In Texas nobody messes with Texas University for very long. Some go away quietly as the Hogs did. Others find themselves in trouble with the NCAA, ie. SMU, TCU and the University of Houston. It is pretty evident, Craig James or not, that the university wasn't going to allow Leach to answer any of the allegations. Most intitutions will attempt to determine the truth before firing the coach. They wanted to get rid of Leach - for whatever reason - and this was the opportunity. So without investigation, they just did it. I think it was a combination of the money and the fact that Leach probably pissed off administration several times in the past.

In Texas nobody messes with Texas University for very long. Some go away quietly as the Hogs did. Others find themselves in trouble with the NCAA, ie. SMU, TCU and the University of Houston. Coaching problems may arise as it did over the years at A&M. If you recall some strange things happened dating back to Bear and Jackie Sherrill.

My thoughts were enhanced by a call from Bristol, the headquarters of ESPN. Texas vs. Oklahoma State,the announcers were order to stop questioning the officials calls. The call were going for the Horns. So what they really meant was dont blow the cover. What is going on down here in Texas, is more that just home cooking.

Everyone loses in this situation. The James' are going to always look negative because of this situation and since they live in Texas good luck when they go out in public. Texas Tech will lose a lot of money from donors, alumni, and chances to be a good program. Whoever they get if they suck next year then the program will be set back 10 years before he got there. Mike Leach had a big ego and finally got to him but the Admin had a bigger one and they were looking for anything to fire him.

This kid had a "mild concussion", which means that he tells his doctor that his head hurts after the CT scan doesn't show anything.... a diagnosis of exclusion that a doctor make to cover his ass. The kid is then instructed to show up to participate in light excercise while the "players" practice. He shows up dressed like an Inglewood pimp with no intention of doing anything except trying to look cool...

It is pretty evident, Craig James or not, that the university wasn't going to allow Leach to answer any of the allegations. Most intitutions will attempt to determine the truth before firing the coach. They wanted to get rid of Leach - for whatever reason - and this was the opportunity. So without investigation, they just did it. I think it was a combination of the money and the fact that Leach probably pissed off administration several times in the past.

Indeed, it is a conspiracy if we want to look at the literal definition of the word. Have you read the leaked e-mails between the Texas Tech administrators? They wanted Leach gone ASAP, and they used the James family as their catalyst, knowingly or unknowingly. Haw haw haw! If you really follow the game then you should know that almost all of the starters for the Michigan State team was suspended. The Big 12 committee last year was bullshit and bias for picking OU over Texas. Everybody knows Texas should have played for the title because we have the toughest schedule in college football. Texas Tech didn't even win their bowl game LMFAO!

last year?? youre comparing alabama last year to this year? we did better than texas did last year because we went undefeated in regular season play. on top of that, we had a bum for a qb last year. thats why we lost to florida and the utes, because of qb performance. and texas didnt lose because of a lucky drive, they lost because they played like crap the whole game on defense, and then they thought they were entitled to the win because theyre the horns.
