  • cool shit man

  • Not fucking bad! It's pwoper damn good! =0)

  • hey man, is there a way that i can connect my digitech rp355 with a midi cable and edit the effect with the built in Whammy Octave Up-Dn, so it will be like an Automatic-Whammy Preset, and i dont have to move the expression pedal?, or... this is just with the Whammy 4 and a computer edition?

  • @HearbrokenPianist Yes that is possible. You only need to find the midi numbers that turn on the whammy up, whammy down and bypass ;)

  • why is it so complicated to get the effects right to play this song :(

  • @Dvermoet It isn't. You only need to have a Digitech Whammy 4 and a Midi USB Cable (like the M-audio Uno). The rest I can provide; Cubase software to PC and the Cubase file with the midi sequence to control the Whammy 4 :)

  • @aorfix how much does a digitech whammy cost? and a midi usb cable? cause this sounds amazing :D

  • @Dvermoet You can buy a new whammy for 198 euros. Search at musicstore.de and thomann.de. You can also buy the new Whammy DT for 279 but i'm not sure that my file will work with that new whammy. The M-Audio Uno Midi/USB cable costs 41 euros in thomann. Try to visit some guitar shops in your country, maybe you'll find better prices :) My Cubase file to play Map of the Problematique is 50 euros... Just kidding, is free =D

  • @aorfix yea i found the whammy for 198 at musicstore :) maybe i'm going to buy it when i get there cause im planning to go to that store with my friend :) i don't live to far away (holland :D) as for the cable i'm going to visit some music stores for that :) haha when i have all this stuff i will contact you! thank you so much for the help :D suddenly it sounds alot easier :)

  • @Dvermoet Nice man :) I'll be waiting for your contact ;)

  • Dude this sounds just like the original! Tabs for this would be awesome! Por favor :D

  • if you have the tab could you please send them to my inbox? i need to play this song for my performing arts night and this looks perfectly how to play it!!!

  • I wish my digitech rp200 could do this :c I want to get the normal digi whammy sometime :D

  • This is fing bad ass bro can I have the file and instructions you sent that other guy on how to do this? I don't have the whammy so is it at all possible? Thanks!

  • @cizzlen07 File sent to you ;) This Cubase file is only for the Digitech Whammy 4 pedal. You can recreat the effect using guitar Rig 3 too.

  • Holly Shit!

  • @Musefanable Obrigado :)

  • chupate una pija filho da puta

  • Nice i love your cover awesome !!!

  • Can you send me the file to my inbox please : )

  • Is this standard tuning as well?

  • @FA7 Nop, Drop C

  • Are there any programs that i can use use to get this effect, like Cubase but preferably free, because i have a digitech whammy 4 but i don't have alot of money to be wastin if u know what i mean

  • @coopmister00 I think Cubase is the easiest way to do it ;) File sent to your youtube inbox and Cubase instructions too :) Don't forget that you need the Digitech Whammy 4 and a USB/Midi cable like the M-Audio Uno USB/Midi. Cheers

  • @aorfix thank you very much! :)

  • i have to say, this is the best, and most accurate cover i've heard :)

  • I just got the digitech whammy and just installed Cubase...I got the file from someone who got it from you....but for some reason i can't get it to work!. I select 2 record bars (seen on some other video), and then press the record button and start playing....all i hear is my own distortion..but i don't hear the MOTP effect. Any idea what i forgot to set in Cubase? (yes its connected with midi to usb)

  • @Soort19 in the midi track (green and red tracks), you need to select your midi cable.

  • @aorfix Thats the weird thing, i actually got that selected.

The midi cable i have is some double kind of thing. It has a: midi in,midi out, and a usb. So i plug the 'midi in' part of the cable into the whammy (i actually also tried the midi out for the heck of it) and the USB into the computer.

The external sound card i use is my line6 Pod UX1.

  • @Soort19 Go to the last pages of you Whammy manual, look for MIDI activation or something, just do what it says. It was the reason why I couldn't get it working. I hope this helped.

  • @Iwantamansonguitar Yeah i guess you mean the bit where you select your midi channel. well i did that long before you answered to my question (thanks btw), but that doesn't seem to work, its kinda odd.

As far as i know, i don't have to change any settings in Cubase, even in the created midi itself. So everything should be fine.

If i count the times i hit my head against the wall while trying to figure this out. I'm suprised i'm not dead or retarted yet.

  • @Soort19 You probably have done this, but just in case: put your whammy pedal in toe position! :p

Maybe try to fiddle out more with Device setup -> MIDI

  • @Iwantamansonguitar I guess that means treadle(thats what it's called right? lol) all the way down, yes i already did that. and i've been messing around in all setups i can find in there XD.

    I'm totally lost :(

  • @Soort19 Trust me, I've been there too, I was close to giving up... but don't give up, there is a way! If you keep looking for it, you will find it! :D

  • @Iwantamansonguitar Just wanted to say it finally worked!. Apparently 1 of my USB ports was half broken (It works and doesn't work...lol, a mouse would work but stuff like this and a device that sends stuff like a external harddrive doesn't)

And i figured out i need to use the Midi Out cable instead of the Midi in lol...(so unclear >.<)

And i <3 this thing even more than i did already now :D

  • does any1 know of any vst plugins that could do this? i dont have any money so i was hopin there is but every pitch shifter i find on here isnt what im lookin for.

  • where did you get the white 72 telecaster

  • @TheApocalypsePlease Two of these came to Portugal ;) Limited Edition

  • @TheApocalypsePlease Have a pro build one

  • verry good sound and performed !!!

How you make this effect ?

Can you send me the midi file if you use cubase please .

You are verry verry good it`s a amazing cover !!!

  • @lindinck File sent to you ;) You need to have the Digitech Whammy 4, then Cubase will controll the effects of Digitech by changing them in a sequenced order, +1 octave, -1 octave and off. Let me know if it works with you :)

  • Check my full cover of map of the problematique, with guitar and bass...

    Cheers!

  • @guibr18 Nice sound mate :) Cheers

  • This is awesome dude. Ive been having trouble reproducing the effect with my sequencer and its not doing so well would it be alright if you sent me the file as well.

I would love to see more covers

    XD

  • Amazing!!

it would sound so amazing live...

surely the best map of the problematiqué cover!

can you send me the midi track of the whammy or the file you used?

i was using the the guitar rig3 to do the effect, but it's not the best choice since i can't sync it with my software(logic pro) and use the click or just sync with the song...

    Thanks a lot!

    Cheers!

  • @guibr18 Thank you very much for your comment :) The Cubase file was sent to your youtube account ;)

  • Thanks for explaining how you did this so many times we all really appreciate it. I think I'm going to buy a digitech whammy just so I can play this. Can you download cubase or do you have to buy it. I'd really appreciate you sending me the file robarge00@yahoo.com

  • @robarge00 I'll send you a message to your youtube account ;)

  • @robarge00 use it for other muse stuff too!

  • You save the patch on the PC? so you always gonna need a PC to play this song? Help me im noob !!!

  • @Zylandia Yes you'll need a PC with the program Cubase, that will control the Digitech Whammy 4 by changing the settings to +1 octave, -1 octave and off. Thats how I play it ;)

  • i have the digi whammy 4 and just wondering what do you switch the knob to for the effect

  • @TheApocalypsePlease You need to plug your Digitech to the PC with a USB/Midi cable, then Cubase controls your Digitech by switching alternately the effects to +1 oct, -1 oct and off in the correct sequence.

  • awesome ! :)

  • @aiwa54 Zoom G9.2 tt for fuzz "distortion", and Digitech Whammy 4 to make that crazy effect ;)

  • @aiwa54 Zoom G9.2 tt for fuzz "distortion", and Digitech Whammy 4 to make that crazy effect ;)

  • 5/5

    Amazing man ^^

Can you put the chords??? plz

  • @haderic430355 search for the Map of the Problematique cover of the user faremonkeylover, he has put the chords on is video ;)

  • @aorfix thx ^^!

  • Excellent cover. Is there any way to do it without a digitech whammy?

  • @nealmac1978 You can use guitar rig 3

  • @aorfix Any other way? I can get it working fine with GR, but I want to be able to do it live, without the need of a laptop. Do I need to buy some sort of sequencer?

  • Ok obrigado!

  • bom cover!

  • fair enough in some places you can hear it

  • No offence but your hand moved well after the chord changed :/ so i dont beleive u did it!

  • My hand stayed in the same fret, my fingers have changed to make another chord

  • i was wonderin why its just the originall track with you playin with no sound

It looks like your doin the right notes but how do i know what your effects and sound is like, only 2* mate for looking like your hittting the right notes

  • Well... I've erased the guitar intro on the original song by Muse, so you can ear my intro distortion midi sequenced, and you ear it in the rest of the song =P Cheers

  • FUZZ FACTORY??

  • @Egollass It's Fuzz but is from my zoom g9.2tt ;) Fuzz Factory works too but i haven't find the right settings

  • dude i just don't get it...! it's so fucking.. hard.. to hear you out...! why would you upload that ? :S i mean....at least lower... the volume...of the original song.... or for better results play the original song... from.... somewhere else... and surely not from somewhere close to your pc or.. mic... ;) i just don't get how you god 5 stars.... with something... that you cannot be heard...! that's all...! i am not mean... but.. i think... you should...do it again...and reupload it! that's all

  • god=got

  • I've recorded it from the usb output of my zoom g9.2 tt, so I''ve not used any microphones ;). I removed the guitar intro from the original song using adobe audition 3, so the guitar you're listening in the intro is mine ;) In the rest of the song you can ear my guitar, because in the original song you can't ear many guitars, i think it's a sinth that matt uses

    *English* that sounds great!,

I wonder if you can still share the file you made in Cubase 4.

  • THIS IS VERY GOOD. Nice job, man. Clavia G2 Engine Sucks! If you've Cubase you're in right!

  • Yes i use Cubase ;)

  • could u please tell me the tabs wat u are playing

  • beautiful!

i sent a message to you, please check it :)

  • yh but ur musics too loud nd its hard to hear yu playin :/ (N)

  • @123123Markie like the real thing then ;)

    Cumprimentos!

  • Lool Obrigado man :)

  • this is my altime favourite muse song. and mate, you dont disapoint. EPIC!!!!

  • This is a fantastic cover, I'm going to be honest you can't find many people on YouTube who can re-create the sound and this sounds absolutely perfect :) Put some more covers up, you are one SICK guitarist :)

  • m8, 2 comments below you, there is jasonyounMUSE. now listen to him. seriously. hes AMAZIN

  • Haha you don't think I've ever listened to Jason... I've been listening to him since last Summer he is also an amazing guitarist and I love his guitar :D Freaking awesome material from him

  • This is a sick cover mate!

  • I AM LITERALLY CRYING WATCHING THIS VIDEO. YOU ARE MY GOD. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Jason.

  • great cover, what tab did you used? cuz besides the sounds(incredible) you seem to have the right tab, and i can't find a good one.

  • Search for faremonkeylover on youtube, see is map of the problematic cover. I use those tabs ;)

  • hey absolutely amazing! i have the zoom g9.2tt, the digitech whammy pedal and the cubase too! I want to know what do I have to do. It's just the midi cable?

  • Midi/Usb Cable, Cubase, and the file that I've made to cubase control the digitech whammy 4 ;)

  • Yeah thanks, but how do I create the file? I mean, how do I make the file you made?

    Thanks!

  • You can start working out in Cubase, or i can send you the file that I've made ;)

  • hey! I've just bought the cable midi-usb, but I don't know how to control the pedal :( please help me! can you give me a mini tutorial please?

  • I will send you a tutorial to make the file in Cubase, and the file that I've made :) Now you only need Cubase

  • Hey!!!!!!!! sorry for the delay, I was on holiday! I'm just downloading everything you said me, I'll tell when it finishes. Thanks so much for your time, muito obrigado!!!

  • OMFG thats epic... I've been playing it with pitch shifters assigned to step sequencers in guitar rig,

but your cover is just too awesome.

*bows down to your cool guitar-ness.*

  • dude, what's ur email? :) pls send me that file!

  • This deserves more views.. . congrats guy! Great clip.

  • omg i didnt think it was real when i heard the first notes! AMAZING!!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THE BEST FROM THE BEST, dia 29 lá estamos... grande abraço

  • boas!

parabéns, recriaste muito bem o efeito, força aí! 29/nov lá estaremos.

  • Awesome cover! 5 stars. However I dont think the effect is 100% alike, Is the "green spots" always at the same spot?

  • Yes the effect isn't 100% correct. No, the green spots aren't allways at the same spot ;)

  • This is far by the best recreation of MOP on youtube. Dude ur Awesome.

  • Thanks :D I really appreciate it.

  • You deserve way more views on this video!

  • Is there anyway you can get this effect just by using the zoom g9.2tt? I've had it for about 2 weeks and I can't figure out how to get this effect.

  • No man, you cant recreat this effect 100% correctly just by using the Zoom g9.2tt. There is an effect that I've used before purchased the Digitech Whammy, that is called Step. You can find it in the MOD/EFX2 module. If you buy the Digitech Whammy 4 and a Midi/USB cable, you can recreate perfectly the effect :)

The effect is basicly sequences of up/down octaves. Example off/down/off/up/off/up.. You just need the Digitech Whammy 4, Midi/USB cable, Cubase, and the Zoom g9.2 tt for the distortion

  • Yeah, I found step on efx2 but I noticed that it needs something different. The thing that sucks is that I bought my Zoom on ebay and the person who I bought it from did not have the copy of cubase. Thanks.

  • My zoom came with cubase LE, but I've downloaded Cubase 4 ;)

  • Where did you download it from, and does it cost much?

    Also, amazing cover!

  • Amazing, great :) 5/5 :)

  • Spot on man. I'd say the most perfect recreation of the sound I've heard online. Good work. Now to get myself a whammy.
