Harvest by Neil Young was my first LP and Closing Time was my second in the late 70's. Boy did i give them a flogging. Thankfully i got to see both of them in Australia in the mid 80's.

after an absence of nigh on 15 year im revisiting this sublime album (my copy got nicked along with the rest of my stuff when me and my long term girlfriend split up and i was living in my van). i think im now strong enough to handle the intense emotion that it manages to evoke in me without collapsin in a pathetic heap. for all u people out there with a modicum of soul and who know the bittersweet pain of loss this has to be one of the greatest collection of ballads i know of. listen n let go
