  • I used to own one most adorable and spectacular old english sheepdog, and her name is DREMA. My favorite kind of dog, favorite breed!

  • I have one sheepdog, he is so gentle,so sweet, loves to have visitors at home.

  • I have a sheepdog mix, this dog will put anything into it's mouth and chew it up. Hide everything that is small!

  • I love my OESD but she is not verrt smart lol.

  • I love my Sheepdog...he's the best !... just a big fluffy goof but obedient and everyone loves him !...he's 8.5 years and still going strong !

  • That was my first dog she lived to be 14 what a great dog. always walking by and trying to heard someone in the house

  • i like them, i love them, their pretty but you must to groom a lot and i don't like that every day... D:

  • my brother has a OES she is a very funny dog, though I cannot get over how strange they look without the tail

here in sweden it's illegal to cut the tail of a dog but whatever

  • @ApostelAvIngenting with them dogs do u have to do something to there fur

  • @babyblue6453 we shave her hair off now and then (most oftenly around summer time) and let it grow back out. otherwise you have to brush the hair every once in a while

  • @ApostelAvIngenting what if you what it to stand up

  • @babyblue6453 ...try hair gel?

  • lovely but would have liked to hear some of the down side, health probs and so

  • There is not a sweeter and gentler breed out there. Hands down these are the most kind-hearted dogs. PERIOD!

  • Oliver, our OES, is so cute, sweet, funny and smart. He is also calm around the strangers who want to pet him. People stop their cars and get out to pet him, or holler through the window, That is a magnificent dog! He will play with any size dog and is never agressive. He loves to sit on our laps, and he looks up at us when we walk him. Very responsive. We LOVE him!

  • the best dogs in the world, ever!

  • @stigoftheBump lol u wish

  • I just got an OES puppy, and she is everything that I could hope for in a companion and more!

  • @STangoFox You "took care of" this dog?...sounds like neglect if you, the human with a supposed brain, weren't cleaning up after the dog you watched. If you picked up the sh*t, & groomed the dog, there would be nothing to "walk in." Any breed of dog if left in a filthy area will have no choice but to walk in it if your home & yard is filthy. Mine doesn't slobber. When the fur is shorter, they will not salivate as much. Biggest mistake OES owners do is keeping 12 in. of fur - they overheat!

  • @zubery

I cleaned up after her immediately after she shat herself. I did give her multiple baths while she was staying.

The only time she was left to sit in whatever mess she made was if she did it overnight, as no one was at the clinic to clean it up.

  • Mine is aggressive !

  • These are the best dogs ever

  • I have 3 , 2 females and 1 male. They along with my cat are all asleep in my bed. I will be breeding them on the girls next heat. That is if it takes. They are so entertaining with each other. I had a male in 1979 who lived to 13 yrs. Animals are better then people,

  • I had one named Alf. I loved that dog.

  • OES's are wonderful with children.

  • I have a 2 yr old Old English and she's a blast to have. Best dog ever.

And yes, they are also called Bobtails.

  • i saw a fur coat made of one of those once

  • When I was little I spent a LOT of time with my mother's friends' OES, Sam. She was beyond amazing. My first best ever friend whom I'll never forget. She was just one big hairy bundle of love who followed me around everywhere and didn't have an aggressive atom on her body, at least not towards me. I couldn't get enough of her. I know Nanna from Peter Pan was a Landseer, but Sam always reminded me of her!

I still miss you Sam, RIP.

  • @rmephh you know nanna from peter pan was a newfoundland. sorry if that ruined the memeory for you not trying to be a smart aleck just saying

  • Yep I sure knew - a Landseer actually weren't she? Different breed, same big heart.

  • holyshit i want one xD

  • I have one *-*

  • Are they not called BOBTAIL?

  • They are not the most smart beed of dogs lol.

  • i beg to differ...Mine at least is very smart, probably the best thief. They love to be clowns not to be mistaken with smarts..;)

  • @87kittygirl

My OES is smart. I just tell people, he doesn't like to show off!!!

  • i love old english sheepdogs! there like monster teddy-bears! lol

  • they're just so,so lovely! I'll name my OES (when I get one) Jack.damn! I so want to have my own farm with my dogs taking care of the sheeps and cows...

  • Just AMAZING dogs:-)

  • NOT AS GOOD AS GSDS

  • IN YOUR OPINION

  • DULUX DOGS RULE!

  • I love OES. They are perfect. I still have mine and you might google her on Abbi. There's a pic of her standing on my mom's desk. We love her.

  • Aw, I have one! He's so friendly and active. But he never leaves me alone o_o lol.

  • I had one. She would follow me around everywhere. That's why they are known as velcro dogs! They love to be with you.

  • I adore OES! I have two of them! Aren't they great pets?!? :)

  • Best dogs in the world!!

  • i've had 2. one was even a "pet therapy dog." kindest dogs you could imagine.

  • "kindest" - is a big understatement. More like the sweet elite. There is no better breed suited to small children than the OES. That is why they are lovingly given the nickname "Nanny" (as in Peter Pan).

    Great comment, colorblindfool.

  • its a landseer in peter pan :)

  • Old english sheepdogs, or bobtails are wonderful dogs, for the most part. IK'm glad we are in the minority of ownership. And oh, why should we have to supply a video in spanish, why does every damn thing have to be written and translated to Spanish. Stop catering!

  • they re requesting a vid in spanish!! theyre not telling u to translate it...are they?

  • its olde

  • the AKC lists it as "old"

  • they kinda looks like A BIG HAMSTER!

  • I like to see the video in Spanish, someone knows where I can find?

  • me gustaria ver el video en español, alguien sabe donde lo puedo encontrar?

  • So are goldens and golden crosses but it's well worth it

  • beautiful dogs! very high maintance with keeping their coat though

  • Answer to the question at the beginning: No, they can't see with that fur over their eyes - they WILL walk into glass doors, objects and get injured if kept that way & the owner is bit cruel for not pulling it back or trimming it (the bangs). They can also get heat exhaustion with a full coat in summer. They are extremely LOW maintenance, if they are kept in a puppy cut. Also, they are non-shedding. I've had 4. If you show them, they need to be in full coat though.
