just use solar to charge up the electricity, whenever its just sitting in ur backyard, or maybe they'll develope the roof top so it can generate solar power by itself, whenever ur at work it'll and its just sitting in the parking lot it'll charge it self up
For the electric version, a solution to the recharging time problem would be for gas stations to carry ready charged batteries which the driver would pay for (electricity + service cost)and then swap their used up battery with a fully charged battery and then be on their way. This would also be faster than pumping gas.
Errr...that would take a long time. The weight of the battery in this case although lightweight will still weigh as much as a small adult. It would take around 30 minutes from start to finish, which will build a massive que. This would only be possible in the future when battery technology is far more compact, and more efficient.
That's not necessarily true. The battery banlk of the car can be made to be easily removeable by one person within minutes, and the station could have a vast amount of them already charged. Then the car's owner could pay a fee for the right to use the battery banks available in the stations across the cities or roads. This way, electric vehicles could travel hundreds of miles without stopping all night to charge electricity.
There're more problems. Obviously the depleted battery will be reused, likely at that gas station. One would have to have a quick way to gauge the value of the battery (how old it is, how well it holds the charge, if it's damaged) which is a big problem IMO. Also, batteries weighing that much would be difficult and costly to ship. Then there's the loading/unloading which would likely use heavy loading equipment to shift the heavy batteries which poses safety issues.
