well i don't know hester thanks to the coaches is a full time receiver sometimes running down field 30-40 yards sometimes for nothing that can take a toll on you get you tired, and then some teams dont even kick it to him they squib it punt it out of bounds,and his returns are more historic, oh and hester has gotten some returns but called back due to penalties.

Both Cribbs n Hester r phenomenal return men. Becuz of his lethal speed and lateral quickness, Hester would've been my pick if he stayed on ST n didnt try 2 become a WR so Cribbs is the better returner now. Hester has way more speed (sprinter) & agility (quicker directional cuts) but Cribbs has way better balance, strength, and I'd even go to say better vision which in the end, makes a perfect returner. I'd say Cribbs 4 kickoffs & Hester 4 punts. Cribbs is also a better football player overall.

I would say Cribbs has proven these guys wrong so far this year (week 4). Cribbs is crushing Hester's stats. Especially on punt returns. Jacoby Jones of Houston is one to watch also.

Hester= amazing talent but limited to SOME aspects of the game.

My vote is with Cribbs who was undrafted out of Kent State. Underated and undercompensated...but not for long!!!

As far as KR rankings go, that is just based upon average yardage gained. It's easy to average good yardage when you catch it on the 5 and have 20 yards to run before you get into traffic. Devin has to catch squibs and bloops and other stuff no one has heard of before and try to gain yardage with defenses already surrounding him. TD's and average drive starting position are the important statistics when assessing a returners value. In that case Hester is in a class by himself.

Also the bears don't need Hester to be on coverage units because theirs is one of the best in the league. The Bears' overall special teams is #1 in the league the last two seasons, Hester is a big part of that.

the stats are not close!!! Hester owns this piece of shit! ok Hester two time pro bowler including as a rookie when he was key in a SUPER BOWL APPEARANCE! In that appearance he made the first opening kick in a Super Bowl back for a touchdown ever. Cribbs has never played in he Playoffs. This year Hester will break out at reciever. Last year he played the positioin for the first time ever in his life and got to TD passes on the NFL level.

see to me thats 2 different catagories, yes cribbs is versatile but is he really THAT great at all those positions? i dont beleive so. Hester doesnt just run with the ball, i dont see how you can say that. Hester does return kicks. He is starting to improve on his receiving skills. And whenever he is on the feild, everyone is aware of it. Hester can be placed at RB, he can be place on a screen play, and with his abilities with the ball, he is able to score whenever. To me cribbs isnt as danerous

Versatility alone doesn't mean he's better. Hester could do all of those thing to, but he's a much better weapon than Cribbs so he's allowed to focus on WR and returns.....Cribbs is a lesser talent, so to make the team he HAS to do all those things.
