@X1xRiGox3X It looks like they're just going over combos, closing the distance and circling and cornering. I might be wrong but it doesn't look like he's too worried about proper technique so much as "flow". Good for beginners who aren't used to fighting ie. throwing combos. I really like his boxing style, relaxed and effective.
Love the technique and mentality. I used to watch him and would wonder why he threw so much with opponents covering up cuz most would gas out, but he uses those shots to set up those hooks to the body, which must be mean in real life. Good stuff!!

I think Diaz has terrible form and posture. His foot work is god awful, I honestly don't understand why his boxing gets so much attention. His boxing is over rated. I like Anderson Silvas boxing he reminds me of Ali, or Overeem, Overeem reminds me of a young Tyson. Their are a lot of great boxing styles in MMA but Diaz doesn't get credit with Limp wrists, bad footing, and worse posture. His combinations are very sloppy.... but I gotta admit I hope he becomes champ one day. He mos def earned it!

@Grimerson I'm a TKD player, the power is generated in different ways but I wouldn't put 1 kick over another. It's really up to the person performing the kick. TKD rndhouse is faster and has more snap. MT is definitely powerful, but their kicks do greatest damage when aimed at the thighs or ribs. There's also an angle difference. I think ANY kick to the side of the head will put MOST folks down for the count. Nick's body shots are legendary! The body is a very overlooked target area in MMA.
@zshakur I agree, not to mention the mix of body to head. In a fight its very hard to breath when you got somebody punching your stomach and head back and forth. Open mouth is easier to knock out too.

@cujo905 Thats really not true. Bottom line is you dont have to worry about being taken down or kicked in boxing, you do in mma. The way to place your weight over your feet is different. The distance you put between your feet in your stance is different. The way you commit your weight when you throw a bunch is different. The footwork is often different (although thats kind of a stylistic thing). Boxing has many subtle sciences, as does mma. They look very similar, but they really arent.

@Grimerson I'm a TKD player, the power is generated in different ways but I wouldn't put 1 kick over another. It's really up to the person performing the kick. TKD rndhouse is faster and has more snap. MT is definitely powerful, but their kicks do greatest damage when aimed at the thighs or ribs. There's also an angle difference. I think ANY kick to the side of the head will put MOST folks down for the count. Nick's body shots are legendary! The body is a very overlooked target area in MMA.

Dana white is playing diaz; he wants gsp as the welterweight poster boy, he hates diaz, and joe silva works for him. He used bj penn as a sacrificial lamb, after losing twice to frankie edgar. Diaz has had to train for and fight two of the best fighters in that weight division while gsp would only have to train for one fighter and im pretty sure he knows that diaz is gonna beat condit after a very very hard fight. They expect a beaten diaz but all they're doing is sharpening the knife.

@cujo905 Thats really not true. Bottom line is you dont have to worry about being taken down or kicked in boxing, you do in mma. The way to place your weight over your feet is different. The distance you put between your feet in your stance is different. The way you commit your weight when you throw a bunch is different. The footwork is often different (although thats kind of a stylistic thing). Boxing has many subtle sciences, as does mma. They look very similar, but they really arent.

He won over BJ Penn and other really skilled professionals... maybe Condit will be his Master, hope so. I hate the Diaz brothers, especially Nick, but his style is amazing...

But it´s relatively dangerous and risky for the wrists... even more using big boxing gloves than in MMA, because if u swing or cross once to sloppy-you might roll, twist or strain it.

IF he does box, it's not like he's going to step in the ring with Mayweather or Pacquio or guys at the very top. They'll find somebody mid pack at his weight. Also, you can't use complete techinical boxing in MMA the way boxers do it. You'll get killed in the MMA cage if you come in with 100% technical boxing because you have to account for kicks and take downs. It's why it's more REAL than boxing
