I think the lack of experience argument was used a lot against Carter who I think had only been in Georgia politics. Ironically Bush's son really couldn't use the experience argument against Gore.

Bush had some fire in the belly at times. Don't know where it went after 1988 though.

@wftjet I think they take every president in a room the 1st day they are in the white house and show them the real books, the real threats. This is why they all change after they get in lol.
