Al owes me 20 bucks! I'll never forget driving along a logging road way the hell and gone towards Cape Scott and coming across this hairy guy running the length of Vancouver Island. A running machine. I used to have contact with Al since I worked as a reporter and he was constantly running to support some charity or another and running was big.
He looks healthy enough..good to see him as I do often wonder if his knees are as screwed as mine for all the miles!!
I told him I was taking a picture of a house to the left of us, that I told him about, but actually I started a movie clip then held the camera down and to the side, still rolling.
He is very camera shy and I had to tread very carefully with old Al Howie!
I had to edit a lot so that if he did get to see it he would be happy enough.
You probably heard of Al, maybe you even saw him running in town,he was like I am now, but used to run way more.

Very interesting... More interview would have been more interesting... Did he know you had a camera going or was it concealed?
