@ralfodrum What is your problem?! Bill is incredible at what he does, and there is no form of flattery greater than imitation. There will only EVER be one Buddy Rich!! I think we've ALL accepted that, but c'mon and give Bill a break. He's keeping the legend of Rich alive as far as I'm concerned!

@ralfodrum This setup looks like John Bonham's, and I think John got his idea from Buddy because it worked. Lots of metal drummers used double bass drums, but that is not because they copied Louie Bellson, who was the person that used double bass drums filrst, if I remember the Modern Drummer article I read it in was accurate.

Can you please explain in a video or text what your doing with your left hand during 1:10-1:20. It is just moeller so fast that its literally a one handed drum roll?
Nice job my friend. I actually found this video through a fellow that I spoke to in an argument/discussion about American Vs British TV talk hosts and I am glad I did. You play drums really well. Not as thunderous as John Bonzo Bonham but a brutally fast and accurate style like Bill Bruford or Stew Copeland. I do not compliment musicians unless they really deserve it and you deserve the highest compliments.
Very few drummers can come close to this type of playing today. Of all the drum solo videos I watch on youtube I have to say this is among the very finest. Jazz drummers are at the top of the herd. Always have been. Keep playing sir, very inspiring.
