  • @davettalashley True, true. The big coffee cans work great too. I keep "breakdown" kit in my truck (camping gear, food, first aid, etc.) and the small can fits in perfectly. It's the perfect size for a US issue mess kit, and those are great for heating up your basic canned goods. The big cans are cool though. Fire it up! :)

  • nice..but do you really need the holes around the bottom since you have that big wood feed opening?

  • @kileydogg We tried that before and when the opening gets jammed up it seems to starve it of oxygen. The holes really do seem to help. Once the wood burns down the single hole would work, I suppose.

  • Thanks bro. and I commend u on teaching your kids!!! Flame On Bro....

  • Awesome video! Can't wait to make one for camping as well as emergencies! Thx for sharing. I think this is something I can do!

  • @auntmeme902 Super easy to make, and it's pretty fun to fire up. The kids like it. What's nice is that you've pretty much always got a fuel source; just twigs and small pieces of wood. Fire it up and it's ready to go. It's an easy way to cook without having to fight with your primary heat source (fire pit).
