@happyending3000 Thank you. And you're right, a .44 is a little much, it was fun to try but I won't be purchasing one any time soon as there are other handguns that are more useful for me. My standard carry piece for now is Glock 19, until I get my custom 1911.
Ive always found an assertive shooting stance to be the best for dealing with recoil, but to hell with it, peoples ragged enough about it. Enjoyed your video. best one on the blackhawk ive seen yet. That is a strange accent you got there, where'd you get it? Next vid get one of them ten gallon hats. Im subscribing, so don't disappoint:P.
I was born in Russia, so it's a Russian accent. As for stance, yes, I know. I was taught by idiots. My bf now was Army ranger, so he is teaching me how to shoot properly. And no 10 gallon hats for me, they would look odd in MO
She needs to lean forward. and needs to get her finger out of the triger gaurd when pulling the hammer back! Other wise nice gun and glad she shoots with you..
She seems to be handling the revolver okay. It is a bit much for her, but she pulled it off. Question: Why do many women arch there back when shooting?
It's a reflex from my violin playing days. Plus, up to right now I was not being taught properly how to shoot a firearm. My bf who was an Army Ranger has to now undo the damage that my idiot ex who knew nothing about shooting did.
you can load the 44 down lots more, My 44 is like a pop gun with 5 gr of sporting clays. she is HOT, I love the mid-drift. Make more videos ;o) your doing great!
@SpitfireShura i see... i enjoy learning new things about russia when i get the opportunity to, even have a few russians guns myself... though im reverting more towards the american firearms now
i love how she starts talking in Russian at the end... lol.... although i didn't catch all of it, it sounded mean! lol... but great job handling the weapon! me personally, i give a firm grip on the handle and let he whole gun go up and not back, as much as possible... this way you can come and rest your crosshairs back down on the target naturally instead of fighting th recoil... but great job none the less...
Great Seeing A girl Getting into the Shooting Sports here on youtube.. One of my best Friends is a 5 foot tall 90 pound female and she has been shooting since she was young.. Best of luck in future Straight Shooting..
a vampire in sunlight?!........i'm not positive she said, "...super black HAWK." maybe the accent. j.k. great vid. u got a new fan. russian(transylvania i say) or not.
I know i see so many people shoot large guns in high calibers leaning back . You are off balance you need to lean forward into it and it won't be bad at all even for the lightest shooters. Soft lead round nose 180 grain 44 special target loads are best for low recoil in fact you go down to 44 special its not any more than most 45 auto's
ya know, most of us think it would be nice to have more women around the shooting range. We could also use all the new shooters we can get to help us oppose further gun control.... women are our best bet for that. Many love to come out and shoot.
What keeps so many of them from doing so even if they're interested? Morons like you. On behalf of gun owners everywhere... please turn into a liberal limp-wrist and inflict yourself on that side of the argument, thanks!
These rednecks are behaving like shooting a 44cal. revolver is like rocket science, and adding shauvinism to boot. Just shoot the damn gun, and stop bein melodramadic about, hehe=)
Look's like someone afraid of shooting the gun. That or was leaning back to counter to weight of the gun. I hope she had ear plugs. I have a 7.5 blackhawk hunter and have yet to have my wife shoot it. She's a little heathier than this lady.
The load was a 240 grain cast bullet on top of 10 grains of unique, maybe 10.5 grains depending on what I had out there that particular day. She was just trying it out for the first time and was a bit nervous about it, she's learning though! I've seen men who outweigh her 3 to 1 handle a 44 magnum much worse.
Why was I leaning back? I dunno why, it's silly because I know better, but still did it. I am getting better about making sure that I lean forward now that I shoot. And I left the joy of playing with this .44 to my fiance. Instead, I confiscate his .45 Kimber Custom II and play with that
Sorry missed your comment long ago. We had to learn one hand shooting with full loads .38 S & W revolvers, in the British Army. Anybody caught leaning backwards get a hard whack by a thick cane, not on the backside, but on the head and we were not wearing helmets during training. I hope you also posted a vid with your .45 Kimber.
i own one of these guns too, and can attest to its difficulty to control due to its MASSIVE recoil. one thing this girl needs to learn is to not be afraid of the gun and actually lean into it. leaning back like she is will only hurt her ability to aim.
At least someone taught her to use the weak hand to pull the hammer back, but someone needs to teach her to lean forward. It bugs me when I watch videos of people shooting and it looks like they are trying to pull off some crazy shooting a gun while trying to do the limbo combination.
i dont get wen ppl shoot guns they lean back. i was tought (and trained) to lean forward at the target. i've used an AR-15, M16A1, H&K USP .45, S&W .357, and 12 Gage Shotgun. not to mention an array of .22's
You did quite well. .44 special or .44 mag is too much for many men to handle. I don't like shooting them. I stay with .357. But I like your spunk.

You can always load a 44 Mag down from the loads you were shooting there.

@happyending3000 .44 Special factory loads aren't too bad, though.
John234pwns 4 weeks ago
No offence but a proper stance would help a little.
lament383 6 months ago
A Blackhawk will push you around a bit.
I don't know what she is referring to when she say "Light Loads" but any ,44 Mag load is a handful.
Good to see women in the sport.
Don't make her clean the gun.

Not bad considering that revolver weighs more than she does....which is perplexing considering they had McDonalds for lunch...?
good job

What are you pushing for reloads? Personally I love the hornady XTP 180gr. You can push them upwards of 1700 fps and they fly perfect everytime.

I have to admit this video inspires a comment to the liking of "Im always looking for a girl that can handle my LOAD"
67152 3 years ago
I presume the load is really LOW. With regular load & recoil, she would fall after leaning back so far & her elbows were not LOCKED.

Definitely needs a smaller frame gun.
Even in a heavy recoil handgun a frame that fits your hand will feel better shooting than one that's to big or to small.
I've got pretty big hands and a blackhawk fits just right. One reason I don't like shooting smith&wessons they're to small without aftermarket grips.
Anubis78250 3 years ago
