  • I admire your skill with you hands. Ive always struggled with not "freaking out" on aerial shot any advice on how to improve?

  • @Mouselovr At training get someone to stand at the penalty spot whilst you stand on the goal line. Put on your equipment but leave your gloves off. Get the person to toss hockey balls to one corner to the other. Make sure you turn your body bringing your other arm across to the other side and balanced on your feet. Then progress to gloves + stick. Also try juggling the ball with your gk stick with your gloves on. Builds up your hand eye coordination.

  • I played all my life at Club Egara (terrassa, spain) as a goalkeeper, but i had to leave it for my studies... And man, i miss to play very very much, just after i finish my carreer i will play again!

  • i think that American en English goalkeepers really can learn something out Dutch goalkeeping, really. you should look at video of ''Martijn Drijver'' that is te best way to goal-keep in my eyes. it more effective than your may of goalying.

it is not perfect but it is out that you need to stay calm untill you have to save the ball, en dan you can be energetic, so no hopping around) *advice

  • it's okay . there arent much good saves. not because your a bad goalie, but there arent any good shots.

    6:52 its a ridiculous try

7:33 its the best, even if its a goal

i would have made a video with special goalie excersies so you could see your false and skills better.

  • Watching you like wow. Its really good! I play field hockey and I'm goalie too. My first year I did pretty good for what I did lol. I love it!(:

  • Really there isn't much you do wrong! from what I can see in this video, you defiantly are a solid keeper in the net. If I had to give feedback it would be that you seem to be bouncing around before a shot, Nothing wrong with having energy but I've always been told and found, being relaxed and set in position helps your body prepare for a shot, allows the sub concision to take over. Also try to follow through with every save. Probably pointless saying all of this, Your prob 10x better now :P

  • Good keeper however follow through your kicks and stay uprights so you get the most power out of your kicks, however a few good saves also how do Log diving to your left?

  • @WeeDuckiee I'm not sure what you mean by "log diving". You mean logging on penalty corners? Diving to the left? Or reverse slide tackling? I'm not too great on diving in general (not the most acrobatic keeper you'll find). I haven't found the confidence to dive as I have a bit of a weak shoulder from past injuries hence why I land on my belly when diving instead of on my side.

thank you for your comments. much appreciated. :)

  • compared to real hockey goal tending , this is a joke.

  • @iUseDMR Compared to real people, you're a joke.

  • keeper your body upright whilst smothering to allow a bigger saving area and keep your left hand in the are inface the ball is deflected or lifted. try not to cross kick, let the ball coem across your body and kick with the correct side foot.

  • kick through the ball instead of 'stunning' the ball. dont bounce when setting for a save, hands higher up and out of the way from body with front saving area of pad facing the play. follow through the ball when saving it with a wide leg guard save by pushing the back leg through to keep the momentum to allow a smooth follow through and a strong secondary save base. when smothering remember three points for smothering in the correct technique: ankle down first, knee down first, hip down last,

  • @tomandtomandtom thank you for your suggestions. kicking through the ball has been something i've been working on since the video. really appreciate the tips and thank you for giving up some time to watch my video.
