  • "You can have faith that life arose out of nothing" Yes you can, if you read the Bible.

  • Did I just take a stroll through the shire?

  • Claire, I am so glad I came across your channel. I look forward to your new vids and am going to backtrack and watch all your older ones in order.

Thank you for the effort you and the Fat Assed Cats put into these timely, informative and highly entertaining videos.

  • It was a very good show :)

  • WTF IS WRONG WITH VENOMFANGX ???

  • @zecle I'm not a psychiatrist, so anything I suggest would be idle speculation.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 I think he's nothing more than a run of the mill sociopath.

  • @zecle I think I heard his parents say he has Asperger's syndrome.

  • @BigDwarren therefore he should have been infinitely more intelligent than that...

  • @zecle "Intense preoccupation with a narrow subject, one-sided verbosity, restricted prosody", explains it all. He is smart, just about a stupid subject. He can not see the other side because of his disorder.

  • @BigDwarren i remember this obsessive behavior on one of my asperger friends. she is not totally "normal" yet.

now i understand what you mean. it makes sense indeed.

  • @zecle My studies of the disorder has some funny outcomes for the inflicted. A large majority of them fall head first into religion. Maybe someone in the past had this disorder and started out all the religious fairy tales.

  • Asperger syndrome is distinguished by a pattern of symptoms. It is characterized by qualitative impairment in social interaction, by stereotyped and restricted patterns of behavior, activities and interests, and by no clinically significant delay in cognitive development or general delay in language. "Intense preoccupation with a narrow subject, one-sided verbosity, restricted prosody, and physical clumsiness are typical of the condition, but are not required for diagnosis".

  • Whenever you say "youtubers" my imagination cannot help throwing out an image of potatoes shaped like the heads of my favourite YouTube people

  • Thanks Claire! I always look forward to your vids

  • 6:55 Yeah, well, I kinda have a problem with stoning people for picking sticks on Saturday.

  • Subed, liked and faved. Thanks

  • I made a reply video but I called you "RHYMEMAIDEN1" twice. Oops!. Time warp!

  • @Desertphile Just call me Claire. :)

  • VFX says atheists are "evil" for denying his undetectable genocidal god. This from a 26-year-old still living off his rich daddy, and who literally stole some $4500 in funding from dying children (and never owned up to his theft).

    Priceless.

  • I watched somewhere here in youtube, the topic is about the devil.I forgot the title at this time.

that the original genesis, adam & the first woman named Lilith were both made from dirt, she rejected Adam. So YHWH have to create another woman from Adam's rib and it became Eve, the second woman YHWH created.

Now Adam & Eve were kicked out of Eden, but since Lilith didn't eat the forbidden fruit. So she is still immortal. Interesting part that should have been included in the bible.

  • I'm always amazed that creatards can't see the dichotomy between claiming life can't come from non-life, but believe that a supernatural being came from errr....nothing, and with the power of though, created the universe from er....nothing. Though for some strange reason he had to use some dirt to create Adam, and a rim from Adam's body to create Eve.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 "I'm a fan of Uncle 'Arry..."

    Good on yer girl!

    Come on you Spurs!!!

  • I lolled at 6:06.

  • Another wonderful coffee break. But I can prove organic life CAN come from inorganic life. I read it in a book.

  • I will enjoy tracking down William Smith. Fascinating. Thank-you.

Its only in my August yeast that I have returned to believe that there are interesting readings in Geology. I disdained it as not fundamental when at university [as the boneheads could use earth sciences to fulfill science requirements]

Poor Shawn and his addressing the attendees to a reasons conference, believing that calling them evil will get him listened to for anything other humor.

  • 11:47 Oh yeah! That's how easy it is to dismiss the hole thing. Snakes don't talk. Period!

  • That ammonite is made of concrete!

Are you just trying to test our faith?

  • A goober who's skeptical of evolution is bad enough. What scares me more is a *doctor* who's anti-evolution.

  • @Rabboleth Like Dr. Ron Paul MD?

  • @AtheistCitizen him, and far too many others just like him, who somehow got their hands on a medical degree.

  • VFX looks like hes on the rough end of a bender...

  • STOP ACTA!

  • @dumbnetworks the video is on my channel....

  • Claire. What if all the strata were even & undisturbed. Like a loverly wedding cake. Layer upon layer made of deliciousness. Or at least appearing to be delicicous. That is how God would have CREATED the Earth if he/she/it wanted to make us think, "God! The Earth must be extremely old!". So he jumbled it all up so we'd be confused & have no idea how old. & the 1st inknowledgable ruminations written would put the Earth = human history. So UNsensible. Yet so God-like? The brain is a GLAND anyway.

  • Thumbs up for the LOTR music!

  • Thanks Claire! Just as I was trying to forget the football from yesterday, you lead your video off with football. Ugh...can't believe Wenger thought it would be a good idea to put Andrei Arshavin on for Alex O-C. So disappointed.

  • I usually get a kick out of your videos anyways, but when you said Dirt Man and Rib Woman I lost it. That was fucking hilarious! Pwnage at its finest! (Love you Claire!)

  • "YouTubers" - heh... every time I hear that, I get a mental picture of some potatos growing between the toes of some couch potato who's busy swilling beer in front of his PC and commenting here... hey! :P

  • Man City v Spurs!!! What a game! Glad you watched it.

  • I like to hunt and fish and run through the woods, but I find thumping books spooks the game.

  • Might I suggest Shawn is closing in on a lifetime lack of achievement award.:)

  • Why is that guy sitting in a creek? : )

I must ask how do creationist explain Cro-Magnoid people and other other humanoids?

    God's mistakes ..lol

  • putting Shawn up for Dim Bulb is pretty unfair on just about every other numbskull out there, as he is in a pretty exclusive category of super-dim bulb.

Thanks for the condolences on the travesty that was the Man City win... Balotelli should be strung up by his heels for that stamp on Parker

  • @mrsanity I saw a Wolves player sent off for the same offense on Saturday, and he didn't kick his opponent in the head.

  • I have only one comment... (swoon!) That is all.

  • did he actually misspell mathematics? mathmatics? HAHAH what a fucking dumbass VFX (Shawn) is. What a conceited, arrogant, dipshit. I thought he might mature but I see he hasn't. Prob living off daddy. Having to get a real job in the real world might sober him up a bit.

  • @TruthSurge ah, maybe it wasn't his text up there. My comment is still true, though! hahahha he's a sad piece of work.

  • @TruthSurge No, actually I did. :)) Just got in hurry typing.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 yeah, I figured maybe it was you after I saw more text up top that didn't fit what he would put there. that math line sounded like he might have been suggesting those and certainly, spelling flops go hand in hand with lots of creatards.

  • VenomFangX has been watching too much Kent Hovind.. did anyone else notice that he is displaying the man's nuances?

  • @CMO999 His earlier videos on YouTube were direct plagiarism of old Kent Hovind videos.

  • *thumbs up*

Always enjoy your caffeine fuelled videos. Even if your knowledge of English football puts me to shame.....

  • I like the geology in a minute segment and hope you do more of this in your videos.

  • @chaogenus Ditto

  • If every logical thought I have is the acknowledgment of the existence of god then it's a good thing I grew out of logical thinking. ;-)

  • Let me guess: the two dislikes are from VenomFangX and Turbodog. ;)

  • I quite enjoy being called evil by VFX.

  • @ozmoroid It's more of a compliment then anything else isn't it? XD

  • Enjoyed this video, @WildwoodClaire1. Very interested in the history of William Smith, and look fwd to your video with more on this subject. Those dim bulbs are comical... made me laugh out loud.

  • "Molesting the livestock"...? That made me laugh out loud right here in my office!

  • Are you going to do a segment on Nicolas Steno?

  • @apeek7 yes

  • @WildwoodClaire1 By the way, I visited London last year and stopped in at the Geological Society of London. The receptionist hardly knew about the map and really didn’t care. I bought a small copy. I also saw another unusual sight in London. I made a video about it (my only video so far). If you are interested it is titled “London -- Not Your Usual Sight To See”

  • @WildwoodClaire1 clint dempsey is now the highest scoring american in premiership history too btw.

great vid again too. keep the geology minute in, learning is good.

  • Shawn the pain! The stupid it burns!!!!

  • Of course there is no such thing as "the law of abiogenesis." As for scientists believing "life came from non-life," that's what Creationists believe.

  • @Desertphile Someone flagged your statement as spam! What an idiot that was.

  • 10:40

I'm consistently amazed by that statement -- "That's never been witnessed (even if "that" is a strawman)." Would that same measure of scrutiny be applied to their own beliefs; or, as I suspect, is this a flagrant double-standard that they seldom ever cede admission?

  • @plasticiconoclastic

It's too bad "evolutionists" don't have a book chock-a-block with unsubstantiated assertions to point to when there's a circular reasoning shortage -- "What do you mean you demand evidence? The book says so, and that's evidence enough for the book's claims."

    A fantastic video as always.

  • you know, it kinda pisses me off being called evil by a lowlife piece of shit like Shaun... how many times has the little turd been caught up to no good? He's unbelievable.

  • @Brascofarian He's the posterboy for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. And people with NPD are among the most insufferable on the planet.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 "people with NPD"...funny this is also short for a german right wing party...coincidence?^^

  • @WildwoodClaire1 What pisses me off is that he wouldn't begin to understand what that even means and would somehow try to spin it around and assume he "pwnd" whoever said that.

  • VenomFangX is the best comedian on You Tube. And he likes being a bee in the bonnet of the atheist community.

  • @goosed1 I think he has higher ambitions than that.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 Like what, puberty?

  • @WildwoodClaire1 Why do the lowest brows always have the highest ambitions?

  • @WildwoodClaire1 the mosquitoes on my windshield ?

  • It would be so much fun to have a "Coffee with Claire" WITH Claire! Would be such a treat to actually sit down with you and the fat cats at the kitchen table and just toss ideas back and forth. If I haven't said "Thank You" for these Sundays lately, Claire, I've been negligent. "Thank you," Claire! You really make my Sundays!

  • And still Creationists don't get that spontaneus generation isn't compatible with darwinian evolution.

  • I don't think that it serves any purpose to to give that fucking shitstain PCS any airtime.

  • Do they ever give an idea how this conspiracy gives money out? I'd like to get some "supporting the conspiracy" money, who do I apply to? Can I just write it on a slip of paper, put it under the park bench in the middle of Central Park? Or is this one where I have to hide it in the Thomas Jefferson memorial, under his right foot (of course), along with a perfect replica of "Vetruvian Man".

  • What kills me about creatards is the claim you didn't see it so therefore how can you know its true. And yet no one was around to see the great bearded sky fairy make the universe, and man out of a pile of dirt.

  • @ldmitruk I second that! How lame was FSM that if he created the universe just by speaking, how is it that he couldn't create people just by speaking? And rib woman, just say the word or did he forget how he made man and had to improvise. And if he created the darkness, what color was the place he came from prior to creating the darkness? A nice powder blue, or maybe Lavender. I'm SOOO confused!!!

  • @gateman42 In the case of FSM I think colour would be one of the following:

    Dry pasta yellow

    Cooked pasta pasty white

    Tomato sauce red

  • @ldmitruk I didn't have time or I would also have shared turbodog's ideas about the Flood and the 1st and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics. But then, if you've seen many creatards, you've heard it before.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 I think hearing what he to say would be too painful to listen to.

  • VFX's brain needs to be studied, its hard to grasp how he can still be alive with such a warped and disconnected stack of neurons floating around up there..

  • @enlightendbel ; "VFX's brain needs to be studied...."

The ability to believe that which ones knows to be false has indeed been studied, for more than 2,000 years. The book "The Mind of the Bible Believer" covers the subject well. The novel _1984_ is based on the ability.

  • creatards seem to genuinely believe that evolution is atheism is satanism is sodomy. can't reason with everyone...

  • thing with creatards is that the don't understand evolution or science in general (or indeed religion) because they go out of their way not to. berlinski is a classic, has a philosophy degree which I don't and yet he says he didn't understand evolution when he was at skool. there again in amerika that is not unusual where creatards managed to get evolution out of the textbooks for decades....

  • Shaun is so willfully ignorant, even mis-comunicating ideas he's been thoroughly corrected on and had explained.

  • My morning (actually midnight) coffee was better today, thanks to you Claire.

Looking forward to more hard science with you ;-)

  • Have you read "The Surgeon of Crowthorne", also by Winchester?

It is one of my favourite books and I'm sure you would love it. It is about the genesis of the OED, but it has a wider appeal that just Dictionary nerds like me.

  • Here is the funny thing; assuming the creatards are correct, the only thing they've proven is the existence of a deistic definition of what God is which still fails to back up the truthiness of their particular scripture.

  • Love the Geology Minute segment! PCS really annoys me, the smug attitude coupled with his incredible ignorance just get to me.

  • When you say "smoking dope" I hope you were not referring to marijuana, because if it was and Carl Sagan was still alive he would probably be insulted.

  • Dirtman! I like that, it sounds like an inverse superhero.

    Hmm...SuperZero?

  • vfx=LOL

  • I LOVE LOVE that picture of Craig with the mathematics dig in the caption. The way he refers to Dawkins, Harris and Hitchens as being unsophisticated philosophically is just scratching the tip of the iceberg about how I take his pontificating on mathematics.

The sad part is that there's no way to shut him down in a debate on that stuff because it would takes hundreds of lecture hours to get an audience up to speed to even vaguely understand why he's completely full of shit. =^_^=

  • Lovely piece of work :-)))

  • I just want to slam my head against a brick wall listening to these people spew stuff that they have NO idea about. Basically I'm not the biggest expert on evolution or the origins of life, or chemistry etc, but at least i can grab a general idea equal to about or maybe just above a highschool education... not from the no child left behind program.... wowza.

  • I think VFX has already earned a lifetime achievement award - and at such a young age too!

    Impressive. Kinda. In a way.

  • Posterboy PRICK!

  • The only time these dim bulbs ever get a thumbs up is when they appear in your videos! lol.

  • You're always worth the wait Claire & while I agree with your DB choice, I don't believe he's for real -- just another charlatan in the christian-mongering business. I know it's important to try & counter their stupidity & outright lies, but I do grow weary of hearing them. If I were American, I would be far more concerned with the apparant grip fundamental Christianity has on the political process. In Canada politicians have to keep it to themselves -- otherwise they'd be unelectable.

  • 6:35. loved that owl.

  • I doubt that VFX knows how to go into a grocery store and bring back dinner...

  • William Simth's background reminds me of James K. Maxwell...

  • That guy who kills the deer reminds me of that guy from Monty Python who says "we should tax all those who stand in water"...

  • At 10min 14sec the guy says "laff comes from laff"

I agree, as in Laff-Out-Loud at his laffable creatardism.

OK, OK, I know, that was a cheapshot at Southern accents and I may get reemed for that one.

    I still love y'all anyway! ;-)

  • What about Ian Juby and his Creationist pwnage? Not even an honorable mention? Claire, I luv ya, but this is a conspicuous omission.

  • Don't eat the wish 'n' bullchips with creatarder sauce, it's bad for your factvascular system.

  • "EVIL"

    that's it...

  • Shaun for the chop, again. I sooooo want to slap that boy around the face with a wet smelly fish whilst chanting "you silly, silly boy"....

  • Shaun is angry that a group of people get to laugh at him and he doesn't get an invite..... lol.

  • Oh man, I love me some CwC. Pish on my potato, every time. rofl

  • 8:50 - "Boy you got a purty mouth!" - Insert dueling banjo's music here....

  • Congratulations on the Fulham win yesterday. I support Newcastle United, but NUFC seriously lost the plot for that second half. Fulham deserved the win. I just want our African lads to come back from their tournament. Looks like we need Demba Ba more than I'd thought.

  • Darling Claire, accept my endless gratitude for providing me, and so many others, with a bastion of enlightenment and revelry each and every Sunday. Would you like some of my Irish cream in your coffee?

VFX? *shudders* Sean's pathological xtianity won't end well, I fear. Let's just say I won't be surprised to see headlines about the Ontario serial killer who, clad as Batman, killed local atheists.

    Why?

Because his mission was to bring nonbelievers before god; to show them they were wrong.

  • @KCKatheist Oooh-and the wide-eyed lemur more than satisfied my RDA of adorable! Thank you!

  • Geology = Rocks for Jocks ;-)

  • How on earth did you watch all 10 minutes of vfx's video without smashing your head repeatedly onto your desk? I can't do it. Even with a copious supply of wine to numb the senses, I can't do it.

  • Arguing with the annotations at 6:20: fMRI scans supply at least some evidence that thoughts are probably physical.

You've got me on mathematics, though. :)

  • @HebaruSan religious tards have a lot of trouble with the ideas of human mental abstraction eg. mathematics, math is logical and reasoned abstraction but what is amazing is that if can be applied to the reality of our world and universe. For example Einsteins theory of relativity a mathermatical abstraction has real world applications such as solving time differentials with respect to GPS satellites etc.

  • more geology yeah!!!

  • For anyone else like me where the only time you have to read is driving between work locations, the audio book version of the Map that Changed the World is also really well done.

  • What is that 'bish banto' sign off mean, Claire? I have no idea if I'm even hearing right. I'm not even absolutely certain it's not in english...

  • @Sines314 Bis Spater (spelling?) mean essentially see you later in german

  • @Sines314 "bis später." It's German and can roughly be translated as "see you later." Before some pedant corrects me, the literal interpretation is "until later."

  • @WildwoodClaire1 genau richtig. That's correct.

Although now I need to find a German equivalent of sugarbritches....

    zuckerhosen maybe..?

  • Your 'Dim Bulb' pic at 5:13 is much more 'brilliant' than VFX. Just saying.

  • @saxmanchiro Unfortunately, a black hole would have consumed the entire internet.

  • random but I love your hair, its getting longer!

  • Oh, VFX is talking "evil", is he? Wait for it: he'll eventually convert to Islam. There's no better way to spurn your Jewish father than converting to Jesusism, then to Islamism. The message is: "Look, I have found a better daddy than you."

  • It is interesting to watch 2 idiots verbally soil themselves

  • Ah the old just want to disobey god so we can be naughty,

Come on Captain Mainwaring say what you see

    "you stupid boy"

  • Claire, are you going to Reason Rally? Me and a friend are comming all the way from Norway ;)

  • @Oskoreii I'm thinking about it.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 Ride the bus out of Raleigh with me.

  • I'm more fascinated by how these people completely ignore the contradictions in their holy book, especially in the Pentateuch in the Old Testament, or the frequent contradictions in the Gospels in the New Testament, and only mention the differences between Catholic Bible and Protestant Bible.

  • VenomFangX makes my head hurt.

  • Have you ever visited the U.K claire?

  • Good choice,he makes uneducational videos that will reduce your intelligence just by watching them.

  • Mind those shelves don't topple.

  • Venom grew up in Toronto. His idea of wildlife is ducks feeding on bread crumbs thrown at them by the elderly.

  • It's always painful to watch a retard *cough* VFX *cough*, then leave for a year, come back and find out the person is still a retard.

YT gets a bit boring after being blocked on every retard channel (and race supremacists, who are retards too).

  • Don't bother to try to argue with Shawn. because, # 1, he will block you as soon as you start to make sense. # 2, He is as dishonest as they come. # 3, he's a compulsive liar. # 4 he's insane( really) .

Shawn ,, If you get this. I want to tell you. You had better hope that your god doesn't exist because if he did, there would be a specially hot part of Hell saved just for Scum like you.

  • @itsasin1969 I once had a lengthy PM exchange with Shaun. It felt like being trapped inside an out-of-tune tuba.

  • @itsasin1969 Is it the level reserved also for pedophiles and those who talk in the theatre?

Any idea that isn't Shaun's is immediately censored. He's got his head dug in so deep that I wouldn't be surprised if the sediment has lithified around it.

  • @micometer Sediment is smarter than that, it would turn into granite so he wouldn't be able to get his head in so as not to have to look at his ugly face.

  • Turbodog wouldn't know science if it came up through the bottom of his boat and bit him in his ass.

I for one am fed the fuck up with 7th grade drop outs proclaiming the "laws" of science when he has no idea the difference between a theory, law, or fact.

  • Gareth Barry is from my hometown.

  • Oh man now that Venon is in college, he is eagle to show everyone his command of Philosophy, and who else could be more appealing to him than the champion of CrackPots William Craig. He no longer regurgitates Kent Hovind anymore.

It is a shame because Venom is actually smart, as oppose to the other moron in this week dim buld.

As a matter that moron got a good deal with a nomination. A dim buld nomination is probably giving him more views of his video than he could ever dream off.

  • You're the highlight of my weekend, Claire!

  • American-born Larry-Duke Spangler III scored a hat-trick against The Old Harrowians while playing for Lord Asquith-Dingleberry's First XI in 1896. While technically it was not The Premier League, it was the top division of its day. However, it has been rumoured that Larry-Duke kept his boots under Queen Victoria's bed, if you follow me. So the Harrowian back-four may have deemed it wise to allow Larry a little wiggle room.

  • Sometimes I wish I was raised in a barn. It just provides such an excellent comeback.

"Why yes I was, now go shut your own damn door!"

    Peace be with you Claire.

  • Greetings again from Texas, Claire! Very nice work on the "Geology Minute!" I was familiar with Smith from the geology courses I took in high school and college, and learning more about the man was quite nice. (Thanks for momentarily taking us to Middle Earth with the LOTR score.) VFX has wavered from Jewish to agnostic to Christian in his lifetime, and if he puts his astounding intellectual capacity to use, he may, with any luck, reason himself out of his religious faith. Have a great week!

  • Claire, you're the best. Informative and funny.

  • 12:10 "why would an omnipotent being capable of making a universe need a pile of dirt?"

thats easy. you know, god made the whole universe out of nothing. since the universe is huge, eventually he didnt have enough nothing left anymore, so he used dirt instead.

sure, god has a plan as we all know, but he is good in improvising too.

  • i always get a bit excited to see that claire has a new video.

  • Amazingly, I've heard of William Smith. He spent some of his time in my home county, Somerset, which is next to Devon; we had a junior school geography field trip to somewhere near Bath to see some of the strata he examined.

Also, a big thumbs up for featuring one of my favourite birds, S. nebulosa aka the Great Grey Owl.

However, a big thumbs down for being even vaguely positively disposed towards Spurs.

    :P

  • @ASENevents Actually, the mining company for which he worked was in Somerset, not Devonshire. I mispoke.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 Btw, ASENevents is me.

You still lose points for not hating Spurs.

  • Thanks for your videos. Watching them is part of Sunday.

  • They proved life can start from non-life.

They proved natural selection, or as I like to call it, 'coolshitjusthappens'

They proved dinos, find Earth-like planets all the freaking time, can watch and/or know almost every little detail of how planets, stars, and solar systems get formed.... (sigh) etc etc etc.

And you're still hung up on the words from an old book?

    Why, because they contradict reality!?

  • @shabido1 We don't have proof of life starting fr
