he can do around 9m per jump and i dnno what the world record for long jump is but i dnno that sounds prety good
long jump record is 8.95!he never realy prepared long jump but he wouldn't have reached those levels, his ability was not loosing speed in between his 3 jumps
Although his legs aren't huge, they are very strong. Some people, like Edwards, can never obtain "huge" legs naturally because of their DNA.. However he has the quintensentail build for a triple jumper -- he is lanky. So I'm guessing his core and legs are incredibly well conditioned, and even if they aren't physically big they sure can deliver.
triple jump is about the speed you keep between each jumps you do to get more distance for a farther jump

Well, feet aren't standard measurement... but to answer your question that's about 59 1/2 feet, which is basically 60 feet.
