@artgonewrong First, if you've got it so rough, maybe you should just cancel your cable. Plenty of us do just fine without. By your logic they should stop making Porsches since you can't afford one. Just because it's not in your budget doesn't mean it wouldn't be well worth it to someone who has it within their means. Also, don't know why you're taking it out on Andy. These aren't guitars he's bought and is reselling. He's selling them for his employer. He doesn't own the place.

I wouldn't' spend $4K on a pink strat either but I know plenty of Strat lovers who will be happy to. That's what's great about this country. I love your endless victim mentality . If you watch and enjoy our pedal, guitar, and amp demos (for free!) then you have the people who buy these fine guitars to thank. Those profits keep the wheels on the bus at PGS! And seriously, if your cable bill is that hard to keep up with, just cancel it. Read a book, go outside, play guitar, save some money.. : )

@artgonewrong - If you're having problems with your basic bills, then you shouldn't be shopping for guitars anyway. PGS does seem to have rather reasonable prices and I don't think they are out of line here at all.

The economy isn't good, but some of us are doing ok.

@TheMusiciansFriend it's a 2 tone burst Tele indeed. what you see as red is just the brown fading into the "orange" of the center of the body, so it gives a hint of having a little red there, when there's not.

@ProGuitarShopDemos It's a crime to sell guitars for that price. They are not worth it. Just wood and wire, like all guitars in the world. They are just selling a name. The greatest guitarists made their way with guitars less than half the price of these ones. And the people that can afford them and buy them, they are not so bright, one thing is to have the money and another is to throw it away, its like a spit in the face of the third world.

@UlisesBerrueco Whether something is "worth it" or not is purely opinion, and frankly we could care less about your ignorant rant. The one thing it is NOT is "a crime" . What IS a crime is what the Chinese sweatshops are doing - so keep buying their knock-offs instead of USA craftsmanship.  $3-4K is not that big a deal for a working musician, if that's what you want. If it's not what you want - buy something else. Fender has USA-built guitars starting well under $1000, so does Gibson.

@moucon I agree, with an American Standard tele or strat would be enough. The price is right or even reissues. There's something wrong with the economy the moment a guitar is valued in $4,000 and there are stupid people that buy them. I agree with what you say about China and its the same thing only on the other side, they also can't cost that little money, both things are wrong.

@ProGuitarShopDemos The ignorance here is astounding. Gibson sells plenty of their $8k Les Paul reissues...custom luthiers sell plenty of 5-figure and up custom instruments. Good players demand pro-quality instruments, period. I wish the energy dissing these prices could be applied to stop the flood of $200 Chinese knock-offs that are ruining the environment, enslaving human beings at $1/hr, employing children, and stealing US jobs.  THAT is something to protest - and take action against.

@ProGuitarShopDemos - I got to agree here. These prices are not outrageous. These are master built instruments. Expect to pay more for something out of the custom shop given the level of detail and effort spent per guitar. For the most part Fender's prices for the American standard and non-American standards have remained pretty even with inflation over the past 20 years. In 1989 an American standard was around $700...thats about $1200 in todays dollars. Pretty close...so no complaining.
