this is so incredible what happened to chick endor ??? he was so incredible , did he die young ??? i wonder why he made so few recordings ??? he really was top notch thank you
As good as this song is, you should flip the record over and play it's "A" side. Here you will find one of the finest recordings from the 1920's. It is called "Good Little, Bad Little You", and it is one of the hottest jazz recordings and certainly the definitive version of the song!
This is a really wonderful recording.Thank you, whoever you are,for posting this.Balm for my old, somewhat time-worn,ears.Why is modern music so unharmonious?
Great song. I wish Chick Endor had made more recordings. I prefer his singing over Ruth Etting anyday. Etting always sings the second chorus of records in an improvised style that I find annoying... as if she couldn't way for swing music to come along.. which I find extremely annoying. If she sang her songs straight through (as she usually does on the first chorus) she would be fine...

@Cbake1joker1 Search them on google. You'll find that Billie Holliday sings this song with the very same lyrics.

One of my favorites is Lou Abelardo's rendition with Ambrose. I posted it as a Video Response, so I hope it "took".
