  • The video is great man,but the mono audio for your voice, is a pain in the ass, for us headphones users =/

  • @Caparzoshow Sorry about that. Yea this was recorded years ago and I messed up the audio on the VO and made it only mono. Glad you enjoyed it still. :)

  • first game: i like the whole power up system and hwo you get to keep it. i hate how in alot of shooter games if you die you go back to how you called it "suck mode" and had to restart from square one.

second game: i have seen shinobi on the shelves of blockbuster from time to time but i never got into it since i have ninja gaiden sigma 2 on my gamefly list i guess i should try out shinobi to

third game: i actually looked for this game a few eeks ago but couldnt find it

  • see this is what i love about this show. you get to see the footage. i mean i love my written reviews, but if i had to do video reviews. you also have a good voice for podcasts, but they wouldnt be as good as your video reviews i think

  • Dude, I am so going to hunt down a copy of Wild Guns.

  • I'm glad to still own most of the games you review.

Keep it up,nothing like feeling nostalgic all over again\m/

  • god hand sounds fun it a bet them up game that you can make your own mix of move there some things about it i don't like like the the gay jokes in the game , bad dud but some of the boss are all some so i my or my not play it. I think you should play Spawn for the snes it has one of if not the best looks on snes . it a great 2d bet them up and has the most moves for any game ever made ( this is for a one play bet them up ). people say it hard but it easy when you get the right move down. try it

  • BS man Shinobi is the hardest dame game i have ever play. you don't get it do you just get lucky. even if you can kill like 16 bad guy at one time you still have your hand full what the god moding boss and next to unplay able levels. It also to dame long.

  • If Shinobi is the hardest game you've ever played, I would suggest you play more games. While Shinobi can be hard at times, it's far from impossible. I'm no master of video games I and have beaten the game. The game doesn't hand you everything. You have to work for it. Bosses and enemies have patterns to learn. I tire of hearing people whine about difficulty in games when they are truly beatable. And the game is bad for being long? That's a new one. Have fun paying $60 for two levels.

  • I have play alot of game but for me shinobi is the hardest. I'm not saying the game is Impossible just way hard .

the game being long is bad because if it was a little shorter i could play it all the way to the end in a short time and not feel the game is overly hard. then it would be replay able but because it so long you can't make it to the end

in a few plays. the game is fun but not as good as it could be because of this.

by the way i my have it out for shinobi but i do love your show.

  • I would encourage you to play a game called God Hand. Now that is a hard game.

The game is difficult, but that's what part of the fun is. Beating a challenging level or boss. As far as length goes, wouldn't a longer length give it greater replay value?

What stage did you get to before you stopped? Although we may disagree on these points, I'm glad you brought them up. I think an open discussion helps to refine a review and even bring up valid points and I'm always open to a good debate. :)

  • rigth now i not play any game and i do like long game i am a rpg hore . but shinobi should have been short becouse the game play is fun but after some time you just don't want to play it more befor you bit it. the game play for shinobi is really fun just not for to long. I think i got to 9 or 10 the one that has no floor and the only way to play is to move on the wall and air attack . that and the buttfly boss made me stop want to play it.

  • No matter how many Shinobi reviews I see, all of them seem to overlook the posessed sword part where if you don't kill enemies fast enough, you die.

  • uhhh stay away from using the word jap buddy

  • I agree, and our friend across the pond don't appreciate it either. However Youtube defines racists as a protected group, so I'm afraid we're stuck with these kinds of slurs.

  • Are you honestly getting bent out of shape over the word Jap? It wasn't meant as a racist comment. It was used when commenting on the pronunciation of words. I'm not a racist and have never been. It's a video game review show folks, no need to get all serious and political.

  • just ignore them. Its youtube for godsakes

  • Good point. :)

  • That space shooter reminds me of Omega Wing [Capcom], was there ever a console version of that? Ive only seen it in a Arcade once

  • Shinobi. Video game sadism at its worst -_-

  • absolutely, I'd much rather save children, like in the original.

  • Really? I personally enjoyed the game very much. It played like a dream and was fun. Though Shinobi 3 on the Genesis is still my favorite in the series, this is one of the top sequels. What was it about the game that you didn't like?

  • My comment should have said it all, but I guess I have to elaborate. The game was so difficult once you got past the first and second world, that It felt like the devs made it like that just to be sadistic. The bosses especially. The moth comes to mind. I always die just because I'm unable to get a tate on her and three of the other moths. You have to move so fast, otherwise the kill counter will reset, making it damn near impossible to do.

  • I beat the game and I'm certainly not the best Shinobi player out there. It was a difficult game at times, but a game being difficult isn't necessarily a bad thing. Now if it was difficult artificially due to poor control or bad camera, then I'd understand. Do you expect to beat the bosses the first time around? It takes a few times to learn the patterns and strategies of each boss. Then you can beat them. The game is nowhere near impossible IMO. It just takes a little dedication to get through.

  • Dreamcast rocks

  • Does anybody know the name of the NES game in the intro after the Metal Gear Solid image?

  • The game in question is called S.C.A.T. and it came out for the NES many years ago. It is a side-scrolling shooter designed by Natsume. Really fun game and can be played co-op with a friend. I know you can find it on ebay and maybe around your town at a local pawn shop.

  • Nice review, dude.

  • Just to let you all know, episode 5 of Substance TV will be out tonight! Keep your eyes peeled.

  • Now what? Ikaruga music?

  • I'm not sure how I "insulted" the intelligence of anyone. Please provide proof before you make blatant accusations. I have a very wide spectrum of games. This is just a small portion of the games I own. I just have high standards when it comes to video games.

  • Again, I heard "techno"! And you're insulting my intelligence with your techno lovin narrow spectrum of games. But the review of Duck Hunt 64 was very slick!

  • Oh close, but actually it was the import Swedish version known officially as "Dien Duckin Hunter: Slincenger et Bullet Heaven Love Fighting 64". Techno music is my favorite, right up there with the sound of a belt sander on my groin.

  • Meis ein stein ets zeis! Praise to the belt sander! Good songs on their first album.

  • Again Nice Video

    I Like All The Games.

  • Yeah, I was thinking Wild Guns was very Cabal looking myself. I'll have to check it out! I'm glad to see another lover of the the PS2 Shinobi too... that game rocks hard! Mars Matrix looks awesome too, I wish my DreamCast would stop freezing up on every game now :/ Good stuff man!

  • I think Wild Guns is a more of a hybrid of Cabal and Sunset Riders mixture. Anyways WildGuns was one of those sleeper games that most gamers do not know about however Luckily there is emulation for those who missed it.

  • Yea, that's a pretty good example. It's sad the game wasn't more well known. Hey, who knowns, maybe Wii owners wil one day see the game on the Virtual Console. Thanks for watching!

  • wow, this is a really great show. I can't stop watching it.

  • Awesome man NOW this is what G4 should be like.

  • Great reviews jedahdoma, you just keep getting better and better, I'm hooked on your show.

  • Thanks for the kind comments. I'm working on the third show as we speak. Starting with the third show everything should have a new standard look that I think you will all enjoy.

  • Awesome as always. Hey have you ever played Cannon Spike for DC? If you could I would like to see your review on it.

  • Yep, I've got Cannon Spike. Pretty cool little game. I'll make sure to put it in one of my next reviews. Thanks for the comments.

  • double post, but I think Mars Matrix was the game I PM'ed you about; looks great.

    To eBay!

  • Great review man, keep up the good work!

  • Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the show.
