The one ideot that didn't like the video was either a Muslim, or one of the bad protestants, I have to use the word bad to separate them from the individual protestants that are aware that Orthodox is the True and Original Christianity, as I personally know manny good Protestants that don't treat us like were just another denomination, although I have had my share with the ignorant ones that think we are idol worshipers.-lol.
In many ways we are already part of the body of Christ. As long as we love one another we are already in communion in Christ. We must continue to love each other as our Lord commanded.
Zarabbas, if they truly are not monophysites, I pray with you for the reunion of the churches. Hopefully the Copts will come back to the Eastern Orthodox Church. That way we may be one Orthodox again. Very nice pictures. Greetings from Greece. IC XC NIKA.
The Coptic orthodox church didnt seperate from the Eastern orthodox church. The Coptic orthodox church was founded by St.Mark and has its own patriach so how can the patriach of Alexandria and Constoniple be in charge of the same church? the Eastern church consists of two Orthodox churches - Oriental orthodox ( Coptic Orthodox, Syriac Orthodox, Ethiopian Orthodox, Eritrean Orthodox, Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (India) and Armenian Orthodox) and Eastern orthodox
Constantinople is only one of 15 local churches that make up the Eastern Orthodox Church. There was a split. The Eastern Orthodox have their own Pope of Alexandria who claims to be the successor of St. Mark.
But we share the same Orthodox faith. Keep praying and working for reunion.
So do the Greeks claim that both St.Andrew and St.Mark are the founders of the Greek Orthodox church then who do they think is the founder of the Coptic Orthodox church?? sorry it is a bit confusing
"Greek" refers to the Greek-speaking Eastern Roman Empire. In other languages, such as Arabic, the term Roman Orthodox is used. It's an umbrella term that refers to all the Eastern Patriarchates: Constantinople (St. Andrew), Alexandria (St. Mark), Antioch (St. Peter) and Jerusalem (St. James).
Following the deposition of Pope Dioscoros, the Chalcedonians and the non-Chalcedons elected two different successors. Therefore you now have two Popes of Alexandria, both claiming to be from St. Mark.
but arent the Copts the natives of Egypt so therefore The chalcedonians have placed a "Melkite" or Imperial Patriarh since it was the Patraich of Alexandria that has the see of St.Mark before the 451 AD schism. sorry its confusing
They are not monophysites because that means believing in one nature, the Copts beleive in two natures but united where the Greeks believe in two natures but are seperate, however the Eastern Orthodox are starting to look at it closely because all along they thought the Copts believed in one nature until they signed the common decleration between the two churches it was beleived because of the language barrier the other churches did not understand what the copts were trying to say.
Copts, believe in two natures "human" and "divine" that are united in one hypostasis "without mingling, without confusion, and without alteration". These two natures "did not separate for a moment or the twinkling of an eye" (Coptic Liturgy of Saint Basil of Caesarea).
The council of chalcedon taught that each of these natures, the human and the divine, was distinct and complete. This view is sometimes called Dyophysite (meaning two natures) by the Oriental Orthodox.
that is exactly what we belive we orthodox copts, the separation of our sister churches has no reason , this is absurd, this is due to a political conflict between egypt and the byzantine empire more than 1500 years ago, this separtion is absurd, may god bless the great greek orthodox church , and return constinopolis and cy prus to the greeks!
I liked the pictures, but wish they were labeled with which church each picture was taken.

We must all pray that the Coptic and Greek Churches once and for all forgive each other and understand that both see the same faith in Christ.
I go to both Greek and Coptic Orthodox Churches in hopes of communicating that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
I love the Coptics and I want all my Greek brethren to know that they are not Monophysites. Do much research and see for yourself.
In Christ, God bless all Orthodox Christians. Let us love one another as we once did.

"Greeks" do not believe in two separate natures, but two natures inseparately united in a single hypostasis.
