It's an adventure - adventures can't be scary no matter what, cause you always stand back relaxed knowing that your character won't die, you won't have to fight and you can't screw in any way - the worst that can happen to you in an adventure is getting stuck.

I do not agree that adventure games cant be scary. Believe me Ive played most of them cause horror games are my favorite, so it takes allot to scare me. But there are games that can surprise me. Like Fatal Frame series, Silent Hill series, Ju-On Wii, SAW PC, Forbidden Siren PS2... Those are just a few games that will definitely give you the chills. Point and click horror adventure games are a different story. But try playing Exmortis for the first time and say it didn't freak you out.

I was trying to say that theres a good scary adventure game on every console not only on the PC.

I personally dont own a wii but i watched a few ju-on gameplay videos and it seemed like a decent game. Again im not comparing the games, its obvious that a wii game cant compare to a ps3, xbox or a pc game but ju-on is probably the best horror adventure game for that console. Plus im a big fan of the movie :)

@CroProGamer the best from wii is fatal frame IV followed by resident evil arquives. I have a wii m8 and I can say that ju-on sucks, man. It looked decent from videos but when I bought it ... total waste. It's scary for kids yes... but only that.

Penumbra was not too scary - at least not in the way most people perceive "scarry". if they took out the heavy puzzle solving and the needed talking, it would be. That's what they did with Amnesia - that game is crap your pants scary. same company that made the penumbra series, they just finally got it right

Just because your character can die or not in a game doesn,t make it a scary game, You can die in games like sonic the hedgehog, and tomb raider, and they aren,t scary games at all. Yes you can die in Silent Hill, but the fact that you can die isn,t the rreason the game is scary. Yes some action horror games are more intense than adventure horror, but I find tension and atmosphere more unnerving than games like silent hill, Edgar Allen poe the Raven (darkness there and nothing more)

@kozas0 That's not true. There are adventure games you can die in. Dracula The Last Sanctuary, it was possible to be killed by monsters, if you did not interact quick enough. Plus, most horror adventure games, pull off jump scares, like Scratches, or have a moody atmosphere.

@CroProGamer The games graphics are pretty good too.Scary movies usually envolve scary sound efects depending of the surroundings,and some partes that actually surprises you like appear and disappear of characters or in this case the dog.

I respect freedom of speech and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but i really dont understand why would someone find a game they know its not the type they normally play and say that its stupid. I didn't say that it's shit. I just said that I find this type of games boring to ME because they are all but clicking with the mouse, other people may perhaps have this type on the top of their list. And I just saw the name "Dracula" on the Internet so I thought that it's an action game judging on it's title, so I came to YouTube to see it's gameplay. Gotta love the detail in this game. There is even grafitty by the Guard of Steel (which was an organization who killed politicians and things like that so they could be first. They were even one of the causes Romania was nazi in WW2). Great game I must say.

Dracula: Origin is from Frogwares. Dracula: Resurrection is also for PC, and first in trilogy. Dracula: Last Sanctuary is for PC too and second in trilogy. This game, Path of the Dragon, is the third Microids game in their Dracula trilogy.

If you like this kind of games where you pick up objects, solve problems and various puzzles then you will like this game. Especially if you already played Dracula 1&2 or Dracula origin. Its pretty hard so its not for everyone. But the more you play it the more you get in the story.
