should be easy.. used to get in much tighter spots than that. you can clearly see its a straight in shot then hook to the left a bit. what's so hard about this?
you damn right it can be done with skills. lol guess i aint got dat far along yet, o well yall boys back yall doubles and what ever ill keep doin a 53 or 57 and call myself da shit even though ima be real i know its alot of yall that can do it better.
It most certainly CAN be done. Ive seen a driver back a B-train set around a corner and ive seen a CONWAY hit a dock with out splitting the set. both had been doing it for a LONG time, but it can be done
Yes, it can. If you have adequate skills and experience, it certainly can be done. My uncle managed a lumber yard a couple decades ago, and they had a few old-timers who routinely backed doubles several hundred yards around piles and stacks. I can do it myself, though not nearly with that level of skill. Just takes practice, mainly, and some level of inherent talent that simply cannot be taught. (something big outfits need to learn)
you honestly think thats worth 5/5? LOL thats only worth 0.1/5, hes only in a single and hes still gotta creep forward 4 or 5 times to get it in there....hate to see him in a double....
wth are u talking about saying all trucks have 10 speeds?? why answer if you dont know wth your talking about and fill peeps full of b.s.?? there are transmissions ranging from 9-18 speeds. More i'm sure than that. Some are automatic (ugh imo.) 18's are best by far, also yes its a manual but the tranny ain't synchronized like 4 wheel truck/cars so u hafta have the rpm's/speed at the right spot to go into any respective gear. Seasoned drivers dont use the clutch except for starting in first/rev.
I just finished my second week of driving on the range at truck driving school. I feel the parallel parking and alley maneuver is harder. I can now do this. I learned left turn is a trucker friend and right turn is danger. Lastly, someone at the school asked me what happens when a Swift truck leaves a truck stop. When I told them, What, they replied 3 parking spots open up. LOL. Lastly, I have heard very positive things about Swift Company. Great video.
I'm not sure where you get those notions...I guess it's just going along with all the crap you hear and not paying attention to facts or thinking for yourself. Anyway...
All 18 wheelers has the 10 speed manuel, you have to learn how to drive stick, cluch before you can drive a truck, all trucks including swift has manuel trans
Not today, but I have had to do it before. One day I had to get my load reworked three times, and had to do it each time. I was not in a good mood that day, but that's a long story.

HA!
I get weary whenever i get near a Swift Driver, too.
It's like: Would you rather be behind him (to run over the parts falling off)? or ahead of him (so his failed brakes/sleeping) can stop him?
I will not convoy with a Swift Driver.

HA!
I've been on plenty of docks and have heard many driver's stories about the Swifties.
One guy even showed me a video while he was trying to call the Swift driver on CB....and bam! Right through a corn field.
I hear that your dispatchers run you to the limit and don't care one way or the other.

@heatseeker213 HAHAHA i heard swift drivers cant back and england drivers take really long

I am in truck driving school and on the 2nd day on the range. I could do this if I had 50 hours time. LOL. I guess that would take a week.

they ought to make the shippers and receivers do it.
trikmitruk 3 years ago
They should make the architect that designed the parking lot do it.

No doubt in my mind,on that.
