  • this brought me to tears. 3 guys (1 senior and 2 postgrads) committed suicide this past summer. this year has been difficult for everyone. this song is so special to me...

  • I love Switchfoot's normal stuff but THIS... words can't even explain...amazing and heart wrenching.

  • I named my guitar November after this song.

  • I just don't know how break down my heart is when I listen to it .....

  • i heard this song at church awhile ago they played it along with a clip, as a recovering addict it really hit hard reminded me exactly where i was heading how i am sitting here sane today is truely a maricle GOD IS GOOD!! We (addicts) are people also no matter the road we traveled.

  • this song is sooooo true.. just because someone messed up in life doesnt mean they need to be judged and treated badly.. they have a family that loves them.. and even if they dont.. God loves them and who are we to disrespect something that God loves the same that He loves anyone else

  • Incredible song!

  • Admittedly, I love this song but it gets difficult to listen to because it's all so real

  • this song melts the coldness in my heart. The worst thing you can have is indifference about other's lives and pains.

  • An 8th grade girl at our school committed suicide this week. She had been in the ICU for a week and she died at 2:30 this morning. After school, I got into my car, and my car started playing this song on cd. This is Nicole's song. To anyone who reads this: you have so much to live for and you are so loved.

  • @Seetheairuhh woah, sierra? I just looked up this song from jessie's cd... And i agree with you completely. Every time I hear this song I think of her. But I also think of how much she brought everyone together that day, even though it was for the wrong reasons. We were all there for each other. That's how it will always be..

  • @Seetheairuhh I'm sorry, that's all I can say..........

  • I baul every time I hear this song... :(

  • I like this guy, but he has a very bad habit of ripping off earlier artists. Jackson Browne. Morphine.

  • @whpriol1

"Somebody's baby" is a very common lyric. It's not like the rest of the lyrics, which make up most of the song, are the same. It's a totally different song.

  • @whpriol1 Do you honestly think Jon Foreman intentionally ripped off Jackson Browne? That sounds like criticism solely for the sake of criticism.

  • This song breaks my heart. It's so beautiful and reminds me to open my eyes.

  • For some reason i'll never understand, i used to sing this to my puppies cradling them and whatnot. Ever since they were born and even though they have now grown up and left, i still associate this with them.

This song just seems to bring the mother out of me.

  • this song touches my very soul. makes me want to give the shirt off my back to a homeless guy.:/

  • This song opens my eyes everytime i have the joy of listening to it...thank you God for putting this song in Jon Foreman to open our hearts and eyes....

  • One of my most favorite songs ever written...beautiful...remarkable....

  • Just beautiful. That is all I can say.

  • One of my absolutely favourite songs, handsdown. This song is alive with beauty and compassion. Thank you.

  • Jon still amazes me every time. I'm so glad I met him this year :)

  • I just love this song...Too bad that just a few people have listened to it...

  • This song... how can you even describe it...

  • no one knows good honest music anymore..

  • Really? No comments... Well I would just like to say that this song is really powerful and Jon Foreman is a fantastic song writer :)
