  • well done by the IC, good knock down.

  • why did they pass up the hydrant? hit the hydrant and foward lay that shit. that poor guy running back the 5inch must be so tired

  • @ArtVandaleit and then they had to move shit to let the ladder get in front of the house

  • Indisputably dramatic events, but also great video... Good quality, excellent angles, great shots... I feel sorry for the folks who lost their home, but I can't help it if I appreciate the view...!

  • How awful it must be to watch your home burn. The helpless feeling of seeing all your worked for go up like that.

  • Wat if that roof collasped

  • this video broke my heart as it was close to christmas. i just hope no one was home at the time.

  • people do not feed trolls they like to start house fires :(

  • Way too many guys on that roof.

  • I am disapointed to see that the interior crews had no second story means of egress... The second or even thrid in company could have assisted them by throwing some ladders to the A side of the structure and possibly the D side. Truckies are not the only ones allowed to touch ladders. They are on the peices for a reason, use them. And on another note, since when are traffic safety vests structure fire rated by NFPA? Good way to get yourself hurt if would have went in. Overall, job well done guys

  • now that i think of it... there is only one fire hydrant in my neighboorhood :O

  • Rather amazing the flames could be so huge and yet no apparent damage at front of the house.

  • bout damn time that arieal showed up

  • after seeing how the firefighters in detroit put out fires this is like watching a marx brothers movie i feel bad for the homeowners

  • I know right

  • wow sorry but must say these fire fighters are extremely slow. Nyc fire fighters move twice as fast.

  • firesuppressiontechnology

    .

    com

  • THE ROOF...THE ROOF...THE ROOF IS ON FIRE,WE DON'T NEED NO WATER LET THAT MOTHERFUCKER BURN..BURN MOTHER FUCKER,MOTHER FUCKER BURN.......I can't believe no one has posted this comment yet,lol

  • @xxxEMINENTxxx What a rude and inconsiderate asshole! If, and when you grow up and have a house, how would you feel if you lost everything you had? Bonehead.

  • @watcher818 SHUTUP ASSHOLE THAT WAS PROBABLY YOU THAT STARTED THAT FIRE,DUMBASS!!,LMAO

  • @xxxEMINENTxxx OK Punkie, grow up and get a life. It's obvious you don't have many of your brain cells left.. Don't show all your ignorance at once. Now, go do something useful, if you are able, LMAO.

  • @watcher818 BACK AWAY TROLL I HAVE FIREEE!!!!! OH WAIT YOU DO TOO THAT'S HOW THIS HOUSE WAS SET TO FLAMES :<

  • @xxxEMINENTxxx Hi litle kid, grow up and at least act like you have an ounce of brains. I see you are the troll, making idiotic comments. Go do something useful for a change, and let the adults run the show.

  • @xxxEMINENTxxx you sir have no feelings . you need to grow up . they just lost everything and you go and make this dumbass comment

  • @fireman9576 stop trolling

  • great fire, feel bad for family

  • This was well-filmed

  • was this 7 days before christmas poor people :(

  • Good call from the IC to make a gable end cut instead of pulling the ceiling in the 2nd floor. Could do better on getting the 1st due his water supply. Good stop, it could have been ugly.

  • well they lost the whole house and never even went in the front door for one thing. and there is no FAST truck.. and at 4:37 these guys are walking around on air when there is no smoke near them...

  • What camera do you have? It shoots great quality!

  • lots of hoses...but how about putting some water on the fire...too slow

  • @tourpro1967 Never complain to someone who's job is to help you.

  • @tourpro1967 Lol u really don't have a clue about this do u? the apartment hoses are about 400ft long...you have to have all of that out before charging it...their is a system to use when doing this, it is more complicated than just showing up and putting water on a fire. Get a clue before disrespecting the people that help keep u safe.

  • what ever happened to VES? laddering the building? pushing the fire out not in? 2nd due truck? hydrant- fire? FAST truck?

  • no sir,,, i hate to dissapoint but im from charleston sc fire dept... we were always a very agressive fire dept... i only wish i could have worked at cleveland ohio fire dept... tell your family to stay safe... iaff local 61

  • at 0:11 the guy is saying, "hey i think that house is one fire"

  • someone tell me WHY there is chistmas lights on the house?

  • @bnsfbrandonmoon4 cause its christmas time? jackass

  • we used to put out fires like that with nine men, two pumpers and a truck...i saw that many men on the roof holding a hose...and whats the deal with wearing the air paks??? you are in the freaking yard ... there is nothing wrong with eating a little smoke... it clears the sinuses... other than that,,, great job guys... you got it out...

  • @93CFD Smoke contains toxins and Carcinogens.

  • @93CFD guessing from your username, your from cleveland, OH? i got family on the department there, and have seen what they can do. Great department.

  • i fill for the guy who did the revers lay by himself.

  • @nsvfdfirefighter617 why is that ?

  • I remember my first fire! Kind of cool how all these guys got their "first fire" all at the same time.

  • another satisfied XBOX 360 owner ......prob. downloading a demo from xbox live .

  • Why is the guy @:42 humping a supply line after TWO engines passed it!!?? Fail...

  • These guys were all over it,,Great job!

  • they should have but on there masks and shit before they got there lol

  • @85maxamillion On a structure fire, you dont mask up until you are ready to go interior. Why use your air bottle before you go in. The bottles these guys are using are 30 minute bottles but in a fire will last about 20 to 24 minutes so you save your air and mask up at the door the way these guys did.

  • Tinder boxes. They should make houses out of conrete and bricks.

  • look at the lisence plate at 0.29

  • Think it would have been easier to do a forward lay instead of having the guy run 150ft to hook up to the hydrant then again it is california

  • lazy

  • awww it was so close to christmas!!!! That sucks I mean they lost their tree and probably all the presenttss! Awww :(

  • I'm grateful for firefighters.

  • Damn, that WAS a nice house

  • 1:08 whoopsies, my head is feeling kinda warm...better go get my helmet I left on the lawn.

  • @gsw42489 He took his lid off to don his BA stupid!

  • This is horrible Fire Fighting. Baltimore City Fire dept would have gotten a quick knock on this one

  • was that the owner at 3

    :33

  • Interesting approach to the attic. I would have gotten that ladder pipe working, tho.

  • Omg. Go in and out out the fire. Hose too heavy? Gear too heavy? Quit. If your that much of a coward, quit. In the front door with a ATTACK line and put the fire out. Too dangerous? Go work at burger king. Everyone loves the title and bragging rights, but only a few have the balls to so the job and not complain about things being too heavy or too hot.

  • not trying to be an ass but that was a completely unorganized structure fire operation in my opinion, way too much going on other than attempting to put the fire out, i mean were there at least battalion chiefs on scene to keep some type of order? but i'm not one to judge because i wasn't there, just saying.....

  • @hollywoodsix You don't need a chief to tell you to take a line inside, find the seat as best you can and take an ass-kicking. Ladder pipe on a single family dwelling, not needed unless you messed up and lost the house. Still don't need it on a house fire.

  • @pigjubby yea i agree you don't need a chief to tell you that but in that case it look like there was a lot of confusion going on, so higher authority in my opinion was needed just saying i've been on several calls with other departments mutual aid in the past and sometimes firefighters get hesitant about who to take their orders from when you got different departments on scene, thats not an issue for us anymore but like i said i wasn't there i was throwing a suggestion out

  • o:16 why is the guy with dog just walking?

  • @deadkidisevil maybe it was a seeing eye dog :)

  • they dont kno how to put out an fire out cuz dat most likely this is there first house fire they been in cuz 1st look at there gear it all clean an real fireman has it dirty n clean scpa

  • excellent video..Great Job Filming This Fire!!!!!!!!!

  • did everybody live?..and what caused it?

  • I'm a full time firefighter and that was pathetic ...

  • @firelt597 God Bless u for risking your life to save ours..Not trying to be an ass here..I mean it from the bottom of my heart!

  • awsome fire, and well filmed

  • @shrimptim yes, well filmed, but no house fire is awesome, that's someones house burning down, ya know?

  • I know nothing about being a Fireman but y did it take so long to start putting out the fire..curious

  • was everyone okay

  • what the fuck is up with everyone thinking that their opinion is the fucking word of god? honestly i think everyone can fucking see what the hell could have been done better, the world doesn't need your input on every little thing that's going wrong.

  • @johnsmithy667 i wondered what was your problem until i started reading all the comments. you're right. what a bunch of jack-offs. bunch of guys who wear tazmanian devil firefighter shirts and hang out at conventions. plus 93cfd is a total asshole. probably for the best he retired.

  • They should have layed in first of all with the hydrant line then get those attack lines charged quicker that ladder should have been raised over the roof to get a good angle of attack with the water

  • that truck in the begining shouldve stopped at the hydrant..screw carrying a 4 inch hose thaaat far

  • this video makes me ashamed to say i was a fireman...

  • Nice aggressive attack onto the roof, that was a good choice! better then committing to guys on the inside

  • I feel mad sorry for the dude who had to run the supply line BACK to the hydrant, even if it was only 100 feet.

  • just want to say i have just recently seen a house fire down my street. not as bad as this but the smoke smell is waeful and heat is soo intense we were across the street watching. i cant imagine what its like to hav to go through that. i hope it never happens to me and my family .everyone wasnt home and they were able to rescue the dog. god bless the firefighters who put their lives on the line . !! we luv you and support you. <3

  • @dazzlingD9296 Yep its a scary thing to witness. I've seen a few fires around my neighborhood and it makes me scared something like that will happen. I often have dreams that my house caught on fire and it has me on edge the whole day after. I remember one in particular that happened on a hot summer night. and smoke from a house fire a few blocks away managed to come in through my windows. jumped up outta bed and ran through every room and checked outside 2 see if it was from my house.

  • just want to say i have just recently seen a house fire down my street. everyone wasnt hoe and they were able to rescue the dog. god bless the firefighters who put their lives on the line . !! we luv you and support you. <3

  • I couldnt even imagine what it would be like to see your home on fire, God be with all those who have to endure such tragedy. I really wish I could have made it on the FD, all of you firefighters are heroes, wether you want to be or not. God bless you guys and gals!!

  • i live right on the border line of rancho. wat street do u know?

  • can we get the kids any closer????

  • The Firefighters did a great job as always, high wind, fire was in the attic on arrival, not a walk in the park. Great Video....

  • im glad i retired when i did... i couldnt handle the new politically correct way to fight fire...

  • Looks like this one was hot and fast. Was it arson?

  • monday morning quarterbacks, grow up gentlemen

  • thats crazy and close to christmas :(

  • @Redswtrguylover how? its in march.

  • @alexgonick it says thats when it was uploaded>

  • @Redswtrguylover yah caught it too late.i sorry about that. i dont mean any trouble.

  • why not stop the rig at the hydrant, wrap it, and continue on instead of the ff humping that hose back to it?

  • @wfd6912 it was hand jacked 30 feet , come on

  • kinda surprised nobody bothered to grab a garden hose or something till they arrived with the big hoses

  • @Skankpronger ya good thinking... run into a burning house filled with smoke and a garden hose, try it sometime and let us know how it worked for ya

  • @gsarjos wait did I say run into the house with hose? I said go and see if you can find any hoses laying around to help cool the house down untill they get there. you need to pay attention before you reply that way you wont sound like such an idiot on here.

  • why the helll does it take forever to get some water going??

  • Wow. A week before Christmas. That sucks. I just hope that no one was hurt. That is the most important thing.

  • wow ive nevr seen or experienced a house fire before. i dont think i ever want to. were the people that lived their ok?

  • HOW COME IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET WATER ON TO IT??? IT MEANT THE SECOND HOUSE WAS FUCKED ALSO!!

  • @2009jimmy2009 look again

  • Nice exterior attack.

  • man yall need some firefighting skill ,your dept burn down this home dam,

  • why are you guys on air pulling lines around the house?

  • awsome video wow, very clear!

  • thats bad

  • what started the fire

  • @sonicfart111 a flame about an inch tall... hahaha

  • @93CFD so someone was playing with fire and ended up in flames ha ha

  • Why didn't the second in engine catch the hydrant? It would have saved that poor guy from having to skull drag, what, 2-3 hundred feet of hose. Glad they finally found a way to the fire, but was it necessary to have that many guys up on that roof? Think safety first brothers.

  • Great knockdown, these guys know what they are doing

  • @johncooner bull shit

  • @johncooner< I hope you're being sarcastic. 4 trucks and a hydrant taking 5 minutes to water on fire? Horrible job.

  • Just sayin I am in the fire academy and with a 30 min bottle and full ppe it's totally weight is 85lbs. Attack lines or 3 inch hoselines ain't as heavy as you think. Rolled up it's 20 lbs so just sayin not tryin to argue just stating facts.

  • @prestonsfranks1 75 lb

  • goood vid but dont cut in and out so much stay withe the whole movie rather than bits an pieces

  • How did the fire start?

  • @blueloud32 with a flame about an inch tall... hahaha,,, just messing around...

  • @blueloud32 i believe an amp or something like it may have caused the fire

  • Number 1 priority is life safety, incident stabilization, and property conservation. Got to remember that its someones stuff burning and go in and get the job done.

  • Ok, so let me clarify this video, since I am a firefighter's daughter.

    1. This isn't like the movies people, where firemen rush into houses. If it's a house that's not worth saving, then they're not going to save it.

    2. Those hoses themselves weigh 130 lbs. or more with out water.

    3. Their turn-outs AKA their uniforms, weigh about 110 lbs plus their body weight so I know y'all can do the math.

  • @PrincessOfEdenia....thanks wow I didn't know that it weighs that much...that's some hard labor

  • @PrincessOfEdenia i call bull shit... maybe a 5 or 6 inch supply hose weighs 130 lbs but no hand line does... and you are way off on the weight of the body guards... either someone is feeding you a bunch of bull or your scale needs to be calibrated...

  • @93CFD

Yeah. You're right. The hose line weighs more than that with the water. And no I'm not off on the TURN-OUT weight. With all of their equipment such as the 85 lb. breathing apparatus, the thick multi-layered pants and coat, the 5 lb. helmet, the steel toed boots, etc. Do you really think I'm bullshiting?? I don't know what J-14 magazine you're reading that's telling you all that bull, but never ever say that MY comment is bull. Got it???

  • @PrincessOfEdenia someday when you grow up youll realize how stupid you sound right now... ill leave you alone ... sorry i got you upset...

  • @93CFD

I think you'll realize how stupid you sound. You act like you know about firefighters...

  • @PrincessOfEdenia i dont know anything about firemen... im just a poser who likes getting under peoples skin...if you had read my profile you would have known that...

  • @93CFD

Are you really permanantly disabled?? :(

  • @PrincessOfEdenia yes... and you were right about the gear weighing 110 or more... my old pbi which is supposed to be the lightest with a scott air pak with composit 45 min cylinder weighed 85 pounds and it dont get much lighter than that... so older body guards could easily get into the 110 pound range... sorry i tried to get under your skin...

  • @PrincessOfEdenia Will you shut up. Being a FF daughter does not make you a fire fighter. get it

  • @iamlost2 pay her no attention... shes a troll... she will say anything to get under your skin...

  • @PrincessOfEdenia Wrong, those hoses do not weigh 130 lbs without water. Not all hoses are the same dia.

  • i love it how a guys is walking his dog as if nothing happened

  • ok for those who are complaining about the speed. 1. no one inside no rush for resuce 2. house is beyond saving at this point no use in overlooking something and gettting a fire fighter killed. when you rush into a fire and dont take the time to view the whole picture people get killed.

  • Almost 6 minutes to finally hit the fire with water...WTF? No urgency what so ever to put this fire out! Might as well got out a garden hose and give it a shot yourself...LMFAO!!!!!!!

  • those firemen are really slow

  • Why on earth wouldnt the FF put this fire out from the inside??? Get up their, pull some ceiling and get some water on it?? You have fire showing from the start and you know where it is, I dont understand!!

  • @wrkn258

    1. Was that the family of the house at 4:01 ?

    2. Is the house fixed now?

  • @PNSB101 i believe that was the family and yes the house is fixed

  • I used to always think that a house fire would never happen to me until last night. me and my brother were watching tv around 11 pm. i smelt something weird (not smoke, but more like burning rubber.) i woke up my parents. we looked around. i opened the back door and the back porch and part of the wall was on fire. we had fire extinguishers that put most of it out exept the coals. the fire department took 20 min to get to the house we dont like out of town at all. luckly everything was fine

  • this is why you have to be REALLY careful.

  • Comment removed

  • @dallaspolo - read the title - videop was posted in March but the fire happened a week before christmas.

  • Comment removed

  • first engine crew should have used the roof of the house to the right of the burning house. but that sucks. goodluck with the rebuild

  • alcohol dont mix with building fires in the fire place.

  • Sad though. That looked like a really nice house. Good quality video though.

  • The siren at 0:07 sunds like an elephant thats just sat on his nuts by mistake

  • @PUFCKG LOL I had to go back and listen to that again...

You are right!! I had to laugh when I listened to it. Poor elephant. That looks like a nice house and nice area. I hope the family is ok.

    ~LauraG.~

  • @PUFCKG elephants nuts are actualy high up in its back lol just had to be a smart arse sorry lol
