  • y u no epic like bw ending?

  • this sounds really off. its missing those 8-bit noises. -.-

  • This song makes me feel like crying for no reason whatsoever.

  • @Zheeph It's probably the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that completing a Pokemon game gives you. Same feeling amplified when I finished Pokemon Black! :D

  • @epicreshiramgirl Black didn't give me the same feeling. Actually, Black didn't give me many feelings all the other versions did. Black is far too flawed and was mostly a disappointment. I hope they fix everything with "Grey" or whatever version that comes around.

    PS- 1:47 is totally the best part of this song. It totally screams "YOU WON AND IT'S OK TO REST NOW."

  • @Zheeph I agree. I was lucky enough to be around when Pokemon was first released, and honestly, the earlier games did have that sense of Hell Yeah. I still remember the first time I beat Gold's Elite Four. I've got a copy of White, and I just stopped playing after about 6 badges.

  • @MrDrewseph I got through to the end. Now I have no idea what to do. Everything left to do is boring. Can't rematch trainers. The only way to train is in the tall grass, and I'm not OK with slaughtering every Pokémon that comes my way, that's not what the story teaches you. The Train is a Battle Frontier with not even half of the cool stuff it had. A tremendous disappointment, dude.

  • @Zheeph Yep. That post-Elite-Four stuff never interested me anyway. I'd prefer something like Gold, with another big story arc. Having said that, I didn't like those islands in FR/LG. I just prefer the story side of games. Even games like Uncharted 2 could have been longer, but no, it needed multiplayer apparently. >_<

  • @MrDrewseph I think every game should have multiplayer to make it playable after you finish it. That or having more than one way of getting through the story so you feel like playing it again, which isn't exactly the case of Pokémon. But Emerald was an exception, it's Battle Frontier kept me satisfied because it was hard as hell, it didn't even need multiplayer. And it actually was a part of the story, since Scott kept an eye on you all the time to see if you were worthy of it. I want my remake.

  • MARIO BROS 3 ENDING

  • Um... no offense, but this sounds WAY off. It's missing the "8-bit" instrument, and it makes a big difference.

  • @Blaziken257 8 bit sucks nuff said

  • who thought when they first completed the game watched the sprites thinking DAWW!!! CUTE!!!!

  • i love when team rocket is challenged by the champion and the player and they run away

  • me i finished the game 368 times just for listen the song :P

  • good times

  • i used my pokeball on a magikarp and now its a garyados XD i spelt it wrong

  • probably the best music in this game

  • Just because I like to say things twice : This arrangement just slaughtered the spirit of the 8-bit song.

  • I like how they revamped the credits in this game; I liked how they showed all the characters running around, like your rival, the gym leaders, and even Team Rocket. lol

  • I remember beating the game over and over just to hear 0:34, I loved that part.

  • Aw, it's way too fancy! It should be calm like in the original gold and silver.

  • 1:03 :)

  • Did Canalave City in D/P/Pt ever remind anyone of this? Even only slightly? The huge tempo change between the two kind of hides it, but when I walked into Canalave on my Pearl it sounded ever so slightly familiar. Either way this was always better, I was just saying.

  • Canalave City was based off of the original version of this song. If you'll notice, Nintendo likes to reuse classics in newer games.

    Examples:

    (Pokemon)

    Canalave City -> GSC Credits

    Sinnoh Gym Leader Battle -> GSC Rival Battle

    (Zelda)

    Outset Island -> Kokiri Forest

    Windfall Island -> Kakariko Village

  • @HugoMeister573 And for Pokemon, the Wild Battle theme for DPPt is the very similar to GSC Wild Battle theme...

  • Hmm, after listening to other videos, this is missing the 8-bit instrument.

    Strangely, I think it sounds better without it. It doesn't sound as much like the original without it, but the countermelodies have their own charm which really sets this version apart.

  • I agree, however I like how they added the Platinum style to it (Platinum specific music had a different style to Diamond and Pearl) and I want to marry them for vamping the Rival battle into the glorious thing it is now *dies of awe*

  • Evidently, yes.

  • FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU

  • Assuming that this song is still in, could you get the song that plays just after the credits, on the "THE END" screen?

    Also, I wonder if the dancing Elekids and Togepis and Sentrets and whatever else there may have been are still in.

  • They are, just now there on the sides, not the top and bottom.

  • :D

    DANCING ELEKIDS FTW

  • Dancing Igglybuff and togepies

  • I loved hearing this when beating the Elite 4 while I kept training my Starmie and my other stuff. Good times. And I love that the same vibe was kept.

  • the ending theme was so good back then
