  • this is great thanks andrew

  • I just donated 10 bucks.

  • R.I.P. Main HD Camera (2009-2012)

  • DO A MONEY BOMB !!!!!

You work your butt off and I learn a lot from you. I'm with the last poster here, count me for $100.00. Do the money bomb!

  • ANDREW. PLEASE THINK OF DOING A "MONEY BOMB" TO GET YOU A NEW HD CAM! I'D GIVE YOU A DONATION OF $20 AND I'M SURE THAT THERE ARE OTHERS WHO WOULD TOO. IF 100 PEOPLE GAVE YOU A DONATION - YOU'D HAVE ANOTHER HD CAMERA IN NO TIME!

  • @jippie11261 I would donate too!

  • @simoncaron YES, absolutely! I'd donate as well. After Andrew's posted like over 300 guitar lessons for free, I think I can shoot the guy $100 towards getting a new camera so "I can watch his lessons" in better quality. It's a No-Brainer! DO THE MONEY BOMB Andrew!!! I'm in!

  • @jippie11261,

Thanks! ...I may have to take your idea seriously. We've had a real cold-snap in weather here & I've just lost one of our studio's outdoor security cam's. The security cams are made by Pelco and run over $500 each. They're good till -50 but Canada's killer deep-freeze weather has taken it's toll on their internal heaters I guess... I'll keep ya posted on if/when I'm doing a Money Bomb! Thanks for all of the wicked support guys. So far 2012 ain't going to well.

  • love it. im gonna practice some arpeggio notes over chords. but not make them sound too technical...

  • Even with the webcam it is great. It is not the image that is important, the content is what matters. Thanks.

  • do you think its important to (when you come up with a good sounding random idea) to then sit there for half an hour or whatever slowly drilling it, and revisit it that new lick each day? or focus more on the creation of lots of licks and not dwelling too much on them?

  • 4:52 to add I think one's low self confidence can tremendously affect their playing. Many people don't understand the way their esteem can trick them into making mistakes. You can visualize yourself missing a note and then internalize that fear. Eventually it'll end up transferring over to your playing . If this is the case I'd say step away from the guitar for a little and slow down.

  • @DistortedV12 I find meditation helps

  • 2:15 hahaha I do that EVERY day.

  • has anybody found the handout??

  • you're so awesome andrew, keep it up mate !

  • sorry bout the camera :(

  • Sorry about the HD! The webcam looks good tho. Great lesson, i am going to start outlining my chords alot more! Thanks buddy!

  • Tough stuff. But really good!

  • Hey Andrew, I really enjoyed your lesson.

Just one question ... did you composed the ending song of the video??

Do you know a few guitarists that kinda have this playing style??

  • @kikuticps I was about to comment the same thing!! Guys please thumb the above comment up so Andrew can read it!!

  • @raphael77ful this kind of music is really worth stealing some licks and just awesome when you're playing it! isnt??

  • @kikuticps,

Hello... Yes, that song is a composition of mine that I recorded on my self-titled album. There are a number of guitarists who play this slow ballad style. Check out; William Ackerman, Michael Hedges, Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel, Adrian Legg, and I'd also highly suggest looking into the Buena Vista Social Club. Hope this helps & thanks for watching.

  • When I was in live bands, a long time ago, I used to feed off the audience, if they raged and danced their heads off, I gave them equivalently wild lead, if they were dead and just sat there, sometimes I used to just play the chords, now I write using sequencers, I put images in my mind, and use that to shade the piece. It works! Thanks for the lesson also. My current music project is on You Tube Nandalal108 ROCK FOR RADHARANI. Check it out and I pray you enjoy.

  • 1:56 thats jazz

  • Great lesson! I'm not a very fast guitar player, but sometimes when I play a gig, I don't know how, I start playing very fast during my improvised solos. When I tried to repeat it at home I can't reach that speed... I don't understand that :)

  • interesting, most original lesson on youtube.

  • yay I LOVE YOU
