What if somebody said oh I killed him 20 min ago and you think oh lol call of the dead but then later you turn on the tv and it says he's been murdered would that just make you go WTF?!?! Lol
george is epic in call of the dead but hes so hard to kill my little brother trys to kill thim with the death machin sry i dont know how to spell machin lol
I George; I killed you about a week ago. I got a trophy for it aswell! LMAO! Btw, for you guys that don't know, he's a character in Black Ops: Call of The Dead.
@darkblade2271 I've been a Romeo Fanatic eve since I saw Dawn of the Dead when I was 12. And yes, mean the 1978 version. It's going on ten years, now.
is it neccisary to have that fucking retarded sound track over him talking what is it with production companies people can listen to others talk without music and find them interesting
its good hearing from 1 of my favorite filmmakers EVER...about what his 5 biggest influences are.
He does always mention "Tales of Hoffman" so i want to check it out now.
Seen a couple of the others...but personally NONE of those are as amazing (to me) as "The Dead" series...(havent seen Diary or Survival yet though..im sure they arent as good so i wont count them).
I really respect Romero and he's made some of my all time fav movies, but survival of the dead was pretty bad to be honest, but he's still a really respectable director
These older guys like Romero, Caine, etc, are in a way biased about their favorite movies. They like primarily older movies because it's what they grew up on thus it had a greater impact/influence on them.
I may be biased myself, but I've seen most of the older movies along with a lot of newer-made movies, and personally, I think the GREAT newer-made movies are much better well-crafted and well-made than the older ones.
@cb9603 So you think there is a modern movie that can stand up to Lawrence of Arabia or Treasure of the Sierra Madre? Chinatown? The Maltese Falcon? The Third Man, The Godfather, The Apartment, Goodfellas, Indiana Jones, Citizen Kane? Unless you say Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, or Toy Story, I don't buy it. Don't you fucking dare say the Dark Knight, I will hunt you down and strangle you. Don't mean to be rude actually, let me just say I disagree. And you sound a little biased yourself...
@thecompton01 Ok ok ok, I should clarify something. I DO NOT consider, for example, Pulp Fiction/Goodfellas "old". I grew up on those. Those are actually two of my favorite movies. When I say "older movies" I mean black/white, etc films. Examine those films and then examine "good" films today and tell me which has better storylines, craftyness, technology, etc. Ex, Psycho was an excellent movie of its time, but if made today, the cheap use of thrills and storytelling would be laughable.
@cb9603 Ok that makes sense. I still think Treasure of the Sierra Madre could stand up to any modern movie in terms of direction, storyline, acting, etc. Lawrence of Arabia is 1957, so it's not modern, and if it came out today I think it would bury just about anything in terms of its power/character development and definitely storyline. Many characters today don't have the facets that Lawrence or Antoine Doinel. I think great movies are spread pretty evenly from the 20's til now.
Awww. I LOVE The Quiet Man- that was surprising.
