The Confederacy’s founders announced in the "Cornerstone Speech" (Google it) that they had created a republic whose “cornerstone” was the principle that “slavery, subordination to the superior race,” was the “natural and moral condition” of black Americans. Any honor given to the Confederacy makes a mockery to what the USA stands for, an insult to the Union and a slap on the face of freedom.

Much like the Nazi flag, the Confederacy flag is an insult to Americans and our tax dollars should not be wasted giving reverence to the “LOSERS” of the Civil War, the Confederate heritage, their flag and history. The Confederacy lost. Why do Republicans honor those who stood for everything that is Un-American? It is an insult to honor those who killed many Americans in an effort to oppose equality and keep other people as slaves.
