@DMWestWoodElite Because yours is going awesome. ISU beat Iowa yeah, yeah. They spend all year designing an offense that can beat Norm Parkers' defense. That should take about two hours because Norm Parker sees a spread or a pistol and alternates between the following plays - 3-3-5 just cover your man, damnit; and 4-2-5 please, will ya cover that guy? Then they win one every few years and tank the rest of the year yet have a loudmouth, snotty fan base who has no class. Enoy the season, bro.
asterisk? Kripes, Fred Russell ran through holes that semis could have driven through and Brad Banks had hours in the pcket that year. The OLINE was that entire offense. Banks and Russell were mediocre to above average... see their success at the next level. Brad Banks dropped the ball twice, and ISU capitalized on every opportunity and simply wanted it more. A staple of Coach Mac teams against Iowa. Blaming it on Fred Russell is laughable
Let's not ignore the fact that Fred Russell rushed for 139 yards in the first half before being injured and not returning... Yes, the reality is that injuries happen. But it's also a reality that his absence completely changed the dynamics of the entire game...
Yeah, you're right, Iowa's *loss* to the Cyclones definitely gets an asterisk. There's no legitimacy when Iowa State relied on Russell's injury to eek out win.
How many idiots does it take to fill Jack Trice Stadium?
54,999 to just sit and stare and 1 to rant on and on about how great Seneca Wallace was.

@Iowamutt Typical hawk fan. Always looking for a reason to reject the truth.
