  • why am i watching this? i started my day watching skyrim then ended up in here

  • very informing i now know where it comes from and its quite interesting thanks!!!!

  • i wanted to know the exact process in response to an article I read. Thanks for uploading.

  • Mmm looks tasty!

  • Pretty cool. Always wondered how the cow was transformed into delicious steaks!

  • Great video, really explains the process, thanks.

  • Animals taste good.

  • ..when the cow is stunned, at what point to they die?

  • im getting a job there soon :)

  • im hongry

  • I actually recognize some of the people in this video. I work there...

  • Well done, very educational.

  • Very educational - not made to look pretty nor cruel.

  • Mmmmmmmm steak

  • This shows one cow being stunned; it doesn't give you a chance to see that cow before and during the process and how it reacts to the cows in front on the coveryor belt being killed before it. This hardly gives a balanced view of the process

  • @splattyfish You will see at 3:18 the cattle lined up. If you pause it, you will see I am traveling up a walkway leading up to a door. While shooting the next shot at 3:21, I am standing just inside that door. There is nothing in between that is missed.

Also I might ad that there was no "coveryor belt" that you mentioned in your comment. The cattle walk up the ramp unassisted.

  • @splattyfish Its not much of a stun. i believe it kills the cow

  • As long as they are taken out quick.

  • cover us in cotton wool youtube, why should kids not know where their meat comes from? irresposinsible of youtube to make it a age topic! Shame!

  • Good video, but I think I've conceived of an even more humane method of slaughter: it would involve putting peanut butter on the end of a gun...

  • 11PM. Steak time.

  • That has made me hungry! Great video!

  • interesting, ta

  • the most informative and best video i have watched. its put together extremely well and i'm glad it shows all the stages from the entry through stunning, bleeding out and finally onto the shelf of the shop.

    I'm very impressed :)

  • Id love a steak right now!

  • I work there and you get sick of meat after a while

  • As an artist. Even when I was sculpting a dead cow corpse I got hungry.

  • Billy Mays hand motions...

  • this was really a humane and ethical way of doing this. I would not worry about eating their meat.

  • thats wat my b/f does head removal and fronting out (gutting) he comes home covered in crap i have to wash his shirts i watched this video to see wat he does and yeah crazy job but the moneys worth it

  • Somebody gotta do it! But thats a crazy job!

  • Those animals are out of it when they get cut, not aware of anything.

  • this is EARTH we all eat each other if you like it or not!! we have Canine teeth along with grinder teeth and such. we are omnivores not herbivores ..this goes with BEARS are Omnivores ...if yo uare a vegetarian your a ruining your body as you live..your structure wil lbe altered to a feeble weak body and by the time you reach 70 years old..you will not have the ability to walk of the cause of LACK of NUTRITION! !! get over yourself..you are worse than an atheist!! and those tree hugging hippys

  • @lukojason1973 dam dude, don't have a cow lololololololoololol

  • what does the stunning do? does it kill the cow before it gets its throught cut?

  • I was born a butcher I'll die a butcher.

  • Can't wait for my marinating steak now.

  • @mikeybk9 Must have been a vegan. If they care so much for vegetables, why do they eat them? Aren't they living creatures too? :)

  • @barjohnz Agreed! If they choose to do this for a future, then so be it. Without young knowledgeable people, there will only be vegans in the next 50 yrs; and who the hell wants that!?

  • There is nothing wrong with this process. It all looks very humane, very clean and I hope the Brits are as efficient as this in our slaughterhouses. Definitely think there should NOT be an age limit on who can see this video. Very interesting.

  • @barjohnz

I totally agree. All is OK!

  • to bad i cant find a video of the factory i work at.. its basicly the same in the kill floor here but in the boning room its not cut in half or anything its all one piece and gets boned from bottom leg to top leg... but i guess everyone does it differently

  • When you ask a 5 year old kid the question "Where does meat come from?" The answer is usually, "from the shop/supermarket". Unfortunately, there are many adults out there who still follow that line of thinking. This is a very good video.

On another note, I want some beef.

  • GREAT Video .. more meat please a steak will be fine

  • After 3:15 pay attention to the cow in the background...those ribs HUGE! wow!

  • seeing this vid i want to eat MORE COWS

  • good video boning room setup a bit diffrent to wingham abs but same cryovac and stunning technique

  • @onlywhenpissed - LOL I wonder how many other people actually get that.

  • this is pretty technical. cool stuff

  • MEAT!!!

  • What you won't know, won't hurt you. I guess its a little too late now

  • Superbutcher retail outlets can be found in Queensland, Australia, located at Yatala, Oxenford, Waterford, Eagle Farm, Tweed Heads, and maybe some more I can't think of. Highly recommend them. I am very please that somebody is showing the public the truth about meat.

  • I eat meat but i couldn't work there...

  • @barjohnz Your right, people that eat meat normally but then cant eat it after seeing where it comes from kinda annoys me.

  • Where is the super butcher retail floor, I want to buy meat from the guy who cares enough to go and inspect the processing facility.

  • i just let my 13y/o son watch this video ....were all meat eaters ,and love it.....

nothing wrong with ow meat gets to your plate.....

  • I like matey sat down washing the cattle, easy work if you can get it!!

  • If you eat beef, you're old enough to watch this video.

  • Very good video and that abbatoir and boning plant is huge!! it makes the one where i work look like a toy one!! The cattle are stunned at bit different here in the UK , where the animals are stunned in a box where it cannot see whats happening to its mates!. Great video and vey well presented well done.

  • i plan to get a job in a beef abattoir, so this was very helpfull, 10x.

  • Anybody who buys meat from the supermarket should be required to watch this video.

When we become too divorced from the fact that to consume is to kill, we lose touch with the basic elements of life, the death of one organism and the consumption and digestion of its cells to service another organism, all the way from paramecia eating each other up to humans stunning, bleeding and butchering cows to make tasty steaks.

So it has been, so it shall be forever. Humans are omnivores for a reason.

  • This is a great video, it's a shame not every abbatoir follows the same "clean" procedure....

  • I do the service on alot of Abattoir overhead track scales so get to alot behind the scenes :)

  • Why do all other slaughter houses look so much better than Americas? Or are these just the good ones we get to see?

  • What a great video.

    Many thanks for making it.

  • i want sum beef!!!

  • Its a very sensitive issue but if I am honest its noyt as bad as I thought it was going to be. Thought it was very humane way to do it.

  • He moves his arms around just like chef Ramsey

  • GREAT VIDEO, CONGRATS!

  • Good video, very informative. thanks.

  • Great video. I only hope that the US USDA and the FDA and Congress can pass and enforce laws that promote the same standards of practice in the USA. McDonalds has more clout in the food industry than any gov't agency.

  • great video on how the process SHOULD be done

  • I post hard comments on some plants with animal well being on the forefront.

This is about as quick and humane as it can get.

All plants should operate this way.

  • great video Andrew, keep them coming!

  • I work in there! :)

  • I cant really appreciate the slaughter of cattle, as i work with them from a young age, then have to watch them be taken to to a slaughter house. It is really hard. but i guess here it was done quickly.

  • Very humane and very well done, some countries are dreadful - the same countries that wish to deal in "kosher" meat funny enough. Anyway, good video!

  • Makes me hungry! Give me some steak!

  • very good video, very imformative.this video show how humane and profesional beef is process.

  • gotta eat.

  • Ive been working at Bindaree for 8 weeks and spend 8 weeks in Inverell as well. That was arguably my best time in Australia. Nice vid!

    Gingbob.

  • now this is a great slaughterhouse vid!!!!! its so sanitary and clean i cant imagine why people would bash them so hard!
