I saw the report on the news that Grandholm had let a guy out of prison for a murder he probably did not commit. I hoped it was Temujin but it turned out to be another guy. Sorry.
@myfletcher It's because she and he don't get along - to say the least. They have a child together, and apparently she's convinced that if he gets let out, he'd get the child. Therefore, she's having nothing to do with his defense.
But that was her reason for not helping Freeman initially.
I'd say - I'm speculating here of course - that today it's more about self preservation - meaning she knows she did wrong by not helping, and she doesn't want to rip the scab off what is likely a festering wound of guilt.
If she did, she'd probably find that it would help her in the long term.
Convincing her though would be like trying to convince a severely depressed friend to seek help.

@cinesimonj Isn't the child grown by now? He's been in jail since...1987. The child would be 23ish.
How is he going to get custoday of a grown woman who is his daughter? The daughter is an adult.
I think the guy is innocent, and it is strange you replied today because I thought about this case today for some strange reason.
You guys need to come up with a way to get more hits on this site. The conviction was just wrong. Very odd that the x won't speak out.
