Sounds great! May I ask how much the repair set you back>? We have a Wurl 200 and it's got VERY bad crackling sounds (plugged in directly to a recorder, no speakers being used).

Crackling is usually mostly magnetic dust and filings stuck between the tines and the pickup.
Remove the shield and give the harp a good vacuum cleaning, preferably with a brush tip.
This won't cure all problems - especially if it's an electronic component that's failing - but it might help.
