  • FYI THIS ISN'T BASEBALL ITS F'N SOFTBALL I PLAY IT! NEVA SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT

  • Omg I play softball and I have never seen any thing like this those 3 girls are my hero

  • Man you made me cry and im a man =)/ =( I'M PROUD OF YOU TOO GIRL

  • Awww this is so inspiring, next time someone gets hurt when i have a softball game, i'm gonna do that, i just don't want that to happen to me.<3

  • I love women's sports. Its a good way to keep them in shape so they'll always be healthy enough to make sandwiches

  • They could make a movie like this about going my to toilet.

are those girls got Polish parents ?

  • Those girls that took that young lady around the bases won something more important than any single game victory could ever mean when they decided to help her around those bases.

  • brought a tear to my eye. i hope my 5 year old daughter has this in her when shes on the field. bravo girls.

  • Congrats for the Home Run....

And a VERY class act by the other team!

So glad somebody in the stands had a Camera!

  • This is nothing short of a class act.

  • Inspiring!!!

  • I'm a dude...and everytime I see this story,I cry like a baby!!!!!

  • I wish stories like this one, would flood the airwaves of America !! This is what our contry is about and this is what our young people represent. How wonderful to be able to view this instead of the ignoranant young people throwing themselves around Wall Street, protesting something they don't even understand ! BIG "hooray" for BOTH teams !!

  • "Your student become my teacher." - Karate Kid

  • THis, is what the game is all about.

  • Greatest story ever happened on the field..

  • Great Story, Great Players.

  • I love this

  • I only can hit line drives to becasue i am 5 2 i have never hit a homerun

  • wow. what good players

  • Sorry for the duplicate posts. This thing was apparently accepting my posts without telling me, so I thought they weren't going through.

  • CARRYING HER ALL THEE WAY BACK TO THE KITCHEN

  • @Bobthomas25 : I hear they're coming back, to carry YOU all the way back to the cave!

  • @MultisportOfficial good one?

  • who cares...its fucking softball

  • @blizzard4422 : NO, this is not f****** softball. This goes way beyond softball, or any sport. This is an example of humanity at its best. People recognizing the accomplishment of another, and giving her her due, even when it's to their own disadvantage. It's how PEOPLE should treat each other, not just softball players, not just athletes - EVERYONE. As an employer, I'd HIRE Wallace and Holtman, because they showed CHARACTER.

It's for moments like these, that I truly love being a referee.

  • @blizzard4422 if you see an injured opponant that cant run their FIRST homerun would YOU pick HIM up and CARRY him around the bases? I dont think so. Its how she displayed character that counts.

  • @ZombieSlayer1942 she FORGOT to touch one of three bags. then, SHE tore her ACL turning. not to mention that SOFTBALL homeruns are like driving 25 yards from the ladys tee and getting on the green. chittity check yourself, before you rittity reck yourself.

  • Wow!!( at that last comment )

Thats an awesom thing that she did!

  • shes hot

  • This is the America of my childhood. So glad to see it is still here.

  • wow i'm crying and so is my mom.. true sportsmanship

  • Malery holtman the girl who carried her got the sportsmanship award of that year she is so nice to do that! but that stinks for sara :(

  • Tis video is so inspiring! My daughter plays sports and hope that in a situation like this, she would demonstrate this much class and sportsmanship. Well done to all involved!

  • the people that disliked this must think its just about winning and must believe that softball isnt a sport. i played for 15 years and this is the greatest thing i have ever seen in any sport.

  • Sportsmanship would have been to not showboat, overun first base and blow her knee out. You think a pro would have helped her beat their team? hell no when an opponent is down like this you either drag yourself around the bases or get off the field. Its a competitive sport not the special Olympics where you lose but its ok because everyone gets a big hug at the end!

  • @scaryalbino1987 You truly dont understand the meaning of the word "sportsmanship" do you? Put yourself in her shoes... Over 8 years of playing and and you get your first home run, anyone would be excited. Missing a bag is not showboating, it happens. Get over yourself!!! It may be true that another team may not have helped her, but the fact these two girls did, should make you do a gut check. It should make you realize that helping someone is bigger than winning a game. ITS ONLY A GAME!!!

  • @MrCool82 Oh i understand sportsmanship, when i score in rugby i dont even put my hand up i get back in the game and play like its zero zero, i also fallow the rules. So if someone breaks their leg because they tripped and fell over two meters from the try line i dont say well you got close enough try awarded. Its a home run, you go around the bases at a slow jog unless your a jackass. Get over myself? i'm not the one acting all high and mighty like i would never take advantage of a situation.

  • @scaryalbino1987 man, listen to the story dummy. She was running hard because she's never hit a home run EVER!. It was probably a shock to her that it even went over. Realizing she missed the base, she turned to return to touch the base and POP., torn ACL. Players do miss bases, and often. Even Mark McGwire missed first base when he hit his record breaking 62nd homer to pass Roger Maris. Call him a 'showboat' to his face and he'll fold you up like a chair.

  • @mike1956will i remember my first home run, i had played for 6 years but i had some discipline and jogged around the bases. Call me a showboat to my face and i will laugh back in yours because you would be wrong. They are call OPPONENTS for a reason, they do not help you when you are at a disadvantage. If the other teams player busted his knee next to the try line and i helped them over i would expect a huge beat down from my team. Because you play to win not to help everyone win.

  • @scaryalbino1987 Dude, you've never played a game in any sport or you would know the meaning of SPORTMANSHIP! Get a life and quit hating...

  • @mike1956will the exact same thing could be said about you.

  • @scaryalbino1987 dude you're a disrespectful scum bag. shame on you

  • @scaryalbino1987

How is it not sportmanship? They carried her around the bases because she hit a home run, because she deserved to have her run counted. But this isn't even about sportsmanship. This is about being a good person and doing the right thing.

  • @scaryalbino1987 this is true sportsmanship that should be in all sports, the other sports are greedy everyone who is damn owing you are correct. your a sorry piece shit of a waste of human life.

  • @critter2 "the other sports are greedy"? what? "everyone who is damn owning you are correct." im assuming you are saying everyone who is saying im wrong for my opinion is correct. Like i said if this was done in my sport i would expect a brutal beating from my team. In fact the last game i played in a guy told me "do that again ill knee you in the face." i looked back at him and said "you didnt do it the first time did you bitch?". The rest of it you just sound like my mom.

  • so i did that because i watced this video and we lost our chamipon ship game...but i realized we let a team win there own champion ship

  • Im a 11 year old softbal playa nd i play with da 18 year olds because thats how good i am and i also play with girls my own age nd there was this one girl from PLAINVIEW who hit a homer nd fell while turning to second nd the first basemen the had the ball and could of goten her out but instead she threw her mit and the ball nd tryed to help the girl up nd she just couldnt get up so me my self as a catcher took my helmet and chest guard off nd helped her get her homer and we still lost but so wt

  • Lovely story, True Sportsmanship, * quick side note, who the hell disliked this*

  • I don't understand much about baseball or softball, being English, but this is a lovely story.

  • True Sportsmanship

  • Who are the two people who honestly "disliked" this video and story? I mean really? Do you two people have no hearts or no emotions? How can anyone not like this story or be touched by this story? This is an amazing story.

  • true sportsmanship ...also thats very sad becasue i saw someone who also torn their acl and i love this video because this is amazing what people would do for other people and teams :))

  • I actually cried. I'm a 17 year old male, who doesn't even play baseball, and this made me tear up more than once in 5 and half minutes

  • AMAZING. i teared up. i grew up on softball, im 14 now and im still playing in my little league along with travel. that would never ever happen durring one of my games. if we had more people in the world like Lizzi and Mallory the world would be a better place. this was a truely amazing story

  • Wow what a story. Great to see in this day and age. The world has become so sterile greedy and angry. I grew up playing sports and although I had my moments it taught me more about life than my parents teachers or friends ever could. I learned everything I ever needed to know. Great story and good for her

  • in a world full of greedy athletes who complain that 100 million isn't good enough, these athletes who are playing for the love the game are TRUE players. yes, i cried the very first time i saw this, it's truly inspiring. perhaps this should be shown to all players on the first day of spring training to get them in line and remember why they started playing sports in the first place

  • great video!!! im a softball player and I know that all the players on my team would do the same thing!!! great sportsmanship from the other team!

  • Wow, that's incredibly touching. If this doesn't make you choke up, then you probably don't have a heart.

  • Aw. How nice. Wait... Nice can't even explain it.

  • That was niceee, I even got a knot in my throat. :'D

  • Very nice

  • Sports are truly an amazing thing, bringing together all people and showing that there is no difference in any person.

  • @bobbyjo07 You have to understand something maybe there team lost but both Lizzi , and Mallory are winners in my book . Like I said if we where playing a soccer game ,and other teams golie got hurt bad .Or at s martial arts tournament where a child frome another school got hurt bad. If I saw some children helping that child like this , and seeing one was one of my daughters .I'd be in tears because i'd be so proud of them .

  • @bobbyjo07 I don't agree it's inspiring very dedicated. I have a pretty big reputation working with children , and sports head coaching soccer teaching karate , and stuff with three young tomboy girls .But preach doing your best , and having fun comes first not winning .If I was at a soccer game , and th other teams golie got hurt bad like this , and I saw one of my daughters , and another girl help her it would be a honor .

  • I hate this video for making me cry!

  • Thanks alot for making a thirty year steel worker cry !!!!!!!!! Great story though, just absolutely great............

  • This almost made me cry!!!! and i barly EVER cry

  • that is so sad im softball player n that is the best sportmanship i have evr seen

  • This video is very inspirational. Every time I watch it, it makes me tear up. Most athletes don't do this and I hope that this story changes them :) TRUE SPORTSMANSHIP!

  • This was very deep.

  • 4:00-5:00 just hit me. Before I knew it my eyes were almost waterin

  • This is so damn deeply inspiring

  • @nowhereman012 Yeahhh- it takes someone of character to appreciate it. Next!

  • Good girls. Kind acts such as this are deeply inspiring.

  • it is a touching story, i wish they made the two girls from the opposing team the center of the piece though, they are the heros.

  • character. mallory displayed an extreme amount of sportsmanship with her action..you can say what you want...not very many ppl would have ever thought of doing this..

Also congrats to sara for hitting her first homerun

  • i read about sara in a book entitled "our Daily Bread" and getting touched by her story, i've decided to search for a video and here it goes... I did cry especially after hearing cheers from the crowds as the two opponent member carried her and also the moment when the guy coach said: IT WAS EMOTIONAL. IM PROUD. SINCE I ASSOCIATE WITH THOSE KIDS!

  • and less roids too, lol

  • great girls best sportsmanship ever i agree milligd pros need to be less about themselves and this happend in my home town of ellensburg

  • This is what sports is really about! I wish that today's sports stars would stop and watch this video. Instead of complaining about how many millions of dollars you are making. This is a true act of sportsmanship, should not be forgotten.

Today's sports stars forget about what the game is all about. Its a JOB to them and they don't care about what it is really about!
