i brought mine from macys 2....the serum and the cream...wasted a lotttt of money on it for nothing....now am using AMBI wich costed me $5 and my skin is soooo much beter
maybe you could try a natural way to fade scars. Lemon juice works REALLY well! Plus since it's natural it won't have the side effect of breaking out your skin even more. The only thing is it's pretty drying so if you have or when you have dry skin it'll sting and make it a little red. Other than that it's great! i've used it for a while now, and i've had TREMENDOUS results! :)
Clinique stuff are really crap, I don't even know how they survive all these years! I always tell my friends using soap is better than using Clinique. I was so turned off by this brand since I was 14!
I've watched a few of your videos and I LOVE that you're open and honest about the products you use. Thanks for these videos Holly, you've saved me a lot of heartache xD
aw, fail. shilseido doesnt work for me. its like you said, at first i used it every day and that broke out my skin. then when i used it every other day and it didnt do anything x_x having healthy smooth skin is so complicated.
I wanted to try this product because I am a MAJOR hyperpigmentation sufferer so I was going to try this on the recommendation of a coworker. I'll definitely stay away from this product, thank you so much!
i dont know about this but i'm currently using cliniques face wash and toner...i've been for a little over 2 weeks and havent noticed a change in wat i was told(toner helps get rid of pores)..no results!! waste of my fifty-something dollars..let me know if you know a good pore minimizing product
I've used Clinique Post Blemish Formula to get rid of my scars. Well they're acne scars. & it worked so well for me! Only $14. I've tried bio oil, but I couldn't use it long enough to see if it works.
My friend gave me a freebee of this stuff (she works for Clinique here in the UK) and this product aswell as most others are crap! They've got like an under eye cream that I use to try and sort out dark circles and it does nothing. I'm with you on the "if I don't see results I don't repurchase!", I tried Bio Oil for scarring and it just does the same thing, it makes my skin really spotty and greasy for ages! If you find products that work, please do a video!! xxx
Love the hair!! Did you curl it at all? I know you said you don't do much with it, so did you just wash it and sleep with it that it came out like this??
@K3chocolate when its curly ive actually done something to it, just used a curling iron. any time it does not look like like this its me just waking up
Yeah, I experienced the same horrible results but with these strange deep bumps all over my face AND neck while using this crap of a lotion (Clinique Even Better Clinical). It's not cheap either and it broke me out all over with these deep itchy bumps all over my face. I wouldn't call them acne, they were not red, but large bumps under the layer of my skin. Hated it.......
I just think clinique products aren't good for sensitive skin at all. I haven't used this product but I use their foundation and I got these big ( kind of looked like Mosquitos bites) zits on my face. I stopped wearing the foundation and now my face is back to the way it was before I started using the foundation. I guess it's time to look for a new foundation. :/
Have you heard of Kose? I use the Kose Seikisho Soap, i use the medicated version. It is amazing! It's whitening, it's good for scaring/sun damage. It reduced the size of my pores, cleared up any blemishes and made my skin look younger! I love it. It made me comfortable going out without makeup! The Sekkisei eye cream is really good too. I now have my mum and sister using the soap and eye cream too. I got mine on ebay.
Wow, thanks for the tips on the Clinique Even Better -- I wanted to purchase it due to sun spots. I went to the store and tried it out but it was tiny for it's price and wasn't sure if it was good purchase.
its alot of money geez! i have been looking for a product for the longest on how to remove my dark scars from my acne and what not and still havent found anything that was successful :( but im gonna keep looking, if you find anything that works i will really appreciate the update, thanks holly :)
if you're trying to find the product that really works to fade the scars which acne left to your skin, try Mario Badescu whitening mask. I'm amazed by how it worked for me... I used to have red marks on my skin which look like Acne but they're actually not. and I've used whitening mask for almost 2 months and I can tell the big difference. I love love love love it. and I've got a lot of compliments abt my skin too.
I completely agree! I HATE CLINIQUE. I hate it even more when people recommend clinique to me like it's a magical serum. I hate their line, the color of their foundation, and their sales people. They are horrible!
but i used the acne 3 step skin products and i broke out like CRAZY...like in places that i never break out and it was like ones those that are under the skin...it took forever to get back to normal
Bummed that you didn't get any good results w/ the clinique clinical dark spot corrector. HOPEFULLY it'll do something for me. I just started using it yesterday. Anyways, greats vids!
im so glad you posted this b/c i was thinking about trying it. I dont really need it b/c I dont rly have blemishes, maybe one or two, but lThanks so much!
@KaleidoscopeEyes67 its not whitening, so no it wont. its not that type of product. just like it wont fade freckles either. but i didnt notice it doing anything anyway
omg it ruined my skin too! I felt like taking it back and throwing it at the saleswoman. If you find any other products for scars please let me know, my face is covered in them :(...I sleep with Vit E oil that seems to help a little..
@MiniFoof LMFAOOO i laughed out loud at the "taking it back and throwing it at the saleswoman" HAHAHHAA. i told steve if it was a person id punch it in the face. LOL. ....idk it reminded me of that. i was using the BB cream with it thats SPF30
Oh good thanks for posting this it did the same thing to me and I did exactly what the directions said so sad that it cost so much and it ruins your skin. I also used it for a month and thought exactly the same thing as you. I am gonna try the BB cream now. My skin is oily and not sensitive. I was even using the entire Clinque 3 step skincare system with the cream. At least thanks to you I waited for your review for this product before I went out and bought another one. Thank you so very much
my mom used this product and had the same problem. We have sunspots (easier for Koreans) and thought it was a good product, my mom tried it, fail, good thing I haven't ^__^
AFTER 4 WEEKS? lol I've been using that Clinique stuff for 4 MONTHS and I haven't seen any results! but I'ma finish up the bottle and never again :) waste of money.
I use dermatix as a night 'treatment'. It's sticky and doesnt really set onto the skin but it has vanished all kind of scars you can imagine. I started using it on a hypertrophic scar i had (well, still have but can barely notice it) from when a dog bit my arm and tried to get a chunk of it. Anyways, for my acne scars took about 2 weeks to see any change, but within two more weeks, they were 90% gone.
Your hair looks lovely today. What a terrible experience with the Clinique! Thanks for the review, I was going to buy this, so thanks. I really enjoy Shiseido products, hello new lemming at the back! xo
you use 3 cleansers? no wonder you have had dry skin (do you still? you said you did in the past.) not trying to be a hater but that seems like so much work! and possibly bad for your skin. but i guess if it works for you then that is good.
@BlueAwesomeness no i dont still as ive said before its more normal now. i use 3 cleansers but during the same time period, it doesnt make much of a difference at all actually. im not washing 3 individual times, its all during the time im in the shower, plus i dont re-wash in the morning.
i rememberr a long time ago like maybe a year ago i watchedd one of ur videos and i was like omgee she is like onee of those pop pretty asian girls that prob dominate and are like slutty or something like that? u no?? and know i cant believe i ever even thought that! now im like she is sooo nice and just breath takinglyy pretty! like omgee sorry thoo for thinking that i guess???
I have been suffering from acne scars and very oily sking. So I fot this OLAY Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream as a sample and I have been using it for 5 days now; day and night. I have see results.
And my results are.....
- It made my acne scars faded a little
- My skin is much tighter
- Pores less visible
- When wearing the cream my oily skin is less oily
Holly, have you ever tried Bio oil or vitamin E oil? They both help with scars to heal them quicker and fade old scars. I had a small burn on my arm, and I used Bio Oil and it healed it quickly and now I don't have a burn scar. I heard great things about both products. I hope that helps :)
@jungmin94 i think its for spots to even skin, it doesnt bleach your skin. and the vita k i believe can be used anywhere cause its for bruises too and i dont think a lot of ppl get bruises on their face often. it doesnt say on the package but thats what i would say
I have Tan Skin and i have hyper-pigmentation from acne scarring, its not deep or raised but its dark. The product that I am using right now is the Mario Badescu Whitening Mask. I dont use it as a mask, instead i spot treat the dark pigmented spot. I have been using it for almost 2 weeks and it has significantly reduced the darkness It didnt break me out, it has kaolin in it to reduce acne also. I totally recommend it! You should try it! =)
you're beautiful & your skin looks flawless! i have a lot of old dark acne scars, but i cant seem to find a good concealer & foundation that will cover them up. What type of foundation & concealer do you recommend?
heyy~ do you have any idea where they sell the nars sheer glow/matte foundations other than sephora? I've been trying to find it and haven't been able to! :( AND, i love your vids :) thanks for making them~~~
I love the shiseido white lucent products. You should try the toner and the Brightening Protective Moisturizer in SPF 16. It is a bit thick so I would recommend mixing it with one of your favorite moisturizers. You definatley notice a difference after putting it on.
Hi Holly! I tried this same product a couple of years ago. I didn't notice a significant change in terms of clearing up the old acne scars or dark spots on my face. Definitely not worth the $50. Btw, loving your hair on this vid!
I regret buying 'even better' too. I'm living in Germany and I bought this at Douglas for €57.50 (about 70 US dollars). I didn't check the ingredients at the shop, cause the sales person convinced me successfully to believe the effects of this product. Later I noticed the main ingredient is dimenticon which is another name of silicon. I spent over 70 bucks to buy a silicon creme. The effect is ZERO. Now I use it as a hand creme, cause I can niether throw it away nor want to use it on my face.
i agree with you on clinique! everything i bought i hated! and the ladies that work there don't know what they're talking about and can never match foundation to my skin! so annoying!
I tried this product last year. It didn't do anything for me. I know they say it takes a couple of months to see results. But nobody wants to wait 3 months!. We all want something that works FAST! Anyway I love love love their youth surge night cream!!!
I have very bad sensitive skin too.... I just turn 31.... start to have pimple when old :'( shame.. anyways, I'm now pretty happy with 1-Clinique acne solution 2-Shiseido white lucent (balancing softener) 3-Sheseido white lucent (Intensive Spot Targeting Serum) 4-Seiseido Future Solution (eye/lip) 5-Shiseido White Lucent (Brightening (SPF15) only at night before going to bed.. I'll add couple more +1-MARIO BADESCU Skin care (BUFFERING LOTION) +2-MARIO BADESCU (DRYING LOTION) should try!!
Thanks for making this video Holly; very informative. I'm always hearing about bb creams and didn't know if I should try but now I will and hopefully it will work for me to.
@chorgaparada well #1 its not for acne, its for scars and #2 i obviously would conceal the areas so you dont know what youre talking about and just look like an ass. but i guess thanks for thinking my skins so nice.
I tried Clinique Even Better Clinical too, for medium acne scaring, the only problem I had was that IT DIDNT WORK, there wasnt even enough in there to last more than two weeks, and for 50 bucks? No way. The perscription I got from a dermatologist was cheaper and worked better.
hey..love your videos and i think you look sooo pretty ! can you please do a tutorial for that hairstyle..and also can you do a tutorial on how to apply eyeliner..i love the way you lined your eyes here...i'm very clumsy with eyeliner (gel, liquid, cream and pencil..everything)..i'm good with makeup otherwise..but i tend to mess up my eyeliner all the time.. so i can really use some help in that department..thanks
@jonina92 thank you :) i actually dont contour or highlight typically. i like the mac 116 for blush, 109 for contouring would be good and for bronzer i like to use a kabuki brush like the 182 (but i do mine different so im not sure if youd want that, i do have a video all on bronzing though where i show what i use and do)
@hollyannaeree I know I haaaaaaaate clinique my mom took me their because I was complaining about not finding the right color of foundation and the sales person their was rude and the powder that they gave me broke me out. All of their products that I have tried sucked!!! I saw a comercial for this and knew right then that I wasnt going to get it just because it was clinique!
totally agreed! i find clinique stuff doesnt suits me at all bought the spot range and man causes me more break ups before using their products so will nv try their products ever again!
i've been using that shiseido white lucent cleanser for a little over a year. I agree that it does leave a very squeaky feel to ur skin and make ur skin super dry. i kinda like that squeaky feel 'cuz it makes me feel like my skin is really clean. However, i don't use that cleanser everyday. I only use it when i wear heavy foundation. i make sure to apply moisturizer right after it'd be really drying. i like it overall, it's really effective for brightening/whitening ur face..i deff. see results
$50 is a lot, and if it didn't work for you, Macy's has an AMAZING return policy! They have to take it back no matter what, no questions asked. They give you store credit back. And also, I was browsing TJMaxx and they were selling the Shiseido cleanser there for about $10, yours might have it too!:) Love your videos, thanks for the heads up!
What going on with u and moving to california? You'll fit in here very wellll! If u need help on looking for the right city to move to lett me know :)
@nenaa09 Thanks nenaa for you super duper thoughtful observations! Now go pat yourself on the back for being so clever and helpful with that inane comment of yours! >_>
i use cocoa butter scar serum it works i had really bad like acne scars and it cleared rite up, it works even better if ur scar is light already tooo it just fades give it like two weeks youll definitly see a change
@rboriqua im not gonna try bio oil. everyone says it clogs pore AND they say its not for old scars, i dont really have any new scars as my skin hasnt really been breaking out other than when i used this product.
My bf's mom uses the whole Shiseido White Lucent line and her skin is better than mine! (she's 53!).. expensive but works. btw, you look friggin gorgeous here!
hey holly! I use Shiseido's White Lucent line too (The Brightening Balancing Softener, the Foaming Cleanser, and the Moisturizer) and I love it! The foaming cleanser gives me that filmy residue too! hate it! I've been using it for the about a month now and i LOVE the results too! you should definitely try the other products as well! You're hair is gorgeous btw. love it!
Awwh. It's really hard to find something that will speed up the process of lightning up your scars... I have a few, especially on my forehead and one or two on my chin from breakouts. it sucks ): but it's lightning up.... and will probably be not that noticable occasionally :D
hey sweetie, I am not a fan of Clinique neither, sorry to hear about the bad result to you. to lighten your acne scar, please try something with retinol and AHA in it. many products available in Sephora. ^^
yuu should use vitamin e oil on your face
made miracles for my scars
it cleared up my cheeks from scarring in about a month and a half

maybe you could try a natural way to fade scars. :)

Holly, have you ever tried Bio oil or vitamin E oil? They both help with scars to heal them quicker and fade old scars. I had a small burn on my arm, and I used Bio Oil and it healed it quickly and now I don't have a burn scar. I heard great things about both products. I hope that helps :)
graceyu604 1 year ago

What type of foundation & concealer do you recommend?

that's super expensive! The commercials for this product are kinda silly. They feature a spotted egg... kinda reminds me of a dinosaur egg.

MochiGurl17 1 year ago
I regret buying 'even better' too. I'm living in Germany and I bought this at Douglas for €57.50 (about 70 US dollars). I didn't check the ingredients at the shop, cause the sales person convinced me successfully to believe the effects of this product. Later I noticed the main ingredient is dimenticon which is another name of silicon. I spent over 70 bucks to buy a silicon creme. The effect is ZERO. Now I use it as a hand creme, cause I can niether throw it away nor want to use it on my face.

I tried this product last year. It didn't do anything for me. I know they say it takes a couple of months to see results. But nobody wants to wait 3 months!. We all want something that works FAST! Anyway I love love love their youth surge night cream!!!

Vitamin E oil is a great scar healer if you are wanting a cheaper/more natural way to get rid of scars.

I tried Clinique Even Better Clinical too, for medium acne scaring, the only problem I had was that IT DIDNT WORK, there wasnt even enough in there to last more than two weeks, and for 50 bucks? No way. The perscription I got from a dermatologist was cheaper and worked better.

Thanks a lot,
jonina92 1 year ago

Do you have any suggestions for body (legs, really) scars?
myLoveliness 1 year ago
i've been using that shiseido white lucent cleanser for a little over a year. I agree that it does leave a very squeaky feel to ur skin and make ur skin super dry. i kinda like that squeaky feel 'cuz it makes me feel like my skin is really clean. However, i don't use that cleanser everyday. I only use it when i wear heavy foundation. i make sure to apply moisturizer right after it'd be really drying. i like it overall, it's really effective for brightening/whitening ur face..i deff. see results
viviankimtr 1 year ago
If you return your Clinique stuff to Macy's and get store credit, you can buy a large Shiseido cleanser instead!:)
BloomingAllie 1 year ago
$50 is a lot, and if it didn't work for you, Macy's has an AMAZING return policy! They have to take it back no matter what, no questions asked. They give you store credit back. And also, I was browsing TJMaxx and they were selling the Shiseido cleanser there for about $10, yours might have it too!:) Love your videos, thanks for the heads up!
