He should of had wrestlers her. She made it to the top for a reason.. and that was because she was just on they're level or even higher. Most wrestling programs don't have a girls wrestling team so she takes the training just like any other male wrestler.

Far too often girls/women are not allowed to compete because they simply lack the support structure of a 'female' team but at least they can no longer keep girls out of "boys" sports because of it since its been taken out of the hands of insecure men at the local school level.

This is such bullshit! It seems we're OK with letting girls compete with boys in wrestling - but NOT OK with the results either way - Bizarre! This is a competative sport and everyone is in it to compete on equal terms so the "Lose / Lose" scenario is not relevant. Girls are often stronger than boys in adolesence so these days it ought to be possible for a boy to lose a physical sporting contest to a girl without being ridiculed. Why can't people handle reality???

They can't loaf at home and tell Ma...."i did all my homework","the teacher didn't give any", or screw around in "class" IF THEIR PARENTS are the teacher. In today's schools alot of kids look at it as a interupting of their oh so important social calendar or playing Call of Duty on xbox.

Teachers such as myself with over 200 students would love to be able to work with every one of our children individually as long as it took to get them to understand the concepts they are learning, but the reality is that while we can try as hard as we might the fact that we have so many students we are responsible for our 1 on 1 time has to be shared.

I wrestled 4 years in high school and there were a couple of guys on my team that knew only one effort and that was all-out 100%. I pitied the poor SOB's that had to wrestle them. Men have more muscle mass and greater levels of physical endurance and women actually are more delicate than men. The male brain is surrounded by more cerebrospinal fluid which makes it less prone to injury. It simply is not a level playing field and regardless of gender it is not sportsman like to attack someone who is at a disadvantage (this is why we have weight classes).

I absolutely agree with Ben. The girl is there to compete in a wrestling match; she entered the competition fully knowing that she will be competing against guys. The guy wrestler has every right to choose not to wrestle her, but his excuse for not doing so is invalid in this situation because the girl knew what she was getting herself into. If he wins then great; the girl had to achieve something to get there, and thus would've have been a respectable opponent. If he loss, then get over it.
The women comments that she is not ok with the homeschooling...Why, lots of people are homeschool for both religious and non religious reasons. I think that both of these people are being very intolerant. The boy chose not to wrestle the girl. That is a choice that he has the right to make. If it were a girl not wanting to participate in something with a boy I think that people would have a very different take on it.

Men are physically stronger (muscle wise), and are better at logical thinking, on average, where as, women may not have muscular strength, but they generally outlive men. Women are also more compassionate and empathetic. - it doesn't make one "better" than the other, it just means men and women have DIFFERENT strengths and weaknesses.

He should of had wrestlers her. She made it to the top for a reason.. and that was because she was just on they're level or even higher. Most wrestling programs don't have a girls wrestling team so she takes the training just like any other male wrestler.

This is such bullshit! It seems we're OK with letting girls compete with boys in wrestling - but NOT OK with the results either way - Bizarre! This is a competative sport and everyone is in it to compete on equal terms so the "Lose / Lose" scenario is not relevant. Girls are often stronger than boys in adolesence so these days it ought to be possible for a boy to lose a physical sporting contest to a girl without being ridiculed. Why can't people handle reality???

Teachers such as myself with over 200 students would love to be able to work with every one of our children individually as long as it took to get them to understand the concepts they are learning, but the reality is that while we can try as hard as we might the fact that we have so many students we are responsible for our 1 on 1 time has to be shared.

I wrestled 4 years in high school and there were a couple of guys on my team that knew only one effort and that was all-out 100%. I pitied the poor SOB's that had to wrestle them. They would rip their opponent's tights, dislocate bones and smash noses. They would have likely seriously injured any female athlete in a match against them.

Men have more muscle mass and greater levels of physical endurance and women actually are more delicate than men. The male brain is surrounded by more cerebrospinal fluid which makes it less prone to injury. It simply is not a level playing field and regardless of gender it is not sportsman like to attack someone who is at a disadvantage (this is why we have weight classes).

I absolutely agree with Ben. The girl is there to compete in a wrestling match; she entered the competition fully knowing that she will be competing against guys. The guy wrestler has every right to choose not to wrestle her, but his excuse for not doing so is invalid in this situation because the girl knew what she was getting herself into. If he wins then great; the girl had to achieve something to get there, and thus would've have been a respectable opponent. If he loss, then get over it.

I agree 100% with the boy for choosing to not wrestle her because of religious beliefs...and it doesn't even necessarily have anything to do with "not wanting to win/lose to a girl". When I was a teen, there is no way I could have that much bodily contact with a girl and NOT get an erection...I'm not even trying to be vulger or funny, but lets face it, at that age, boys are full of hormones.
Also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with homeschooling.

He mentions his faith in passing as he does with his conscience. Is he overly conscientious too? He doesn't think it is morally acceptable for a guy to get violent with a girl. He is saying that he does not believe that men should fight women. And considering men on average are about 40% stronger than women, he has a point. He in fact said that he has great respect for those girls who were in that tournament, If he was sexist he wouldnt respect them So you are still wrong.

@SubjectiveInstant Nobody said anything about women being "utterly hopeless," but men and women ARE physically and mentally different, that is just a fact of life. Men are physically stronger (muscle wise), and are better at logical thinking, on average, where as, women may not have muscular strength, but they generally outlive men. Women are also more compassionate and empathetic. - it doesn't make one "better" than the other, it just means men and women have DIFFERENT strengths and weaknesses.

I know when I was that age, all a girl needed to do was brush up against me, and I was standing at 'attention'...I couldn't imagine wrestling a girl, at that age, and NOT getting a boner! Imagine how embarrassing that would be - and not only that, but the girl could claim "sexual harassment!"
