Mrizoz, or Matt.. I'm just gonna say, you're videos they are good in quality and everything, but my main complaint is that you test AV. When you test AV you don't install malware first and then try to review it, most antiivruses can't remove viruses but are designed to block them, if you want people to like your testing more, don't pre-install malware, donwload it, cause most AV's can only block some threats, not remove. This is why i don't like you're videos. You suck.

anti virus programs are good for preventing viruses but the industry misleads you making you think that they can clean your computer because damage has been done. the best thing to do is to do a clean install with your data backed up.

Did you use a virtual machine or something to experiment with those nasty malware?

To all facing slowness issues:

1. Don't install more than one Firewall or Anti virus package.

2. Check what runs on your system startup. Ideally it should just be your security suite (s). Disable unnecessary programs with msconfig or other startup utilities.

Since i've downloaded this product it's awsome! But whenever i watched a youtube video, my cpu usage goes really high and the vid stops.

Then the cpu went all the way down. And it goes up and down over and over, please, tell me, is this from the product or is it cause of my computer?

This never happened before until i downloaded this product.

It might be the firewall, i had experienced slow performance on my computer, all i did was install another firewall, it might be the product, try removing it's firewall and leave it's antivirus on there and install another one like PCtools Firewall plus, see if it makes a difference, it did for me. hope this helps :)

if you have more than one antivirus (Windows defender counts) or firewall (Windows firewall counts) They will conflict with each other and beat ur computers ass basically lol.

Never ever have more than 2 of a firewall or antivirus going at one time, on demand scanners are fine though like malwarebytes/superantispyware.

Based on what i learned from viewing this video, I removed my previous security package and installed the Internet Security Pro version (paid for) of COMODO. I am so glad I did. I didn't get the parade of pop-ups, but I did find that my computer starts up much more quickly and runs much more smoothly. 2 third-party intrusions were caught in the first couple of minutes, also. I didn't have any removal problems with this product. Thanks.

Kevinsilhouette, I am with you on that. I was a Zone Alarm believer for years, until recently. My internet security suite of that brand started acting up, and would not uninstall without a complete system recovery. I'm finding that BitDefender, F-Secure, PC Tools, Kaspersky, and ESET security suites allow my computer to run reliably without undue intrusion; but the quality reviews on those brands vary greatly, leaving me unsure which to trust. Good old Webroot or Trend Micro, maybe?

How does comodo make money if it's free?

Well basically it logs everywhere you go and everything on your computer (that's all data including anything on external drives) and sends all that info back to comodo. They then set up security for large company websites and companies pay because comodo can tell them exactly who is visiting and what sort of person they are, how long they looked at competitor sites etc - valuable 'customer' info. It's essentially spyware without the popups.

Read the terms and conditions and privacy statements. Is that really that hard? It's all in there, but no one bothers to read.

The real value is your usage information, where you go, what you download, how long you spent on youtube/google etc. For example, Ford will pay to advertise on ebay if they know for sure that most mustang buyers regularly use that site, comodo can supply that information.

They can't attach your name to the data collected, unless you commit a crime, then they will.

I love free programs and truely open source stuff. But then comodo isn't open source and often they won't tell the community forums why the antivirus is doing suspicious things.

I run Comodo, but I'm under no illusions. It is a company set up to make money just like any other company. It just has a clever way of doing that. To think that it's just a nice gesture and they host the downloads and updates for free out of pure kindness is more than a little nieve.

Uhh...I made a file with all my username's and passwords's for websites and told COMODO firewall defense+ that the file is blocked (for security reasons, so hackers don't steal it!) and I just opened up comodo and got this: 199 suspicious attacks blocked. All attack were: explorer.exe trying to access the password.txt file. WOW! Oh and its blocked hyper cam when it trys to see if my activation code is real or not..LMAO!

I agree with you but there are lots of AV program who can not be run simultaneously or they will slow the PC down little too much. I tried using AVAST Pro. and AVG but it didn't work for me. Right now I am using G-Data which has two AV engine running at the same time. I haven't done any virus check on that but we will see.
