  • My least favorite of this symphony, mainly because of the first few measures. Not my taste.

  • We are trying out this piece for our orchestra. An absolutely fantastic piee, well conducted

  • this song always reminds me of fat people so hes the perfect conductor for it :D in the best way possible!

  • Thanks!

  • This seems a bit slow for an allegretto

  • This piece does seem to lack it's allegretto but i think Jeffrey seems to get more out of this at an andante pace.

It sounds good to me though.

  • A PERFECT ORCHESTRA!

  • one of the most underrated symphonic movements EVER. the part at 3:00 sounds almost carnival-ish and it comes out of nowhere...pure awesome

  • @thesir27 Carnival ? That's an allusion to the 2nd movement.

  • very very well done

  • Absolutely beautiful! This part of the symphony deserves more viewing. I can't imagine the whole without it. It's a quiet and elegant repose before the fireworks of the 4th movement.

  • @Counterop I completely agree. My favorite part of a Classical symphony is the minuet (or in Beethoven's case scherzo).

  • This is one of my set works for AS Music, as well as the first movement from this symphony. At first, I didn't really like this movement, compared to the beauty that is the first, but I'm steadily beginning to warm to it. Mozart was a genius, and I only wish I could compose as well as he =(

I wish we could have studied the fourth movement, though. That five-melody counterpoint would be interesting to write about in an exam...

  • what an excelsious symphony, mozart´s best? 40th? long live mozart

  • sol fa# fa mi mib lab sol fa# mib re mi re etc discover where is that

  • 4:40 ?

  • I award this 3 Dresdens.

  • curious how there are so few comments on this movement. it is just as grand as the rest of the symphony and a piece of the whole that could not be removed without the rest falling apart.

  • Menuetto,Allegretto,Purissimo ,Splendissimo...per gli Dei e grand' anime!

  • and a big deal for woodwinds

  • this movement has to be the best movement for the woodwinds. i love playing it.
