  • You're great! Thank you so much for making this video. I see a lot of videos that don't show how long to dip the brush in the acrylic (I used to scoop too much) forget the haters! Thank you so much! Because I dont see them making videos. <3

  • Yes! I found this very helpful. Thanks. You do a great nail job and make it easy to understand.

  • @KittyPreciousMeow You know, I honestly feel like I sound weird in this video...LOL

  • where do you buy this stuff at

  • @happybunnygirl12 Sally's

  • ur hands not wrinkly :),perfect tutorial

  • @jawanasai Haha! Thanx :o)

  • Thank you so much for this! I hope the "haters" don't get to you, lol ;)

I hope this question hasn't been asked too much (I don't want to annoy you) but, I was curious on what drill you use. Thank you again!

  • @sandpapered You're welcome! I actually don't use the drill that I used in this video any longer. I have I video describing the new drill that I use when I now choose to do my nails. Let me know if you have any more questions :o)

  • Thanks. I'm just learning myself and I discovered that I used a lot of monomer too. LOL

  • @GettingNailed I think it happens to the best of us :o) I did when I first started, now that doesn't happen. A lot of it has to do with the brush as well.

  • I have wrinkly, long fingers too! LOL

  • Hi :-)

Very good tutorial, might i add :-) i also taught myself on how to do my own infills after 3 years of going to the nail salon. I now to all my family and friends.

Very good finish to the nails

    Wel done.

    ;-)

  • hiya I was just wondering ( i just qualified in acrylic nails) and my clients often ask me what the maximum time is they can keep them on. I normally advise about 2 to 3 months and then a 3 to 4 week rest , but i do see people with overlays on their natural nails have them permanently? how damaging is this exactly and is it possible to have them years without a break? hope u can help me cheers babe x

  • I picture you rolling your eyes with all the little notes you have to include becase stupid people pick at people about EVERYTHING. Thank you for showing me how to do a fill.

  • Like you said your'e not a proffesional NailTech,,but you do an awesome job girl! BTW where did you purchased your'e nail drill? it is to expensive for me to keep on going to the nail salon :/

  • How many layers do you suppose to put? is it until you fill it out? && trust me you are not the only one who's messy when it comes to this lol when I used to do my nails I was the same way lol

  • Hiya=== don't forget to put an antibacterial prep for your nails when you start, don't let the primer touch your skin, and also don't wash your nails with the liquid, it's not good for the nails. Just dip once, get your ball of acrylic and use only the liquid in the brush. Your nails look lovely! : ))

  • You are cute as a button. Cant believe you can do this yourself... PROPS to you. My left hand would look great but my right would end up a mess. Awesome job.

  • Wow! love the vid! very informational, I'm going to try this soon! did you get the drill and etc..from a beauty store?

  • Haha there seem to be a lot of haters on here! Great video, you explained it so well 8)

  • thank you soo much for this !!!

  • A+ for effort, but there are a lot of things that you don't understand about artificial nails and overlays. I can say this because I am a licensed nail technician. Good job on your nails but please learn the safety precautions. It may not harm you now but it will with longterm use. Hopefully, u will obtain nail tech training and get a license.

  • if you want to take the acrylic off compleatly do you just use acitone??

  • thnx a lot girl for dis tutorial i did my nails my self nd d refilling. ur a rock star. XOXO

  • I kinda have a silly question ;x

I normally go to the salon to have them done but it seems cheaper to do it myself and I think I can handle it. So I need to do a fill and was wondering how you do it if you want the white tip? I am guess i just need to suck it up and paint on the white (usually at the salon they airbrush it) but I was wondering if you could do a vid for french acrylic without a tip. I subed btw :D

  • @PANdORAxSM9: Only an un-asked question is silly :o) I normally just use white nail polish and clean up the smile line with a small makeup brush from target that I use only for that purpose. I will put that on my list of videos to make though. I'm actually trying out doing Pink & White acrylics tomorrow. Probably won't be video taping because I want to do them once first before that. But If successful (which I'm sure it will be) I'll make a video of how to do them. Thanx for the request!

  • sorry. i am profecional for teh nails. there is the incorrekct aplication for nails:S

  • @cheetahHkR: I state at the beginning of my video that I am not a professional and no where did I claim that how I do my nails is the absolute CORRECT way. However, professionalism is not evident in your comment (spell check?). But thank you :o)

  • if you are a professional, then why did you even watch this video? and if you are a professional why dont you just make your own videos instead of watching others??

  • @cheetahHkR good this your writing is sooooo professional

  • @DANiKKA310: I'm glad I could help Hun :o)

  • how much was your acrylic ?

  • @NaturallyJJ: I honestly don't remember the exact price, all I know is that they were on sale. I want to say $11.99 or less at Sally's.

  • Great vid! You speak so eloquently and sure of yourself, I actually enjoyed watching. So many other chicks out there sound sooo painfully awkward in tutorials.

  • @inoculate: Thank you! I listen to it and cringe though...LoL...something about hearing your voice on playback is weird.. :o)

  • Do you have to use a drill or is it okay to just use a buffer?

  • @AHex33: you can use either, before I stopped doing them, I had taken to using my nail file just because it was always handy (and didn't need batteries) :o)

  • love it, do ya thang ms lady

  • U DO UR THANG GIRL. GREAT VIDEO

  • no no no please go to a pro for this. liquid on the skin is a big NO .You asking for a allergic reactions. Its not oke like you say

  • @Deaniella: Thank you for your concern...please see the "NOTE" I added to the video. :o)

  • wow girl, your amazing! do you use fake tips, or are those your real nail? you definatly helped me out a lot! thank you so much! :o)

  • @kelsey: I used fake tips...I can't wait for the day my real nails get that long :o) I'm glad I could help!

  • u make it look so easy!..but it looks great

  • what a nice video - one of the BEST i've seen on acrylic application. i love tutorials without all the obnoxious music. talk me through it folks like cheapiscute!!!! lovely design on the end. you're sweet!

  • @mariacns00: Thank you! I appreciate it :o)

  • This is one of the best videos that i have seen on how to fill your nails! Thanks

  • You're using way too much acrylic liquid, you may end up with lots and lots of allergic reactions... just a tip.

    Ciao!

  • @LilipiliCo: I have "fine tuned" my technique since making this video. Thanx for the advice though!

PS: However, I don't know about lots and lots of allergic reactions...definitely only if you have an allergy to that substance would you have an (as in singular not plural) allergic reaction.

  • I just love this video..I wish you could do my nails..I need a fill-in now..lol

  • I loved this video..I'm definitely going to subscribe...I'm tired of paying all that money to get my nails done..when they lift in a week

  • @ladyquest2004: Girl, I've seen all your other comments on my videos and thank you for the luv! Now you see why I started doing them myself in the first place :o)

  • Awesome video! Your nails are beautiful. I just started doing my own nails and will be ready to fill them in a few days - I am SO glad I found your tutorial! Thanks :)

  • @mspidera: You're welcome! Tell me how it goes :o)

  • you did a really good job, looks professional.

  • @nnekiwi: Thank you!

  • for quick fixes, what i tend to do is when the nail is just looking a bit scruffy near the cuticul is just paint the nails a colour to hide it, works quite well :)

  • With all of the supplies how much total

  • @sarahissassy: I think I "guesstimate" the cost of all my products on the end of my Smokey on the Go Pt. 2 video. But for the sake of throwing another amount out there because I don't remember the exact...about $70. But remember....all those products do X number of nails! (I say X because I can't tell you how many times I did my acrylics and I still have tons of product left) Hope that helps! :o)

  • I buy mine at Sally's Beauty. With my Sally's Card...they work out to 3.25 a piece

  • when a nail breaks and your about a week away from a fill, what do you do in the mean time? do you just go ahead and rebuild the nail or wait? Also, are there any quick fixes to do in the mean time?

  • It depends on my mood...if I feel like fixing the whole nail right away, I will...but If I don't I'll wait. There really are not quick fixes. I just file the nail down in the mean time so it doesn't snag anything if I decide to wait. Hope that helps! :o)

  • music in the beginning is hott :)

  • Thanx! :o)

  • this is the best acrylic tutorial I've seen. I saw a TRIM nail drill at Wal-Mart for under $8 bucks. I wonder how that works???

  • For $8...I wonder how it works myself! Let me know if you buy it!

  • i have that nail drill and for me it works

  • @RicanPrincezz410: I'm going to have to tell my cousin about that..she's been looking for something relatively cheap. If it's good..that would be right up her alley. Thank you!

  • Hi...where did u buy ur drill?>

  • @SSBBWEXPRESSIONS: I bought it from Sally's...the cheapest one they had :o)

  • Great video! Are you going to do a tutorial on applying a full set? Also, how would you rate the Kiss brand items? I think that would be ideal for me to start with. Also, I read some of the comments in your other videos, and I just wanted to remind you that ignorance is bliss and if someone does not like something that you do they can kick rocks because they don't have to watch. Anyway keep doing what you are doing and anyone who doesn't likke it can kisk rocks with sandals on...lol

  • @MsJDG: If I do a tutorial on a full set it won't be anytime soon because I haven't worn acrylics in a LONG time...but So many people have asked me that when I get a break from work, I might have to just go ahead and do it..lol. I would recommend the Kiss items for you if you're starting out. I used them and they were fine. And girl...I know there are some very ignorant people out there...I just kill em with a smile :o)

  • this video was very helpful can u post a video showing how u do some of ur designs and just do different parts liek part 1,2 and so on

  • @tanene97: That can be something I'll do for future videos. I actually dont wear acrylics anymore just because I've been focusing on the health of my natural nails. But I do designs on my natural nail so I'll get something out there :o)

  • Your so awesome!! This was cute

  • this was a very good video. i used to do my nails in the past but they would always pop off or lift up in places after only a few days. Mine never lasted 2 weeks :(

I am going to try again now.

  • @Babyqs4: If you already did it again cuz I'm so late in answering you...were you able to wear then longer?

  • I haven't watched all of your videos yes so I apologise if I'm giving you information you already have. I'm a nail tech. in Canada...if you have a problem with your acrylics turning yellow or not being able to take the polish off...after you're finished applying the acrylic apply a Gel Sealant and it will not change color and it will allow you to apply and change your polish colors. :)

  • hey i have a question. i want to do my own nails but the thing is i don't know if i should get those kits like the kiss and the sally one. which one do you recommend because i've done them with it and the nails dont last long even though i just want them to grow out my natural nail. another thing how do you avoid the brush to get hard, because when i did my nails a long time ago the brush got really hard and it did my nails horrible after the first one-- this was using the sally kit. thank you!

  • @dominican4eva: If you are just starting out, I would get the Kiss Kit to see what it's like. Once you get the hang of it, then you can buy the seperate products. For your other question, the brush gets "hard" because there is still acrylic left on it when you finish doing your nails. Once you finish completely, place your brush in the acrylic liquid (not in the bottle) and let it soak. then place it on a napkin and "press out" the acrylic until it all is gone. Hope that helps! :o)

  • thanx soooo much!!! im going to be doing this in the summer and you helped me out BIG TIME[:

  • @mariko456: You're SOOoOoO Welcome! If you've done them already, I hoped the turned out nice :o)

  • Hey I love your videos. You've inspired me to do my own nails =] What brushes do you use?

  • @yellowflamedancer: I use whatever brush will do the job! If you go and buy actual acrylic brushes (I've only ever bought one)..you will normally pay an arm and a leg. I would advise you to go and look in sally's at an acrylic brush...then go to Wal-mart or some other inexpensive store with paint brushes and get a similar type brush. I can't tell you a brand because I used anything that worked for me, even $2 makeup brushes @ Target! Hope that helped! :o)

  • This is the best acrilic video yet. Thanks for the tips. Good job.

  • @autismmom1: Thank you :o)

  • ive been doing my own nails too and i really like it and its a lot cheaper lol..but i got a question what if u dont have the drill....im thinkin about buying one tho any suggestions?

  • Hey! It is SO much cheaper than going to the salon...but to answer your question, I bought the Supernail Deluxe Manicure Machine "drill" from Sally's when I first decided to do my nails. It was the cheapest @ $19.99 at the time, but it is now $23.99 as per their website. It's not the "best" out there...but it works for me. If you'd like me to go into further detail about the pros and cons of it....just let me know. But that's all I've used, I may upgrade in the near future though... :o)

  • thanks for replying. funny thing is i was going through my drawer the other day and i foundone similar but its a reallllll chepo it works ok for now....

the only proplem i usually have is at the cuticle the acrylic nail always comes up :( so the nail doesent stay on for too long

  • I notice you use sally beauty acrylic products. My kiss nails kit I bought to do my own acrylics is running out and sally has the cheapest stuff. would you recommend the beauty secret liquid and powder or the asp aspire brand? thanks so much!

  • I tend to use ASP Aspire for my acrylic liquid and powder. I'm very pleased with their brand and have used it for a while now. For my Primer, I use the Beauty Secret Brand which works really well also. If you check out my "Smokey on the Go Part II" you'll be able to actually see what I use. Hope that helps :o)

  • You did an amazing job, you make me wanna do mines...but no I'm too scared.

  • Thank you :o) You shouldn't be scared though...when you do get up the courage, you should try it out and at least see if you like it...

  • How to get them to be so even and in shape? The thing with me is I can do my right hand, but I cant do my left.

  • Shaping them is pretty easy for me (I'll do a tut on that one of these days), but I have issues doing my right hand (using my left hand). I can only say that practice makes perfect and I was FAR from that when I first started :o)

  • omg thank you so much for making this video. i did my nails today following your tutorial and they look fabulous <3

  • You are SO welcome! I'm Glad I could help :o)

  • well done, thank you very much for showing us.

  • You're welcome...Glad I could help :o)

  • Great. Only suggestion is don't use pink for the text - sometimes I couldn't even read it. Great job, tho!

  • thanks for making this video...i definitely want to try doing my own nails

  • what kind of brush did you use? were did you get it? It looked a whole lot easier to use than the one I use LOL :)

  • It's a brush from Wal-Mart...check out my Wal-Mart Haul Video :o)

  • Thank you..that is cute....

  • So So Pretty!! Great vid!!
