The Cobra is poisonous where as the Python's method of attack is constricting. I too was a bit surprised that the Cobra won but if you think about it, it makes sense. The Python uses his energy to constrict making himself tired & more prone to the Cobra's venom.

I've been reading over the posts, and have learned a lot of you don't know much about herpatoloy or the King Cobra. The King Cobra eats other snakes, and it's poison kills and rapidly digests its prey. So even though the python has coiled the cobra, it will be dead before the cobra suffocates. Looks like the cobra will be well fed for a while.

Why are people saying the python won? Just watch from the beginning and see that the one with the black lines and more color variation is wrapping/constricting (ergo, python) around the solid yellow snake (which must be the cobra). Later, when the venom has taken its course, the python dies and the solid yellow snake (cobra) emerges victorious. It's not that difficult.
