  • wrong, democracy is tyrrany of the majority. In democracy all of your rights are subject to the whim's of the majority. Fuck democracy. I believe in rule of law, because no other person or group holds any title over me, whatsoever.

  • u confuse democracy w/ anarchy. w/c 1 is wrong? did not just present 1 view view. do u disagree w/ plato?dahl? przeworski? pareto? mosca? hungtington? lipset? pleez explain which authors are wrong.

  • i talked about *minorities* & *majority* from 2:13 to 2:39. u believe in "rule of law", yeah, it's review 2:04 to 2:10 (1st entry)! "no 1 holds any title over" u is wishful thinking (it's ur preference)--but title r all over d place-whether u like i or not-it's factual. that's not d point in this video. this video did not mention titles.

  • i respect your views, whatever they may b. but pleez b specific as 2 w/c point u r giving your critique on. ok?

  • stop using those moronic abbreviations.

i own myself, and as long as i am breathing your majority will never have any sway over my rights. Democracy is wrong. Grow up.

  • again, i respect your views, such r believing that democracy is wrong. that's your right. but specify which specific arguments by specific authors are wrong. sure, you own yourself--but how does that relate to democracy? please clarify as your arguments are confusing.

  • pick your own dictator, i LOVE this game!

  • me too!

and if you don't want to play, someone will force you at the barrel of a gun!

  • but that is what democracy is - democracy is force; it is mob rule at the barrel of a gun for if you do not comply with the will of the mob, you will be punished. your video is completely inaccurate - there is nothing good about democracy.

  • so you use violence(at the barrel of a gun) to force people to play. what's the point you are making?

  • excuse me? where did that come from?

  • Democracy is... mob rule.

Democracy is... the right to choose the lesser of two evils.

Democracy is... a multiple choice test where the answers don't match the questions.

  • please specify the authors who stated that democracy is "mob rule," "the right to choose the lesser of two evils," "a multiple choice test where the answers don't match the questions."

  • I wasn't quoting anyone specifically, but I suppose people have said similar things. Besides, would you really accept an argument from authority?

  • oh. ok. so you were just making a general attack on democracy. not about specific arguments by specific authors in the video. so, you are barking up the wrong tree. so, you are ready for have a proper argument with specific authors?

  • Are they here?

  • Physically, yes, they are here: Huntington, Lipset, Diamond, Przeworski, etc. You are not answering the question. You are beating around the bush. The question was: What is wrong with whose arguments?

  • They were for a system that doesn't work. I mean, I suppose it could be argued that democracy is better than, say, monarchy, but it certainly isn't the best system.

  • Fine, if you just say that u believe that democracy doesn't work.I respect your views. I never said that democracy is the best system. But don't confuse democracy from mob rule. They are totally different. When there is power outage & the mob goes out in the streets &wreaks havoc by breaking shop windows & looting all the goods they can get hold of, that's mob rule. Democracy is not that--u have to read the etymology of the word & philosophers' expositions & find out @ says something diff.

  • In a democracy, things are decided by the majority. The majority is a mob. Therefore democracy is mob rule.

  • Wrong. Mob--1688, "disorderly part of the population, rabble," slang shortening of mobile, mobility "common people, populace, rabble" (1676), from L. mobile vulgus "fickle common people" (1600), from mobile, neut. of mobilis "fickle, movable, mobile," from movere "to move" (see move).

  • Wrong. Mob--In Australia and N.Z., used without disparagement for "a crowd." Meaning "gang of criminals working together" is from 1839, originally of thieves or pick-pockets; Amer.Eng. sense of "organized crime in general" is from 1927. The verb meaning "to attack in a mob" is attested from 1709. Mobster is first attested 1917. Mob scene "crowded place" first recorded 1922. Mobocracy "mob rule" is attested from 1754.

  • You got it all wrong. Mob, majority, and democracy are different. You are confusing one for the other. Wrong. Some democracies are based on plurality. Not all democracies are based on majority).

  • Love it! An excellent content!
