Yes you can ,just need to change out the esc to a 50amp and you will be amazed at the power it has you will not use a 3 cell again. You get about 5 to 6 min flight time .

@MrTeslaguy yes there is, i just recieved mine. on the rtf you need to remove this plastic casing cover the esc and wires going to the motor. after that you need to disconnect the wires and that opens up the compartment where the ducted fan is located. as far as taking the whole ducted fan unit out, i dont know how to do that.

Hmm, I've took my sweet time and tried to make out the actual speed of most EDF RCs... I say about 10 MPH - 15 MPH (64mm or less)... I don't really care for the speed though, it's amazing how well they operate in California's weather condition... Freak, I live in CA and the weather is O.O If the EDF do fly faster, please tell me!!! I want to know the actual real speed...

You can fit some pretty big batteries in there if you just do a little cutting of some foam. You just will have to add some tail weight to keep an appropriate cg.

I fly on 4s 2200 mah batteries and the jet is fast!

@nitroplanes I agree ,a week ago I responded to and rated the F18 stating i changed out the ESC to 50 amp and use a 2200 4s b-pack 25c and this baby was haulin. wind gauge I had showed 18 to 20 mhp winds and this plane handled awesome. It is true the f18 can handle the winds. I was not misinformed.Keep up the good work Nitro. By the way put the 10th flight on this baby ,10 to 15 mph winds.

Ant goof can see the wind sock blowing in the back. It's standing at about 10mph I'm both a full scale and Rc Pilot. I buy from Banana Hobby and Nitroplanes and they don't hype up there stuff. These jets are for experienced pilots. I own 3

i have the art-tech f-18 blue angles it is the best flying foam jet i have and i only have one.for me after 6 month's it look's 2 year's old they dent to easy you will put hand prints in them just buy picking them up, some may like them but they are not for me balsa is best.if it were me i would buy a good balsa or fiberglass jet you will not feel like you got robbed.

It's not a flag! It's called a wind sock and it indicates about 9 knts. I fly both full scale and RC and Have a wind sock outside my door at Alturas airport!

Great. I like you guys using stock components, being honest too unlike that Bananahobby guy using his own radio even if some stock RTF planes come with 2.4g radio. Also you will see no stupid phrases like "Cobra Manover Available" or "vector trusting" with these guys.

The kit should come with the special servo arm for the front landing gear. Local stores will not have this special are. Check video, pause and see this special arm..

Ohh one more thing.. Epoxy the floor base of where the battery would lay. After muiltiple access, it will start failing. Putting Slots on the larger missiles' fins( or holding bracket) reduces the air drag significantly. Epoxy the 2 fins (little vertical stabs near the 2 air-holes on the top-side fuselage. Ohh and poke out those little air-holes too (the water decal is covering them) check out the video to see them).

Hobbypartz's 4-cell 1500mah fits perfectly & 1300mah has some room to play. Mounting the fuel tanker straight center between the air-intakes looks/works well. Epoxy the end missiles helps with hard landings. Electric black tape on the underside of the exhausts protects from scaping. "Great stuff" foam within the nose cone protects it from hard landing scapes. Epoxy the edges of the canopy's fragile foam area, fuselage edges & tips of the vertical stabs too. I will upload pics. Hey Tony, how are you keeping the batter realatively in place. There is some room for the batter to bounce in the front. Did you put foam? does it effect the CG much?
