What about all the crime and violence? I lived there as a teenager and still have many friends and family there. Some are leaving because of the crime. My own 90 year old godmother was kidnapped from her home and held hostage for 3 days. I wouldn't visit let alone buy property in Ecuador.

@Tearanew Sorry to hear about your godmother. In New York, a friend of mine was almost killed by, let say, a disagreeable racist person. My friends and I, thought about leaving this city but we decided to stay and just be aware of danger and be vigilant. By watching your videos, looks like you had fun in Ecuador, besides everybody knows that things are changing in Ecuador for the better.
