Lovely place. But the thing is places like this can't exist outside of an already working system. Basicly these people are living on others backs. Where do they get their electricity, fresh water, or medical care from? What about the materials for their bikes? And don't forget someone has to transport them. I don't know anything about Denmark other than what I've been exposed to by U.S. media and youtube. What is most interesting to me, however, is that this country pays for its citizens every need. Yet still, people fight for freedom to pay their own way and live their own lives in a place like Christiania. What this suggests, is that everything is not as grand as it is portrayed or Christiania is somehow filling a need that just isn't being met elsewhere.

Lovely place. But the thing is places like this can't exist outside of an already working system. Basicly these people are living on others backs. Where do they get their electricity, fresh water, or medical care from? What about the materials for their bikes? And don't forget someone has to transport them. I don't know anything about Denmark other than what I've been exposed to by U.S. media and youtube. What is most interesting to me, however, is that this country pays for its citizens every need. Yet still, people fight for freedom to pay their own way and live their own lives in a place like Christiania. What this suggests, is that everything is not as grand as it is portrayed or Christiania is somehow filling a need that just isn't being met elsewhere.

2. Danish healthcare is far from the best, and it is not free. It is paid through taxes, so technically it is not free. On the other hand, several people from Denmark are travelling to much better countries like the states or germany for proper treatments. Additionally, more and more people are dying on the waitinglines, in Denmark, while waiting for vital treatments such as treatments against cancer.

Danmark er et af de lande med den bedste velfærd, men det kan selvfølgelig ikke være perfekt!! Kriminalitet vil du finde i alle lande, så det er noget fis ikke at kunne anbefale at tage til danmark af de grunde du kommer med!

@Soffesen I don't deny it, and i agree with you - there should be done something about patients waiting or patients that doesn't even get access, but i am also saying that everything can't be perfect (not saying that is a small thing) and if you consider all the other things we get in denmark and all the rights we have - that is welfare!

@MegaKapser i understand your position, but you have to think of schools, healthcare and crime as a subject to the competitive economic system. Christinia is oppesed to this. The reason why healthcare is bad is because of the competitive money system that in fact controls the equipment, capacity and personel of the hospital. It should be human values that controls how we treat our sick people.
