I grew up in Linden,N.J. Back then(1950s-60s),when i was a little kid,a bunch of other kids died from things like leukemia & "unknown-reasons"....it was very sad to have this reality be such a "normal" part of our "every-day-lives". Every morning when i delivered my paper-route the air smelled like rotten-eggs & the smog was thick(like in a horror-movie).As a kid, things that are awful are just taken in stride....to us that was "LIFE".....BUT...as other kids got sick & died, reality hit-hard.
