I was a bari sax player for many years in school and I would get my friends sousaphone mouthpiece and put it on my sax. It would just slide inside of the bari sax neck piece. he was a nerd and would only let me see if for a few seconds but it had a lot of potential. imagine all the notes of the sax plus using your embouchure. I think using the sax mouthpiece on brass has a limited range.
@scomo115 Cool stuff - no doubt I will end up trying some similar ideas! Cool sounds - I wonder how they could be best put to use! It could sound gimmicky or contrived... maybe best let someone else try first.. I will stick to jazz :)

This is almost where the saxophone started in the first place: adding a bass clarinet mouthpiece to an Ophicleide.

So you've made a piston valve sarrusophone

I have done this and many other conbinations while at a band camp.
Alto sax mouthpiece on a Euphonium works relatively the same.
a flute head joint on an alto neck and body works.
alto sax mouthpiece on a trumpet or trombone works as well.
we didnt have a camera with us so a video would be awesome.
