  • V8 swapping an rx7 should be a crime, the whole point of an rx7 is the rotary engine, if u want a sexy v8 car go buy a corvette!

  • @1pocketbikespike no chance this a top conversion Ls1 is a tuff motor probly just as light as a rotary too

  • @ bgdakid lol

  • Get a dual exhaust so it can breath

That muffler is for a ricer engine

  • What does sex have to do with racing. Every time a well crafted vehicle vid is shown some pervert says; I just came in my pants. If that's the case we just found out why your girlfriend is having a full session with another John. It only takes you a 2 sec to finish. Now that's fast. Lol

  • @MrMrsmotley That's bullshit because I didn't cum until the end of the video. so 1 min and 12 seconds NOT 2secs.

  • Is it me or does he have a fart cannon on a V8 car.

  • @Get1337 Rotaries can get similar Peak Power but no mazda rotary can make a powerband and torque curve like an LS engine especially when it has forced induction.

  • @drewnashty tell that to 26b 4 rotors 1600 hp plus no turbo

  • @MrMakeanimage vid or GTFO!! last time i checked a 4 rotor made 400 hp n/a

  • Comment removed

  • I love tuners, but I love American Muscle more. So, to me... This is sex to my ears and eyes.. Time to rape replay lol

  • @Get1337 He is probably referring to HOW it makes power rather than HOW MUCH power it makes.

  • mazda tuff with chevy stuff

    i love it

  • 9.9 secs is not 9 its 10 =)

  • whats the curb weight after the swap

  • FN sick man!

  • What now my Tiburon runs 9.7.............in the one eighth haha

  • nice car...but FUK man! Leave the rx7's be. The reason rx7 is known is for its rotary, Genious design and pure racing moster.

  • @pumpitdown0x It's not quite "genius". It depends on your tastes. The LS1 simply outperforms it in every way possible. Some people are just closed minded and aren't willing to accept that fact.

  • @pumpitdown0x i agree rotor all the way

  • yea most people stop with the LS swap. he went a step further and turbo'd it. that's crazy! go hard or go home.

  • God D*mn!! talk about hooking!!!

  • LMAO, what lag?

  • @porschedrifter Yeah !

  • Putting a Ls1 in a RX7 is like eating sushi with ketchup -__-

  • @nofearkid98 Right? At least go rb 2jz or something jspec

  • what a shame, you should burn down that fucking car, rotor all the way, faggot, gay mother fucker, and for @bonestockrotorary,you are full of fucking shit,if you dont know about the rotory engine, dont pretend you know, rotor all the way you gay fuckers

  • @skeckevo well that proves you dont know anything if you read his comment

  • @skeckevo you make such a valid argument....

  • I wonder how many people knocking this swap own rx7's. If you don't, and you've never dealt with the reliability issues, gas milage, oil consumption, and cold shutdowns, then shut the FUCK up. I'm on my fifth rotary powered car now. It takes a LOT of love to keep the wankel in there.

  • @bonestockrotorary

i like the ls swaps i have done a couple to fd's and i am looking for another to do the swap to. although i build rotary's as a hobby it just depends on how big your pockets are and who is building the Wankel and who is tuning it. with those factors at steak its hard to make a rotary's reliable, your correct. There are many out there who claim they can build and tune but cant. the ls swaps are a great remedy to this problem plus they are cheaper to build. i am a fan of both

  • what size turbo you runnin?

  • piston engine in that rx7,what a piece of shit, big fucking FAILER,thats lame and its fucking bull shit just like the driver.

  • @robo3060 "Failer" What? Hahaha learn how to spell fag

  • @dpizzlej dont hate, because the rx7 is shit with that engine

  • @dpizzlej how can i be a fag and i am your fucking father, ask mom?

  • This is one of the greatest blasphemy swaps there is. I want to do this build. How much is the cost for a conversion like this total?

  • this car is small and ugly...no lie...love the speed.... love the beautiful engine,,,,,but this gen rx7...idk

  • how hard is it to perform the ls1 swap??

  • @Marshmallowrex

why put this shitty motor in a corvette? they should've put a rotary in those. maybe its because of the power this motor puts out with ease at any rpm.

  • who the fuck put a v8 inside a import? thats like putting a rotary in a chevy. fucking gay.

  • Not A big fan of American muscle motivating A Jap car. That said, This thing is mean! No wheelie bars, It hooks, goes straight. All on what looks like 10 inch wide tires! Kuddos!

  • that is mad crazy

  • why do people swap a ls1 in a rx7 im mean its fast but its weird with that sound coming from a import

  • @Rodger614 cause it has much more power, no turbo lag, and it is almost the same weight. Thats just the begining of it. Also and ls1 is more reliable than a 13B twin turbo

  • @Rodger614

    That's the best part :P

  • what you have when you drop an ls1 in a car is one of the best motors in one of the best handling cars. Finally you get the perfect car.

  • Love the idea: Body of a lightweight import, and heart of a fucking BEAST!!

  • u owe me a 10sec car

  • Roll Tide!

  • that things making a lot of power down low.. shew

  • Ever tried to repair apex seals ( is it even feasible )? LS Aluminum V8's get better gas mileage than an equally stout FI 2 rotor. More torque at a fraction of the cost, especially when it's time for repairs. You would be stupid to remove a perfect tt rotory motor for a swap, but once the inevitable blowout occurs, the LS V8/ T-56 is a logical choice for a replacement drivetrain.

  • Fuck This... Ruined That Baby With V8... American Engines For IS ONLY FOR AMERICAN CARS!

  • @MrSirekOne Try driving a laggy modified FD with only 400whp and then drive a LIGHTER, instant response LS7 swapped RX7 making 440whp with a STOCK motor and then say that. Lets face it, the LSX motors are the best thing that could happen to these cars.

  • @colindyvig The worst thing that happened to RX7's were streetracers...

  • @colindyvig I don't believe a ls1 is lighter than a 13b rotory. Regardless its his car he can put a turbine in it if he wants this is a badass rx7 this vid is 3 years old has he hit 8's?

  • @colindyvig the ls motor will get better mileage than a less powerful rotary too

  • @osp80 Yup. Don't get me wrong....rotaries are fun, simple to build and tune, and totally unique and enjoyable....but the LSX motors make a DAMN strong case.

  • @colindyvig well yea but dont forget there is the 3 rotor you could throw in it also... those actually have torque :p ... and like you said there simple to build and tune... I think they make something like 400hp by just turning up the boost... big single turbo 3 rotor have seen 1600hp and run 6.5 in the 1/4 mile ;)

  • @MrSirekOne says the moron who knows nothing about cars...

  • its not an rx7, r in rx7 stands for rotary. so its just an x7 now lol

  • sucks... rotary are better it would of done better

  • it still fail,mrs authleak,so move on,go rotor.

  • @AuthLeakz .it still fail,faggot

  • rotor all d way,

  • powerglide?

  • I WANT THAT CAR.

  • that thing is auto.

  • @AuthLeakz thanks,it still fail,so go fuck yourself

  • hey import guys...notice he's running an LS1?...what..i'm just saying lol...

  • Look it's Vin diesel's RX-7.

  • Comment removed

  • why do people burn out? warm up tyres or just look cool, cause im struggling to think of a decent reason.

  • @lagundafire To warm them to get better traction. Also, it takes away the dirt and grit on the tires for more traction.

  • All this silly bickering. Why not just appreciate the video instead? A gorgeous rx7 running 9 seconds.

  • sucks about doing these swaps is after you get your ls engine you need to swap out all most all the internals to low compression and then get your turbo system which in cost about the same to make the rotary just as fast or faster :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Tj1056 u dont have to put lower compression pistons ,just go either forged internals or keep it stock and not go over 11psi, u will never get the torque of the v8 with the rotary and with the v8 u dont have to wory about the seal blowing out all the time like the rotary's are famous for and most people keep the carburator in which i wouldnt boost that id go high compression n/a .... just my .2 cents

  • @thyreapu yea but then the rotary can do 7 sec with only 900whp max 1/4 mile while the v8 need something like 1000hp+ :p and if you dont want blown head or block you will use low compression if you want to make power like this like I said for these swaps

  • @Tj1056 Your stupidity makes me want to run head first into a brick wall.

  • @theapparition90 what stupidity its fact

  • @thyreapu o and replacing seals is easy if you no what you doing :)

  • Wheres the rotary at?

  • nice car, I like the fd I like the ls series engines but I hate the v8 sound coming from an fd. Its just wrong, it would be like a mucle car with a turbo 4cylinder sound.

any way nice build, and fast street car.

  • This thing is badass!!! im american muscle all the way, but ive always said the 93-95 RX7s are Awsome,, they look badass, almost like baby Dodge Vipers in a DISTANT way,,, but to see one of these with a v8? an LS motor to Boot? wow,, thats a badass ride!!! oh and to anyone who hates on a car like this,,? youre an idiot! simple as that, and for bein such a hater you should be Grounded and should have the keys to your moms mini Van taken from you till you smarten up!! great car man!

  • @IRONSEAN7 An Rx7 is the child of a Viper forcefully raping a Miata

  • @IRONSEAN7 Completley Agree With You There. Have You Ever Seeen The Veilside RX-7?

  • @IRONSEAN7 Im a tuner type guy but i have to admit i love ls1-ls7 v8s ar sooooo reliable and a ls2 has 400+ stock thats bad ass

  • @IRONSEAN7 I hear that. Some people can't accept a good thing. I love the rotaries as well, but the LSX swaps are probably the best all around options.

  • You kids are jokes. the ls1 actually balances the car more then the rotary. Better for handling, launching, drifting. etc. I am 100% import lover all the way. But the ls motor is a beast of its own and deserves respect from all areas of our world. You people need to start doing some research before coming here and making yourself look foolish. If you dont believe me just look for hinson ls1 rx7 autox.

  • @dannyk1087 no it does not... the v8 is a unbalanced engine design.... the rotary is lower point of gravity and goes in circles so it has no unbalance in it...

  • LS1 RX-7s aren't Mazda anymore :(... they're fag wagons.

  • @ godschild v8 owners don't care about constant maintenance either.

  • @RedlineXD if you maintain it good you dont have to work on it all the time. since ive bought my truck with a v8. altinator was replaced in a 6 month period so far and its an 89

  • @gotenks137690 alternator for one isn't part of the engine. If that goes out, thats an electrical issue dude.

  • @Texarmageddon i know this. thats to show that maintenance a big deal with my engine. I realize that the alternator is bolt on. dude.

  • v8?? wtf?

  • Metallik695 is right. budzg check out rx7 vs any car on youtube most of the time the rotary powered rx7 wins. If you ever drove a rx7 with 400+ RWHP you would say HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!

  • import tuner made for drag race... cmon

  • it's a fucking V8 in it!?

  • how much power she maken????

  • that has just fucked the car sounds like crap now and handleing would be next to 0. I would never swp my 13b 4 that motor.

  • @budzag This car is awesome. I don't know how you can say a rotary sounds better than an LS1. The handling might not be as good but if you were on a road course you would easily pull away from a rotary rx7 with the same hp. with this build he would atleast double the tourque numbers and that is what you would want on a track not just a 10k RPM engine that makes 100 ft lbs at 4k garbage! my car makes 300 ft lbs of torque from 2k all the way to 7k redline. lets see you do that in a 13b.

  • @Metallik695 Mate, my rx7 sounds alot better than this i can tell u that for a fact. This just sounds like 99% of all other v8 cars out there. Im not saying there nothing wrong with V8s just keep the rx7 the way it was meant to be. As for power i will smoke over 95% off cars that run on the road its so funny when people come acting like the big man and try 2 pass they just dont have a clue. Haha

  • @budzag funny you say you will smoke 95% of people out there and your car sounds good yet when I look at your videos you don't have a video of a 9 second RX7 or an 11 second car or even a stock car with an exhaust clip. no you have a home decoration video. Where is your proof?

  • @Metallik695 I will upload vid of my can soon.

  • Goes straight as a pin doesn't it? Nice ride dude. Bet the LS1 really pisses off rotary crowd?... NIIIIICE.

For all the shit they talk, lets see a 9 sec daily driven rotary.

  • i did the same looks better without wing and a sexy exhaust and long tube headers my ls1 stock though dont want so much choppy idle

  • stock rx-7 body?

  • NICE! WHAT A SMOOTH LAUNCH!

  • @littleAE86thatcould ... so you know better then someone who actually has done it...

personally, none has ever said after an ls swap "well that was stupid i ruined my car"... no they all say that the rotaries are piles of junk and the ls improved the car dramatically

  • @osp80 I know the WS6/SS cars weighed on average 3500-3600lbs. My other points still stand. It's a heavier car with an inferior suspension setup built on an antiquated chassis. If you want a LS powered car that can handle a swapped FD is the better option.

  • @li7in6 theres no reason to call rotaries carp also.

    watch?v=zZ42tFG6cXQ

  • @littleAE86thatcould There is reason, and I've given those reasons.Reliability, lack of torque, lack of realistic power potential(a 900hp rotary is rebuilt after every other drag run), they run hot, they pop from slight detonation, etc. etc. etc. You're video is cute but doesn't show anything new.A lighter car can have a better power:weight ratio with less power, and a lighter car has higher cornering speed. It had nothing to do with V8 vs. rotary and everything to do with light car vs. heavy car.

  • Nice job. LS1 powered RX7s are tuff as.

You don't see any in Australia.

  • @littleAE86thatcould Simple fact is I have a great handling, great looking car that sounds great, and has a bad ass drivetrain that is superior to the 13b that came in the car originally in every possible way.

  • @littleAE86thatcould Light car that handles well coupled with a light powerful motor that makes more torque/power more reliably than the motor that came in the car all while getting better gas mileage. Why wouldn't you?

  • @li7in6 your missing the point....its not an RX7 anymore. you have no idea how much a true RX7/rotary guy hates that guy^.

  • @littleAE86thatcould Im a true RX-7 enthusiast. It is naive to think that the FD was great simply because of its engine. The FD was great because it was a finely sharpened sports car with exceptional handling and amazing styling. It out handled cars many times its price range in its time and nearly a decade after it was produced. Its engine was a novelty, it caused many problems and gave lackluster performance and reliability. An LS swap is simply giving such a fine chassis the engine it deserved

  • @li7in6 you still dont get it. your wrong. a true rotary guy knows what to do with his rotary. who cares about cheap or reliable. a true beauty FD has a rotary. of course a Ls1 is better. put a ls1 in a 350z is better, in a s2000 is better. the engine is better. ofcourse peopole have problems with rotary on FD, they just throw away the rotary engine because its not piston. lack of knowledge. i hate that.

  • @littleAE86thatcould Who cares about cheap and reliable? How about anyone that works for their money. How about anyone that wants to actually drive their car instead of having to pull the motor when it pops for some stupid reason like a water seal. Those people care about cost and reliability... When you're on your 2nd, 3rd, 4th rotary (like many high performance rotary enthusiasts are) you get tired of pulling motors and want to put something that works, and works well.

  • @littleAE86thatcould If you're a rotary enthusiast then get an RX-3 or a first gen and tinker around with the 12a. There is no point dealing with a novelty engine with a ton of troubles in such a capable car as the 3rd gen when you don't have to and can go to a much more capable engine. I'm a performance enthusiast, I'm an RX-7 enthusiast. I like going fast and I like the car. I don't care for unreliable garbage under the hood of my otherwise capable performance car.

  • @Tazman125 LS series motors are more reliable, more powerful, produce more torque, are more fuel efficient, are capable of making more power and torque than, and are equally as light as the 13b-rew. Please explain to me and validate your claim that the motor is "crap" otherwise you're just another shit talking, know nothing idiot.

  • @versus4582 The suspension is the same and the weight distribution is uneffected with this swap. The difference is it makes more power and much more torque while being much more reliable.

Stop talking about things you know nothing about... PERIOD!!!!

  • Absolutely Amazing

  • @versus4582 ...It's a fucking drag car,DO YOU SEE SLICKS, DO YOU?

Yeah, that's what i heard mothafucka.

    /Jokes

Wake up, it has slicks smartass, of course it will go straight until they put on road tires, just because it has a V8 does't mean, " Omg-it's-going-to-crash-at-the-turn!!!1!!1!"

  • @Tazman125 Excuse me he made it atleast move

  • @versus4582 The only thing that isn't straight is you go buy a mazda

  • @versus4582 weight dist. still 50/50 with the LS V8

  • Man thats a smooth nine second run for a street car. Looks like you've built it very well indeed.

  • @EVLJZ upgrading to an LS3 with a 78mm right now

  • @losganjaless no one that talks shit about rx7's has any clue about the 787, they're all fallacious pro-american idiots who hate what they don't understand

  • I want to make sweet love to this car. I would even cuddle afterwards.

  • bar the silly wheels, its an absolute sleeper.

  • the rotary was fine when put against iron block v8s but has nothing on aluminum v8s

  • rotary= weed wacker torque and rpm's

    ls1= best v8 made

people are swapping lsx engines into just about anything for a reason

  • @slickss85 ls7 > ls1

  • @LbsOfTech Not in terms of performance per dollar. You can build an LS1 to LS7 performance levels for less than half the cost of the LS7. Additionally the LS1 has a higher performance ceiling because its block is not bored to the limit of cylinder wall thickness. Thus the LS7 is at a disadvantage to the LS1 in terms of forced induction performance because of its block integrity.

  • @slickss85 i think you hit the nail on the head...the rotary would make a great weed wacker motor

  • buy some posi traction to fix that

  • @captainmacleish it has it DUMB ASS

  • wonder what size tire he as on

  • You can't beat Hinson. He knows what to do with the rotary engine. :)

  • thats beautiful. love to see nice cars like that going to steele.

    greetings from birmingham :)

  • Welcome to the family!!

  • LS1 FTW!!!!

  • Wow! Good job. Junk rotary would never have held together to do this.

  • Nice run, not a big foreign car fan, but I do love the looks of the RX7. And the fact that it has a 50/50 weight ratio front and back, the car was meant to race. It's obvious that it can be used for both for the drag strip and track.

  • Pretty impressive, i still think its a retarded idea, and your ruining the concept of a car. Wonder how long before the stress points and welded components fall apart.

  • nice run! check out my turbo ls1 powered beast

  • ls1's have no torque

  • Very nice!

No junk rotary in this Rx7

  • this thing is badass dude

  • Smartest thing any RX-7 owner could do. Put a real motor in their cars!

    Awsome ride.

  • for all purposes that's more like a 10sec run.

  • whel 9.9 is mor like 10 seconds :))

  • @Boocho88 Not in Drag racing, when you hit the 9's your in the 9's.

  • Damn and this is naturally aspirated.. wonder what happens when it gets boosted

  • @bmxman242 you are an idiot, it has a front mount and you can hear the turbo...

  • that ls1 is bad ass man SO LONG ROTARY MOTOR

  • yea a fucking turbod ls1 thats fucking sick he makes me wanna shoot him and still his car

  • This is stupid. I hate to see an RX-7 go to waste for several seconds of speed. Twists and turns is what this car was made for.

  • @moondust. What he meant is that the car sounded like it only had 2 gears... Besides, it is automatic. How do you make it take off

    On 2 gear??

  • @Gabrielillo1806 You have to remove the 12v power to the trans due to it will not shift under this amount of power. Kinda tricks the trans to think it has a manual valve body. With the power removed you only have 2nd, 3rd, and reverse.

  • Best of both worlds, light, and strong.

  • This just proves, that Mazda engines are piece of shit.Fuck rotary.Muscle V8 all the way.

  • FYI, this here is my car. Just finished the LS3 upgrade. Should have some better numbers this year, with some more video. Also have plans on upgrading to HINSONSUPERCARS LIVE Axle conversion. Trans brake here I come.

  • The LS3, LS7, and LS9 are the best powerplants yet! They are so underrated and detuned from the factory. With a few mild mods and tuning the LS3 will put out the same as the factory LS7 with ease.

  • @lightbuy3 you're dumb... stop living.

Why would you put an LS in an RX7? That's like asking why would you put syrup on fucking pancakes you asshat,
