I think the guitar stuff in Arch Enemy smashes the shit out of this stuff however I like the vocals in the agonist better because I like the mix of clean and harsh vocals. Guitar parts are more important to me however so if I had to choose one I would go with Arch Enemy.

as a guitar player the guitar in this band is much more difficult than arch enemy songs, riff wise and structure wise....but i love arch enemy cause there songs are catchy and the solos are badass...but i love this band because the riffs and structure in the agonist atleast on the new album are much more intricate IMO

@danpluso well there is catchy and catchy to the point were it can be boring sometime, i just find music more interesting when i hear something completely new or anything that throws my ears of at first that still is cool and catchy, with arch enemy while cool i feel like i can tell whats going to happen before it happens, but hey man its all preference, i just find this band more interesting thats all

@rockon3691 as a guitar player, I say The Agonist's song are easier to play for 2 very simple reasons: 1- their riffs are quite easy, mainly on their first album (sometimes just bare power chords from both guitars). They don't have as many harmonies or guitar duets 2 - 98% of arch enemy's songs have guitar solos, and most have them have two solos played by either guitarist. The Agonist has like 30% or 40% if as much.
