A traditional church I belong to recognises that some people do have deep seated feelings and attractions for the same sex, but that God can provide help and grace.

prayer, fasting, good deeds, doing the right thing in life etc...are sources of healing. one should open their heart to God, and the Great Friend will assist.

So don't worry about your feelings emotions, that is not important.

I am sorry but you need to actually read the Bible from cover to cover. You quoted one verse out of Leviticus. Do you know who Leviticus was written for? It was written for the children of Isreal. Who might that be? The Jews. And I am sure it would shock you if you read further in Leviticus and saw what other things were said in there. What GCN does NOT do, is perpetuate the myth that ex-gay programs that aim to "turn" someone gay into straight actually work. The state of being gay isn't a "lifestyle." Take you for example, If you're not married and a virgin, you're still "straight" because you're attracted to men. You're not living any "straight sexual lifestyle" but your default orientation is straight. GCN helps Christians with the gay orientation, many of whom are children or teens who grew up in Christianity.

The Gay Christian Network is doing great work. They consist of Side A (gay-affirming) and Side B (choosing celibacy) Christians, allowing discourse of both viewpoints. Their main focus is helping those Christians who feel like they have nowhere to turn. Lastly, you seem to have misunderstandings of sexuality. If you're interested i can explain why people are neither born straight/gay/bi nor do they choose to be straight/gay/bi (hint: puberty).

I think you need to delve into GCN a little deeper. They do not support or denounce the gay lifestyle. They are there to help Christians who have this problem of being gay (and no, it most absolutely is NOT a choice, why would anyone CHOOSE a life of emotional turmoil, hiding secrets, and fear for alienation?). Sex is biological, it's hormones, you can control yourself, but you're always going to want.

Actually, anytime you use a scripture from the Old Testament, you have to look at how it applies now. Leviticus never says it's a sin to be gay. It says it is a sin to have sex with a man. There's a difference. But that's besides the point. Levitcus also condems, things like shaving and haircuts, wearing mixed fabrics, planting different crops in the same field, and other ridiculous things. So if you are going to take the Bible that literally, you must obey these rules as well.

In GCN website,if u looked carefully in the menu "info & ideas" > "about gcn" under "The Great Debate" there are essays about what you addressed in this video and about the 2 main sides of GCN: SideA (gay marriage) & SideB (gay celibacy). The SideB people agree with you about gay relationships being sinful, while SideA people believe that God does bless gay marriage. Gay christians come from a variety of religious backgrounds. Want to understand us... try listening to some videos about what we believe. Let God open your heart. For example, you probably think there are only two genders... male and female; xy and xx chromosome people and there are 30+ variations. If you start with God nit some people in the womb to not meet the gender rules most people think of... maybe you can understand some day that gay is not an action first, it is a state of being.

In created these only two genders he made it so that they could mate and reproduce. I believe that homosexuality is a spirit and that spirit can be cast out. Gospel Singer Donnie McClurkin is a perfect example of that. No one was born homosexual and even if they were, the Bible says that you must be born again.

@LatteSpeaks Well, In regards to you video... we don't come to him free of our sin... Jesus comes to us while yet in our sin. When God created Adam/Eve, he also created everyone else at the same time, they were the seed that contained all of us other seeds. People don't create babies, God did, people just procreate. Being born again is a spiritual birth not a physical birth... that only gets done once. But I'm sure that God is starting a spiritual work in you to open your spiritual ears to hear.

It's easy to tell people to be born again when you do not have their urges. You like men. You cannot change that, just like gays can't change having feelings for people of the same sex, they can, however, choose to be virgins their whole lives for God...but that's a bit much to ask of a lot of people.
