I Don't think he was ill this was probs performed in 2005 when Hide From The Sun Came out and when they made that he had smoke heavily to make his voice deeper and gruff lol

I can't believe how inconsiderate some of you people are. So he didn't hit the high notes? Big deal. That's not the point of the song. You can literally see the pain in his eyes. This song obviously means quite a bit to him, and all you can think about is 'how badly he sucks live.' Seriously, grow up.

At the moment this was recorded, Lauri was quite ill. that's why he sounds not that great as normal.

at the other hand is this a song full of emotions for him aswell, and that effects his voice even more in combination with his illnes at that moment

Lauri sounds great live but here he changed the notes too much n it doesn't sound good because everyone else on the instruments pretty much kept to the original notes. He also sounds kinda worn n tired.

of course he sounds worn. hes probably been on tour for a long time at this point. lets say it was in feb 06. he was on tour for half a year alone. at this point he still has almost a year to go with this tour.

I think the rasmus are far better live than on CD, I love them so much, and they're great musicians, they don't need all the studio effects to sound good. I much prefer their actual sound, which they give live =D
