That is so cool of you helping your friend. Awesome. I just took my writing GED test. I hope I passed. Tomorrow I will be taking my science and social studies. I hope I pass.
Dude the topics differ from State to state, and district to district. I cant tell you what the topic is, it doesn't even matter what it is. What you have to get down is how to write effectively and get your thesis statement across.
I just took the practice test today (2 weeks until I take the real one). The essay isn't so bad, I barely finished it time but received a perfect score. Just make sure you use good grammar, spelling, and punctuation and convey your point properly. I have terrible handwriting but still scored great on it, the lady scoring was just happy that I spelled well and wrote a decent essay. The hardest part is thinking of what to write in less than an hour, they give you a subject and you have to do it.
From what I saw in the practice test, they rate it as either 1, 2, 3, or 4. From what I understand, if you get less than a 2 you will completely fail the writing test (that includes your multiple choice questions). You need a 2 or higher to finish. On my practice I got a 4, hopefully things work out just as well when I take the real test. Wish me luck. =P
i have my ged tomorrow too :(
