leeward slopes under cornices have a nasty reputation for sliding off like that !!! take a avalanche course and they might just save your life !! not trying to be a dick just sayin...
@CabelasOutdoor4x4 its a device that sets off so you can be located....think of it this way, you know if a boat breaks down in the middle of the ocean and can put out distress signals, its like a mini one of them in your jacket/backpack

Huh, well, I'd just like to point out to anyone thinking of attempting a similar move that this was real dumb.
Highmarking = Dumb
Highmarking + Unstable Snowpack = Really Dumb
Highmarking + Instability + Overhanging Cornice + Lee Slope = Retarded, you're basically attempting to trigger a large slide.
